Absolutely loved the central night hotel, the service was super friendly and hardworking ensuring our rooms were kept clean. My favourite part was how central the location was in Siem Reap while being a quiet getaway, was only a short walk to pub streets, the markets and a short tuktuk from the touristy sites. If you want to be close to everything while sleeping in a quiet calm hotel you should to go central night.

Nice location. Easy Accesable. Bed was comfortable. Nice small swimming pool to chill. Only issue was no proper Breakfast very limited options. Specially for vegeterian travelers. Otherwise the Reception staff and the house keeping staff were excellent and helpful. Bathrooms clean. Aircons were working perfectly. I was given an early check in.

Exactly as advertised. Clean Hotel, nice swimming pool, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was simple but good. Rooms were clean and spacious. It was about a 6 to 7 minute walk from pub Street and the Riverside market. Easy to get tuk-tuks right from the hotel. The only reason for the four stars instead of 5 is that the hotel was a bit older. But that didn't detract from the experience or the value for the hotel. We would definitely stay there again.

We recently stayed at the Central Night Hotel in Siem Reap, and overall, we had a pleasant experience. First, the room was unexpectedly spacious for just the two of us, featuring two large beds and a bright atmosphere thanks to the closet room and two big windows. It was a great place to unwind after a day of exploring. Breakfast was incredibly affordable, and we loved starting our mornings in a stress-free manner. The selection included: Omelette Fried eggs Boiled eggs Toast Baguette Butter Jam Warm dish (varied daily) Pancakes Fruits (such as watermelon, pineapple, banana, and occasionally dragon fruit) Water Tea and coffee with milk Juice While the selection felt a bit repetitive over our eight-day stay, it was still decent for Cambodian standards. There were a couple of mornings when the staff seemed overwhelmed, leading to longer wait times for refills, but given the low price, it wasn’t a major issue. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and our room was well-maintained. The bed was made daily, water was replenished, and the trash was emptied regularly. The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants nearby and easy walking access to the night markets and Pub Street. However, there were a few downsides. We could hear some noise from nearby bars in the evenings, which was a bit annoying. The shower also caused the bathroom to flood, but we appreciated the inclusion of flip-flops to navigate this. One of the more bothersome aspects was the presence

Everything is unusual, but very interesting. The hotel is clean, the air conditioning works. The staff is smiling. I'm happy.

The Living Arts Village by Artisans Angkor

Sights 138 m 2 min walk 4.4/5 on Google

The Living Arts Village by Artisans Angkor is 138 m east of Central Night — about 2 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sights”.

The next two places under “sights” from Central Night are Pub Street (496 m) and Old Market Bridge (566 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

The Living Arts Village by Artisans Angkor is a working craft center in Siem Reap where visitors can watch artisans create traditional Cambodian pieces. The space is organized into workshops for stone carving, wood carving, metal work, silk weaving, and painting. You can walk through these areas during production and observe the techniques firsthand. Many visitors mention a hands-on station where you can try stone carving yourself. After the workshop tour, there is a large gift shop selling finished pieces made on-site.

Visitors consistently praise the welcoming atmosphere and the skill of the artisans, who are generally happy to explain their work and allow photography. The open workshop layout means you see the actual creative process rather than a staged demonstration. Most people report the experience takes around 45 minutes. A common note is that prices are higher than in other souvenir shops, though visitors accept this because the pieces are made directly by the artisans and the center can arrange worldwide shipping. Entry is free, though you are expected to visit the shop.

The site is open daily from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. It works well if you want to understand how Cambodian crafts are actually made and buy directly from makers rather than through middlemen. Go in off-peak season if you prefer a quieter, more personalized experience, or expect busier periods during high tourist season.

Bars 186 m 2 min walk 4.5/5 on Google

Charms Cambodia is 186 m north-east of Central Night — about 2 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “bars”.

The next two places under “bars” from Central Night are Ambar Cocktails & Karaoke Bar (374 m) and ASANA OLD WOODEN HOUSE Cocktail Bar (524 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Charms Cambodia is a bar on Steung Thmei in central Siem Reap, positioned near the main pub district. The space is described as roomy and includes pool tables. It operates from 5 PM to 2 AM daily. The bar employs a predominantly female staff, which shapes the nature of the venue and the experience visitors report.

Visitors consistently praise the friendly service and affordable drinks. The atmosphere and music receive positive mentions. Guests note the bar's proximity to Pub Street makes it accessible for an evening out. However, opinions divide on the primary draw: some appreciate the social aspect with staff, while others find the focus on staff interaction as the main attraction either appealing or intrusive depending on what they seek from a night out. A handful of visitors express frustration with the 2 AM closing time, noting that competing venues nearby stay open later and still draw customers at that hour.

The bar suits those looking for a casual evening with pool games and drinks in the company of a young, friendly team. It's best visited after 5 PM, any night of the week. Expectations should be calibrated to the bar's model as a staff-interaction venue rather than a quiet spot for conversation or a music-focused club. The early closing time is worth noting if you plan a later night.

Cinema 272 m 3 min walk 4.2/5 on Google

Sabay Cinema Siem Reap is 272 m east of Central Night — about 3 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “cinema”.

The other place under “cinema” within reach of Central Night is Legend Cinemas Siem Reap (1.4 km).

