Khmer House Resort is a resort hotel set on Palm St, a short tuk-tuk ride from the centre of Siem Reap. The property is built around greenery and water, with two swimming pools, including an outdoor infinity pool, and warmly decorated, traditionally styled rooms set in a garden setting.
The resort offers a restaurant, a spa offering massages, and a free hotel tuk-tuk service that guests can use to reach the centre or book temple tours and airport transfers. The setting suits travellers who want a quiet base with pools and gardens to return to after visiting the temples, while still being able to reach central areas such as Pub Street when they choose to go out.

The resort sits on Palm St, away from the busier, more commercialised centre of Siem Reap, giving it a quieter, garden-like feel. Despite this distance, the free hotel tuk-tuk and short rides of around 15 minutes connect guests to central areas, including Pub Street, as well as to the temples.
Good to know
The resort operates a free tuk-tuk service for guests, which can also be used to arrange temple tours and airport transfers. Massages at the on-site spa are offered at a discount. The property is listed as open 24 hours, Thursday to Wednesday.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was very cozy, with a beautiful garden and a lovely swimming pool. The lush greenery throughout the property made it feel peaceful and relaxing.
The restaurant was very good, serving generous portions at prices comparable to those at restaurants in the city. The staff were attentive, polite, and genuinely friendly, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.
Although the hotel is a little outside the city center, they provide a complimentary tuk-tuk service, which was very convenient. We also booked our temple tours and airport transfer through the hotel. The airport transfer took about an hour, and everything was well organized.
We honestly have nothing to complain about. It was a warm, welcoming stay, and we would happily recommend it to our friends-travellers
One of the best accomodations I've ever experienced. The staff is simply fabulous. Never seen nicer people in my life.
The accomodation kept us at the pool, we almost didn't want to go out and explore (except 2 days at the temples and one day at a lotus farm), which is a bit weird for us. We're explorers usually, when travelling.
Highly reccommended!
The design of the hotel was absolutely stunning, like a hidden paradise in the middle of the jungle. There were not one but two pools, and both were beautiful. They also had a decent discount on massages, which were very good, and the rooms were very spacious with an excellent design.
It’s a bit further away from the centre, which was perfect for me, as you can escape the noise of Siem Reap while still being only a 15-minute tuk-tuk ride away from the centre.
However, there were quite a few issues during our stay. When we checked in, we counted 18 mosquitoes in the room, so while the hotel looks amazing, the jungle-like setting has clearly attracted a lot of the mosquitoes. Unfortunately, housekeeping would often leave the doors wide open, attracting even more mosquitoes, and there were holes above the terrace doors, so new ones would constantly get in. They were so prevalent across the property that it was difficult to use the pool after dark, as they would swarm you the moment you got out of the water. The pools also weren’t cleaned regularly enough, and sometimes there were so many bugs in them that they were unusable. We also found a centipede in the bathroom.
While the reception staff were very nice and competent, the restaurant staff were a different story. Every time we tried to order something from the restaurant, the food would either come out very late, be something different than what we had ordered, or they would not have it. In addition to that, although breakf
This hotel was wonderful. I stayed here with two friends from Japan. The room and pool were very clean, and the atmosphere was peaceful—perfect for a relaxing vacation. It is also conveniently located with easy access to central areas like Pub Street.
Most importantly, even though we arrived a bit late for breakfast, the restaurant staff welcomed us with warm smiles and provided excellent service.
We would definitely love to stay here again.
Exceptional Resort. Deluxe Double room is stunning. Large stone double bath, walk in rain shower with seperate toilet. Large windows for natural light with block out curtains for sleep- ins. Lovely patio overlooking the majestic tree/flowered lined lengthy fresh water pool. They also have a salt water pool. Very spacious room with easy ground floor access, one of us is in a wheelchair which this resort can accommodate. The service and quality at the front desk, restaurant and spa has been excellent. I would highly recommend this resort.
