The owner is very nice and helpful. Highly clean room and tasty breakfast. I booked a tour to Angkor Wat from the guesthouse and also a bus ticket to 4000 island (laos). The owner helped with all this and he is very lovely man taking the best care of customers. The guesthouse is near by atm, restaurants and a grocery. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here 3 years ago when I visited Siem Reap alone. My original booked hotel nearby happened to be overbooked so they transfer me to stay here for 1 night before I could check in. First I was skeptical as the exterior looks very simple. Later I found that I was over concerned. The onwer has few words but very straighforward to do their business and helpful. No hidden fees or surprise charges. Usually overbook situation might upset someone but after the stay I found the experience actually even better than my booked one! Rooms are in diffferent floors of a town house setting which is common here. The room is private, very clean, designed in a simple but refreshing and sleek fashion. You have all necessary amenities including small appliances, Wi-Fi, air, heated water, hangers and all to make a very comfortable stay. It is the safe, smooth, handy and comfortable experience that amazed me. If I have chance to come back to Siem Reap, I would like to revisit here. I wish this guesthouse sail through this difficult covid period. ❤

Nice house, comfortable beds, nice staff, flexible check in, highly recommend, good value for money. We visited in April 2019. The place is in first floor of an apartment. Supermarkets, exchange, shop nearby, pub street is 15 min by walk.

The Golden Takeo is one of the most attractive and peaceful guest houses in Siem Reap. Into the bargain, you get great food, a roof garden and top-notch service. Plus, it's a very safe space and reasonably positioned on the edge of town, down a quiet lane near Wat Bo. If you want a lift into town or Angkor, you can rely on the in-house tuk-tuks. If you need advice on almost any subject, the scrupulously honest owner, Prom, who speaks fluent English is your man.

The owner is very helpful. If you get a ride here from a tuktuk do NOT tell them you want them to pick you up tomorrow or agree to go with them anywhere. They are trying to scam you. Just go inside and talk to Prom, the owner. Its very clean and like most other guesthouses you shouldn't wear your shoes inside. The restaurant on the third floor is also very good with nothing on his menu exceeding $3.
