Amazing hostel. The staff is very very friendly and helpful (shout out to Vince). The atmosphere is very chilled with many nice people hanging out here. It's not too big which is great. The swimming pool is nice. They can help with bus tickets, motorbike rental, tours in Angkor. The rooms are clean and equipped with AC. Something that could be improved is the fact that often the toilets had no soap. But otherwise amazing place 😊

Perfect place to stay if you're looking for a social hostel that's not a party hostel. The dorms are spacious with curtains and personal lights on the beds. Bathtooms are new and clean and they're currently building more. A big selling point for this place is the staff, who are so incredibly friendly! The outside space could maybe use some more chill seating like beanbags or hammock because currently its only tables with benches, which makes it a little less inviting to hang out by the pool. Other than that, 10/10 would recommend.

Gecko Hostel is always my go-to place whenever I visit Siem Reap Cambodia. It truly feels like a home away from home. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The staff and management are absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything you need. They create such a comfortable and positive atmosphere that it’s easy to relax and feel at ease. The hostel is well-organized, clean, and thoughtfully designed, making it perfect for both short stays and longer visits. What really sets it apart, though, is the people—they make every stay memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hanoi. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

I really enjoyed my stay at Gecko. Especially the staff is to be highlighted here and you are getting a great comfort for the budget. I‘d absolutely come back here!

Amazing hostel with good location close to the pub street. Hostel runned by local people whom speak very good english and they are really lovely with a unmatched hospitality. Spacious rooms with one bathroom per floor, however they are working on more bathrooms. Not many people where staying there during low season, but the hostel has common areas to easily meet people. The food is delicious and the pool is great. Joining tours can be fixed really easily with them. Would definitely recommend this hostel!
