Shops, a market, street-food restaurants and the riverside are all within walking distance. Kampot's night market is about ten minutes away. Scooter rental at the guesthouse makes it easier to reach places beyond the immediate neighbourhood.

Air conditioning is charged on top of the room rate; standard rooms are cooled by fan. Not every room has an outdoor-facing window, so check the description of the specific room you are booking. Scooter rental is arranged on site. Reception is not always attended, so it is worth confirming your arrival time in advance.
Whatever you do, please don’t stay here! We had an obscene amount of ants crawling up the wall next to the bed, then on the floor is what seems to be full of insect excretion, so the room obviously doesn’t get cleaned. Then when you try to address this with the manager it is apparently your fault that we couldn’t find anyone on reception desk and they wouldn’t answer the phone. So we survive a night as it was late and tell them first thing in the morning and they won’t offer a refund for the next night you have booked. Very very rude manager who’d rather eat than listen to you. AVOID
Room was very large, bed comfortable and shower was hot. For very cheap accommodation this was awesome. The manager and staff friendly and helpful. Walking distance to everything nearby, shops, market, street food restaurants and riverside.
About 10 minutes from the Kampot’s night market, the owner is very nice, it’s great value for money, perfect rooms, recommended for any type of travelers
Scam alert ! The room is advertised as "Air Conditioning" and "Outdoor views" but when you arrived suddenly all of it disappeared, no air con ( you have to pay extra for it ) and no outdoor view ( so forget about fresh air ). The room is not bad, quite spacious, but this deceptive policy is simply put a scam. The owner could perfectly sell those rooms being honest and upfront, as "fan room" and "no outdoor views" but when confronted with the screenshot stating "air con" and "outdoor view", he dismissed it all with the attitude "take it or leave it". I asked for a full refund, and while searching alternatives in Agoda, the owner approached me with a grim stating that I won't find better deal. Left without hesitation, I don't deal with scammers. My money only goes to honest business.
