I had a lovely experience at Le Tonle in Kratie Province. The location is great—peaceful, convenient, and a wonderful place to enjoy the charm of Kratie.
The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh and tasty local flavors. What really made the experience special was the friendly and welcoming staff. Everyone was kind, helpful, and made us feel at home.

Great location on the Mekong riverfront! Simple but comfortable rooms. The staff is very friendly and professional. A bit disappointed that the restaurant was privatized when we were there, but the overall experience was very positive. A reliable and heart-warming place to stay in Kratie
I came very tired and unfortunately I could not sleep at all. I am really sorry, but I cannot sleep on an upper bunk bed that it is constantly moving. Maybe this is just me, but the bed was not attached on a wall and every time I slightly move the whole structure was moving , so I was staying there both uncomfortable and stressed out that I will wake up the other person. I think this is something you could easily fix.
Also, there is no locker in the room, so I don't know where to leave my belongings. So I had to carry my little bag with me.
I think there are other good options with better price in the area.
The service was very good and they helped me check in late.
We really enjoyed our stay here - the staff were lovely - both friendly and helpful. Our room was sparsely furnished but clean and comfortable (but it is a guesthouse rather than a hotel). However, as there was a kettle in the room, I was surprised there was no tea or coffee provided. The location was perfect for us - within walking distance of the town, opposite the ferry to Koah Trong Island (good for a visit) and within reach of Kampi for dolphin watching (recommend taking a kayaking tour). The restaurant was excellent both for breakfast and dinner and, if you like a cocktail, I would highly recommend the Kratie Basil🍹!! All in all it's a nice place to stay and extremely reasonably priced. Would recommend leaving a little extra time when leaving as the bill is calculated when you check out!
Great guesthouse, super clean rooms and friendly staff. Stayed for two nights and it was perfect. Love that they try to be sustainable in things like water. I had a double room and it was massive. AC works very well
