We (@gus_y_dani) stayed at this accommodation in Siem Reap and had a very positive experience. The value for money is really good: the room was spacious, comfortable, and well organized, with a useful desk for working or keeping things tidy.
The bathroom was very large and had a Western-style design, which we really appreciated. You can tell that some thought has been put into creating a comfortable and familiar environment for travellers, different from many other places you may find in the country or nearby countries. That small Western touch really makes a difference.
Another very positive point was the shared kitchen: it was clean, tidy, and well maintained. The lady and her children clearly take good care of the space, and it shows. There were also several useful utensils, including a toaster — something that, after six months travelling around Asia, felt almost like a historic event. Small things, big happiness.
The location is tucked away in a few small streets, but for us that wasn’t a problem. Tuk-tuks can still reach the place easily, and if you rent a motorbike, you can park it there without issues.
They also offer daily room service, and provide water and coffee. Overall, it is a simple but very comfortable, clean, and well-kept accommodation. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, practical place with excellent value for money in Siem Reap.
Hello,
I left a very positive review of Green Stay Village three weeks ago. After seeing the negative review from another guest today, I truly feel sorry that her stay did not go well. I would therefore like to share my own experience, which has been very different.
I have been staying at Green Stay Village for five weeks now, and I absolutely love it here. I need a quiet environment to study, and this place is perfect for that. I never hear the owners or their children, and even the tourists who stay here for a few days are always calm and respectful.
Of course, there are roosters at the neighbors’ place, but since we are outside the city of Siem Reap, this seems completely normal to me.
The owners are welcoming, helpful, honest, and always ready to assist.
The rooms are spacious, clean, modern, nicely decorated, with a beautiful bathroom, a small fridge, air conditioning, a fan, and a little terrace.
And the internet works very well !
The shared kitchen and common living area, open and surrounded by plants, are very pleasant and always spotless.
I am leaving in a few days, but I highly recommend this place.
I warmly thank the owners again for such a wonderful stay❤️

Very beautiful, clean and quiet homestay!
The rooms are spacious, clean and nicely decorated.
The air conditioning and fan work very well, and there is a small fridge in the room.
Outside, there is also a shared kitchen available.
The owners are very kind and do every
Nice room but due to the location you always need to take a tuk tuk. The room is really spacious but unfortunately outside they are doing some roadworks so due to that and the rooster, I always waked up at 4 or 5 am.
Recommended for who want to have an experience and live like a local
Very lovely stay, room was fantastic. Quiet location only 5 minutes ride from town. Would highly recommend. We would definitely choose to stay here again after, brilliant price. Lovely owners too. We felt very welcome.
THE LOUDEST PLACE I”VE EVER STAYED AT IN S.E.A.
I don’t know why people say this is a lovely quiet peaceful place? I specifically booked here bc of that. I finally found the place, checked in my room and was dismayed to find the a/c didn’t work well. I thought ok, I’ll deal with it. Gave my washing to the owner, which was actually the most expensive I’ve ever seen-$2.50 a kg when it’s usually $1-$1.50 a kg. (I didn’t end up getting the washing done btw) I settled into the room, which seemed nice. And then the noise started. There is work going on next door so there was half a dozen male workers drinking, gambling, playing loud music and cooking. (This is on hotel property as you can see in my video) But that wasn’t enough-so there was also karaoke next door as well until midnight. After falling asleep just before 1am, at 4/4.30am the ROOSTER started. They have a chicken coop right in the yard!? Literally in front of the rooms!? So the rooster starts, and all the other chickens copy, and then they all jump on the coop so you can hear them on the metal. It was a nightmare. I saw the owner at 5.15am and asked him how often it happened, he said the chicken? Every day. 😱😳
I messaged booking.com at 5.30am and asked for a refund-there’s no way I was going to stay there for days. So then 20mins later the owner knocked on my door and said he’d give me a refund. Also told me my washing hadn’t been done, so I could take that. He refunded me $57 of the $67 I paid. I’m glad I got a part
