We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Everything exceeded our expectations! The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help, making us feel truly welcome. The breakfasts were outstanding, with a great variety of delicious, fresh food every morning. Our room was beautiful, spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The swimming pool was also excellent—clean, relaxing, and perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. We would highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again!

We had such an amazing experience at Eightfold from the time we walked in. The staff was so welcoming and kind and went above and beyond at every turn to make our trip extraordinary. Another great bonus this with this hotel is they do not add charges on transportation or excursions like other hotels or countries nearby. The property itself, although a bit off the beaten path, it is close to shopping and restaurants and the free Tuk Tuk was all that we needed for transportation. The hotel arranged for additional transportation to the airport and private tours to the Temples as well for a very reasonable cost with an amazing guide and driver. The hotel gave us really great recommendations for both restaurants and tours that we were very happy with. The property and rooms are absolutely gorgeous and well thought out with beautiful art work and plant life everywhere. Simple yet overwhelmingly beautiful. We didn't get to visit the spa but it looked like a peaceful and beautiful oasis and was very reasonably priced and open late. The restaurant on site is so good and flavorful. Breakfast as well as dinner was made to order and did not skimp on Cambodian flavors but there were also American breakfasts if that is your preference. A self serve espresso machine made it easy to get mornings started at breakfast as well. We highly recommend Eightfold and wish we had more time to spend visiting there as well as in Cambodia. Do yourself a favor and stay here while in Siem Reap!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was great - the hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were extremely polite, friendly, and attentive, always ready to help and make our stay as pleasant as possible. They were also very accommodating and kindly offered us a late check-out for a small additional fee, which was incredibly helpful. A special thanks to Mr. Kelvin at the reception - he was so friendly, helpful, and attentive. He really made us feel welcome and took great care of us throughout our stay. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this hotel! ❤️

We had a tremendous stay at Eightfold. Chris at the front desk always greeted us with kindness (including the best kindess: cold face towels when we came back!), and the restaurant staff was super attentive. Our drivers were easy to communicate with and always on it as well. Location is secluded yet a quick tuk tuk ride away from downtown. Pool is lovely as well. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Eightfold Resort in Siem Reap for 7 days, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful, very well maintained, and extremely clean. The best part of our stay was definitely the staff. Their hospitality was exceptional — always polite, welcoming, and ready to help with anything we needed. We honestly don’t have enough words to describe how kind they were. Today is our last night here, and the team surprised us with a complimentary dinner as a gesture of appreciation for staying with them, which was very thoughtful and touching. The food was really good. Every day from 6pm to 10pm they also provide a free transport service to the city centre, which was very convenient for us. And it took 5 minutes from the hotel to city. Another thing we really appreciated was their WhatsApp support — we could contact them anytime and they responded quickly. A small but very caring detail we noticed was that every evening before we went out, they offered mosquito spray to help protect us from bites. These thoughtful touches made our stay even more comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay and are very grateful to all the staff for their kindness and excellent service. Highly recommended! 😊🌿✨

Ground Zero: Martial Arts & Yoga Centre

Restaurants 609 m 8 min walk 4.9/5 on Google

Ground Zero: Martial Arts & Yoga Centre is 609 m north of Eightfold Urban Resort — about 8 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Eightfold Urban Resort are HAVEN (850 m) and Fellini Siem Reap (994 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

This is primarily a martial arts and yoga training centre in Siem Reap that also runs a small cafe for members and visitors, serving fresh meals, coconut water and smoothies under the guidance of a chef who co-owns the place. The centre offers disciplines including Bjj, Kun Khmer and Bokator, alongside yoga and movement classes, plus facilities such as an ice bath. Longer stays are possible too, including a 28-day retreat format.

Guests consistently describe a welcoming, community-driven atmosphere where newcomers are folded in quickly by both staff and other trainees, even if they arrive nervous or with no prior experience. Coaches are praised individually for distinct teaching styles and personalities, which reviewers say keeps training varied rather than repetitive. The food served on site comes up often and favourably, described as fresh and appealing rather than an afterthought to the training. No significant complaints or caveats appear in the available reviews.

