Good to know
The property is open 24 hours, Thursday to Wednesday. Breakfast begins at 7:30am. Outside food and snacks are not permitted to be brought into the resort, including items from local markets.
A wonderful setting nestled into a beautiful jungle like setting at the base of a large mountain. The villas are roomy and clean. The pool area and bar are fabulous. The price is very reasonable and it includes a very tasty free breakfast. Great wifi. The best part is the staff, especially the Khmer and French men who take care of all your needs. This is our 8th visit in the past 2.5 years. 5 STARS 🤩
Resort is set in nice gardens, rooms are OK and pool good. However, not to be recommended. Too many new rules now. Even if you buy meals/drinks at the resort it is forbidden to bring any food of any kind into the resort. There are signs everywhere. So impossible to buy snacks or sample anything from the crab market to eat on the room's verandah. I understand this makes sense in public areas but not at your room. Also breakfast was meant to start at 7.30am. The staff are late arriving each morning so couldn't have the breakfast paid for on the last morning as had to leave before it would have been ready. Was a great resort under the old management but standards have sadly slipped and with all the rules and lack of breakfast it was a stressful stay rather than relaxing. Better options are best considered in Kep. Such a shame.
I had three days wonderful stay at Kep Lodge. The property is in a quiet and safe area, perfect for anyone looking to relax and unwind. The atmosphere is serene, with a lovely garden, plenty of space to chill in a hammock, and great facilities including a pool, billiards table, and table tennis. The location is also ideal if you enjoy nature, as it sits very close to the Kep National Park. I even saw monkey came in, but didn’t disturb guest.
The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, equipped with both a heater and AC. And super friendly staff, everyone was welcoming, helpful, and always smiling.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind. The lodge is a bit far from the beach, town, and even small shops, and it takes around 20 minutes to walk to the Crab Market. Along the way, you may encounter groups of dogs from other fences that can be a bit aggressive, so walking at night or alone might not feel ideal. Thankfully, the resort offers tuk-tuk service as well as transportation to other towns, which makes getting around easier.
Overall, Kep Lodge is an excellent choice if you’re looking for peace, comfort, and a nature-friendly escape. I genuinely enjoyed my time here and would happily return!
We spent here 4 nights. The room was big, clean and had a big terrace. The guy at the reception was so so nice, friendly and helpful!!! Choice of breakfast was good and we loved the coffee 💕
We also loved the beautiful pool area in the afternoons.
The Hotel is situated in quiet area.
Would come back for sure!!!
Fantastic stay! Great food, friendly people, clean and gorgeous room. The pool was never too crowded, always a cozy place to lounge and cocktails aplenty.
The owner seemed truly connected to the community and told us of his involvement concerning a campaign to keep the Kep beaches free of garbage (a huge problem in SE Asia, piles of garbage in the waterways).
Highly recommend.
