Good to know
Rooms come with either air conditioning or a fan, and some use shared showers and toilets rather than private bathrooms. Mosquito nets are provided, and keeping doors closed helps limit mosquitoes in the rooms. Staff can arrange transport, minibuses, and bikes, including for early morning departures such as buses to Phnom Penh.
The staff are friendly and helpful, spoke English too. The location is convenient to the Mekong River and to the local market and bis station. There a some restaurants and cafes along the river. Nomad guesthouse has a menu happy hour drinks.
The bed is very comfortable. The room is very basic, no TV or anything, just a chair and table. The AC and far works. There is a mosquito net. If the door stay open dor a bit, lots of mosquitoes can come in. The bathroom is big, water pressure goes in and out, but hot water is good, the toilet didn't flush well. I saw other reviews mentioned about the roosters waking people up early which is true..:)
All in all, we liked our stay and recommend this place if you want a quick stop over to break up the long trip to Phnom Penh.
Good spot with nice value to stay in, manager and staff are cool. Location is central. Yes, there are mosquitoes and rooster anytime of the day, like everywhere else.
Mosquito net did not fit but it was ok.
Shared shower and toilet were clean, there is hot water available
We ate at the restaurant after wandering past and being interested in the menu. The staff were so friendly and polite. The food was great, a good mix of Cambodian and western foods with something for everyone.
We came back again the next day as it was so good, my partner ordered fish and chips on our second visit and the tartar sauce was absolutely phenomenal!! The Cambodian dishes were great too!! (The garlic bread is deceiving, it looks very simple, but had an incredible flavour.) Everything we had is highly recommended.
Had such a pleasant stay here. The rooms are nice and very spacious with pictures on the wall and are equipped with bamboo furniture. The price per night is very affordable. They also have a cozy bar/restaurant area. Best part is the people though. The staff is so welcoming and smiley, will always ask you about your day and help with everything. They even gave us free banana for our early morning bus to Phnom Penh. Would stay there again 100%.
The facility is really simple. We had a room with fan, and the fan was really loud. So no sleeping without ear plugs. The bathroom was also basic. I loved the water pressure, but was disappointed by missing toilet seat and unfunctioning bathroom fan :( and the metal door to bathroom was really loud and bent so everytime you used it, it squeaked...
Plus the room was very dark, as just one of the lights had a bulb. And also there was no natural ventilation as the windows used for ventilation in the past has been blinded by glass.
And if you are unlucky and have noisy neighbours above you as we did, be sure to be waken up if they arrive late to the guesthouse.
The staff was friendly, but that is not enough for a pleasant stay.