This suits travellers looking to combine a stay in Siem Reap with structured physical activity, whether that is a single drop-in class, a short course, or the longer 28-day retreat. It is less a conventional restaurant stop and more a training base with a cafe attached, so visitors coming purely for a meal should expect the food to be secondary to the martial arts and yoga programming. Opening hours run from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM Monday through Friday, with shorter hours on Saturday and Sunday, so it is worth checking the schedule for specific classes before turning up, particularly for popular sessions like the ice bath or Kun Khmer training.

HAVEN

Restaurants 850 m 11 min walk 4.9/5 on Google

HAVEN is 850 m north of Eightfold Urban Resort — about 11 minutes on foot. Of the 3 places under “restaurants” within a kilometre of the hotel, this is the best rated.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Eightfold Urban Resort are Ground Zero: Martial Arts & Yoga Centre (609 m) and Fellini Siem Reap (994 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

HAVEN is a garden restaurant on Chocolate Road in Siem Reap, open daily except Monday from 10am to 10pm. It operates as a training restaurant, giving disadvantaged young adults hands-on experience in hospitality, and the owners are frequently on site, often stopping by tables to chat with guests. The menu runs from curries to salads to vegan options, alongside cocktails and coffee, served in a leafy, relaxed setting that guests describe as an oasis from the streets outside.

Reviews are strikingly consistent: visitors praise the food quality across multiple dishes, from the fish to a vegan carrot cake to a beef salad described as beautifully plated, and several mention returning more than once, including one group of twenty who noted every dish arrived together and on time. Service is repeatedly called warm and attentive, with more than one reviewer describing staff handling a problem, such as a payment issue, calmly and helpfully. The training-restaurant concept is mentioned often and clearly adds to the experience for many diners, who say knowing the purpose behind the place makes the meal feel more worthwhile.

Given the volume and consistency of praise, HAVEN suits travellers looking for a relaxed sit-down meal rather than a quick bite, including groups, couples, and anyone wanting vegan or vegetarian choices alongside more standard dishes. It is closed on Mondays, so plan around that, and the garden setting makes it a good lunch stop if you are already exploring the area rather than a destination requiring a special detour, though several guests treat it as exactly that.

Cafés & bakeries 885 m 11 min walk 4.8/5 on Google

The Bean Embassy Roastery & Specialty Coffee is 885 m north of Eightfold Urban Resort — about 11 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “cafés & bakeries”.

The next two places under “cafés & bakeries” from Eightfold Urban Resort are The muffin man, Siem Reap (1.3 km) and Dialogue (1.3 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

The Bean Embassy is a roastery-café set on the grounds of the Chocolate Garden east of Siem Reap, away from the town's busier streets. It has its own on-site roastery, a small house with plenty of surrounding green space, and both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu runs from breakfast plates, poached eggs and hollandaise among them, to pastries like almond croissants, alongside a full specialty coffee list with detailed flavour descriptions and the option to choose your coffee's strength and sweetness.

Visitors consistently rate the coffee itself very highly, describing it as rich and well-made, with attentive staff who explain the beans and offer small touches like free cookies or water alongside the order. The setting is repeatedly praised for its quiet, family-friendly, green atmosphere, a contrast to more central cafés. The recurring criticisms are the price, which some guests find high for Cambodia, and occasional slow service at busier times, along with air conditioning that has not always kept up with the heat.

It opens early, from 6am daily until 9pm, which makes it a good stop for breakfast after an overnight bus or an early start to the day. Because it sits on the Chocolate Garden grounds outside the central Pub Street area, it suits visitors looking for a slower, quieter morning or afternoon rather than a quick coffee between sightseeing stops. Bringing a book or planning to linger is worthwhile, since guests describe it as a place for sitting and relaxing rather than passing through, and it works well for couples, families, or anyone wanting a calmer alternative to the town centre's cafés.

Fellini Siem Reap is 994 m north-west of Eightfold Urban Resort — about 12 minutes on foot. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Eightfold Urban Resort are Ground Zero: Martial Arts & Yoga Centre (609 m) and HAVEN (850 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

An Italian restaurant on Bamboo Street in Siem Reap, serving pizza and pasta alongside a full separate vegan menu, with cocktails and dessert also on offer. The setting is elegant and relaxing enough to be remembered for the atmosphere as much as the food, and it is open daily from late morning into the evening.

Guests are consistently enthusiastic, with a very high volume of reviews backing up the praise. Pizza and pasta dishes such as papardelle come up repeatedly as fresh and well presented, and the vegan menu is singled out more than once as unexpectedly extensive and well executed. Service is a recurring theme too, with individual staff members and managers thanked by name for attentiveness, including small touches like a complimentary birthday dessert or keeping a toddler entertained at the table. Several visitors mention returning more than once during a single stay in Siem Reap, and more than one comparison is made favourably against actual restaurants in Italy. No significant complaints or caveats appear in the feedback.

Given how often repeat visits are mentioned, arriving without a reservation on a busy evening could mean a wait, so booking ahead for dinner is worth considering. It suits couples, families with children, and anyone travelling with dietary restrictions, given the dedicated vegan options. The combination of Western comfort food, wine and cocktails, and attentive service makes it a reasonable choice for a night that steps away from Khmer cuisine, whether for a casual meal or something closer to a celebration.

SM Art Center is 1.0 km south-east of Eightfold Urban Resort — about 13 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “museums & galleries”.

The next two places under “museums & galleries” from Eightfold Urban Resort are The River Gallery (2.1 km) and The Cocoon House - Art Gallery, Concept Store, Fashion Vintage and Skate Shop - by Cocoon Limited (4.1 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

A small, purpose-built museum on the edge of Siem Reap city, SM Art Center gathers handmade artworks by Cambodian artists across a series of exhibit rooms, with a QR-code audio guide available in several languages. The building itself, along with an attached cafe and a garden out front, is part of the experience, and a gift shop sits at the end of the visit. Workshops are also offered, including a painting session set in the garden that some visitors have taken as a hands-on complement to the galleries.

Guests consistently describe the space as clean, creative, and a welcome change from temple-heavy itineraries, with several noting that the artwork touches on Cambodia's modern history, including the late 1960s, and encourages quiet reflection rather than quick viewing. The ticket price is widely mentioned as reasonable, with a lower rate for Cambodians and students than for foreign visitors. A few reviewers found the layout and flow between exhibits confusing, and one noted the gift shop leans toward the craft-tourism style found elsewhere in the city, though most still called the overall visit worthwhile.

Plan on around 45 minutes if you want to see everything properly, longer if you add a workshop. The museum is open daily from 8am to 5pm. It suits travellers looking for something contemporary to mix into a Siem Reap itinerary otherwise dominated by temples, and those with an interest in Cambodian art and recent history in particular. Booking ahead for a workshop, such as the garden painting session, seems worthwhile given the personal attention some guests received.

Old Maison Eatery is 1.0 km north-west of Eightfold Urban Resort — about 13 minutes on foot.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Eightfold Urban Resort are Ground Zero: Martial Arts & Yoga Centre (609 m) and HAVEN (850 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Tucked into the quieter Wat Damnak area of Siem Reap, Old Maison Eatery is a Khmer restaurant with a rustic, well-finished interior that several visitors compare favourably to smarter Western dining rooms. The menu covers local staples alongside some Western dishes, with rice crackers and shrimp fritters served as starters and mains that run from beef lok lak and fish amok to a beef saraman curry. It opens daily from 3:00 to 10:30 PM.

Reviewers are consistent on a few points: the rice crackers with their dipping sauce and the shrimp fritters with pepper sauce are repeatedly singled out, and the saraman curry and lok lak also draw praise. Food prices are described as affordable for the quality and portion size, though one visitor noted drinks run a bit pricier. Service comes up again and again as a highlight, with staff described as attentive, warm, and willing to bring extras like more dipping sauce without being asked. A couple of reviewers mention minor misses, such as fried rice with slightly dry chicken or shrimp fritters that were fine but unremarkable, though these are framed as small quibbles rather than real complaints. More than one guest calls the restaurant among the better meals of their whole Siem Reap trip.

Given how often reviewers mention the place being busy, booking ahead is worth doing rather than turning up on spec, especially in the evening. The setting suits couples and families looking for a proper sit-down dinner rather than a quick bite, and it works well as an introduction to Khmer cuisine for visitors who want familiar comforts like fries alongside more traditional dishes.

MR.LY Gym and Boxing

Sport & fitness 1.1 km 14 min walk 4.9/5 on Google

MR.LY Gym and Boxing is 1.1 km north-west of Eightfold Urban Resort — about 14 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sport & fitness”.

The other place under “sport & fitness” within reach of Eightfold Urban Resort is Aum Yoga Center, Siem Reap, Cambodia (3.6 km).

MR.LY Gym and Boxing is a Kun Khmer and boxing training facility on the far side of the river from Pub Street, offering group classes and open gym access alongside coaching for fighters at different stages of experience. Visitors describe a working gym rather than a polished fitness studio: equipment is functional but not new, and the space is set up for genuine training rather than casual sightseeing.

What comes through consistently in reviews is the quality of the coaching. Guests repeatedly mention coaches who are patient with beginners while still running serious sessions, and several note that champion fighters train alongside regular clients, giving the place a credible, unglamorous feel. Equipment for classes is provided on site, so newcomers do not need their own gear. The value for money is mentioned often, with entry to the gym or a class priced low enough that people treat it as an easy addition to a Siem Reap stay. One longer-term visitor who trained there for two months recalls a demanding daily routine of sparring and clinching that noticeably improved their skills. The main practical caveat raised is navigational rather than about the gym itself: there are multiple businesses with a similar name, so it is worth confirming the route in advance, past Pub Street and across the river.

The gym is open every day from 6am to 9pm, which allows for morning or evening sessions around sightseeing. It suits both complete beginners curious about Kun Khmer or boxing and more experienced fighters looking for real sparring, since reviewers describe classes as adaptable to different skill levels. Anyone booking transport should double check the address given the name overlap with other gyms in town, and those short on time in the city may still find a single class worthwhile based on how visitors describe the experience.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Eightfold Urban Resort are Ground Zero: Martial Arts & Yoga Centre (609 m) and HAVEN (850 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

A restaurant in the Wat Damnak area of Siem Reap built around a single idea: spring rolls, both fresh rice-paper rolls and deep-fried versions, done in a range of creative combinations rather than the standard version found around town. The menu extends to cocktails and mocktails, a vegetarian selection, and desserts such as banana spring rolls, all served in a space with attentive decor and a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Card and Google Pay are accepted, a small but useful detail in a city where cash is often expected.

Reviewers are consistently enthusiastic, with names like Monsoon Rainbow, King Jayavarman and Mama Mia coming up as favourites among the fresh and fried rolls, and several guests recommend ordering one of each style to compare textures. The service is repeatedly described as warm, professional and fast, with staff singled out for genuine hospitality rather than routine politeness. More than one visitor mentions returning multiple times during a short stay, or wishing they had, and dishes are noted for traditional Khmer touches beneath the inventive presentation. No significant complaints appear in the feedback, though the narrow focus on spring rolls means diners looking for a broader Khmer menu may want to check the offerings beforehand.

Open daily from late morning until late evening, Wild suits couples looking for a relaxed dinner, spring roll enthusiasts, and travellers who want a vegetarian-friendly option without sacrificing flavour. Given the popularity reflected in the review volume, arriving a little ahead of peak dinner hours is a sensible precaution for those without a reservation.