Sabay Cinema Siem Reap is a multiplex cinema located on Sivutha Road in central Siem Reap, operating daily from 9 AM to 11:30 PM. The venue offers multiple screens showing a mix of international films, mostly in 3D format, alongside 2D options. The ground floor has a snack bar serving popcorn and basic refreshments. Screens are equipped with air conditioning and working sound systems, with seating that includes adjustable armrests.

Visitors consistently praise the comfortable seating, clear audio, and reasonable ticket prices, typically around $2.50 to $3 per ticket. The air-conditioned environment is noted as a welcome relief in the tropical heat. However, guests mention several recurring issues: the men's toilets frequently malfunction, the snack selection is limited to popcorn and microwaved items with few alternatives, and while screen quality is adequate for enjoying films, it is not considered premium. Some visitors also report that most American releases are shown in 3D rather than 2D. The bakery that once operated here is no longer available. One visitor mentioned dark stairs inside the theater, though another dispute this observation.

This cinema suits visitors looking for an affordable movie experience during their stay in Siem Reap, particularly those seeking air-conditioned refuge during midday heat. It works best for flexible moviegoers who are not particular about snack options or cutting-edge screen technology. Arrive early if you have specific preferences for 2D showings, as 3D films dominate the schedule. Ticket prices make it accessible for casual viewing, but plan bathroom needs carefully given the reported maintenance issues with male facilities.

Spa & wellness 276 m 3 min walk 4.8/5 on Google

The Spa Siem Reap is 276 m north of Central Night — about 3 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “spa & wellness”.

The next two places under “spa & wellness” from Central Night are The Secret Eden Spa (439 m) and Relax Spa (795 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Set on Sok San Road, this spa occupies a spacious, well-appointed building where the arrival ritual is part of the experience: a welcome drink, cold water or tea, and sometimes a foot cleanse before guests are guided upstairs to treatment rooms. Facials, body scrubs, wraps and massages, including longer couples sessions with add-ons, are among the treatments on offer, carried out in clean, quiet rooms with soft background music.

Reviewers are consistently positive about the setting and the service around the treatment itself: the foyer, the hospitality touches like tea served afterward, and the professionalism and warmth of the staff come up again and again. Several guests single out particular therapists by name for attentiveness and care, and more than one review notes that pricing feels straightforward rather than inflated with constant discounts. The massages themselves get a slightly more mixed response — most call them relaxing and good, but a few describe them as solid rather than exceptional, with one guest mentioning a minor lapse in a therapist's personal hygiene that briefly took away from the experience.

The spa runs late, open from mid-morning until 11:30pm most days, which suits both an afternoon stop after temple visits and an evening wind-down before dinner. Booking ahead is sensible for longer or couples' treatments, though at least one guest managed to get in with only two hours' notice, and the staff have been described as flexible with appointment times. It works well for travellers wanting a proper pampering session — facial, scrub, wrap or massage — in surroundings that feel more considered than purely functional, though those chasing the single best massage of their trip may want to temper expectations slightly.

X-Bar

Nightlife 352 m 4 min walk 4.2/5 on Google

X-Bar is 352 m north-east of Central Night — about 4 minutes on foot.

X-Bar is a rooftop bar on the corner of Sivath Boulevard and Sok San Road, positioned just outside the main Pub Street strip in Siem Reap. The space has multiple levels and games—pool tables, foosball, air hockey, shuffleboard, and beer pong—along with a notable half-pipe skate ramp on the top level. It opens from 5 PM until 4 AM daily, with a rooftop layout offering views of Pub Street and the surrounding area.

Visitors consistently praise the atmosphere once it fills up after 10 PM, describing it as lively and energetic with a good mix of locals and tourists. DJs and occasional live music are regular features. Drinks are reasonably priced, with canned beers around 1.50 dollars and bottles at 1.75 dollars. Some guests mention a fire show as an occasional attraction. However, experiences vary noticeably: while most visitors enjoy the venue, particularly late into the evening, a few report disappointingly slow service and disengaged staff during quieter periods. The rooftop can be quite subdued in early evening hours with sparse crowds. One visitor noted the bartender appeared uninterested, contrasting sharply with other accounts of friendly staff. The quieter periods mean the music level is manageable compared to other nearby bars, which appeals to those wanting conversation.

X-Bar works best for late-night visits after 10 PM or especially after 1 AM when other bars close and crowds migrate here. It suits visitors seeking games, dancing, and a mixed social scene rather than a focused nightclub experience. Expect it to be calmer in early evening if you arrive before 9 PM, and best visited with a group given the games and social setup. The location just off Pub Street helps it maintain a slightly less touristy edge than venues directly on the main strip.

Ambar Cocktails & Karaoke Bar is 374 m north-east of Central Night — about 5 minutes on foot. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “bars”.

Ambar Cocktails & Karaoke Bar is a two-in-one venue in Siem Reap's Alley W where you can order cocktails and move between drinking and karaoke in the same space. The bar operates nightly from 6 PM until 3 AM. It draws a mixed crowd of locals, remote workers, and tourists, with a casual atmosphere that regulars describe as down to earth.

Visitors consistently praise the cocktails and the friendliness of staff and owner. The owner, who is from Colombia, is noted for mingling with guests and occasionally buying rounds for the bar. Guests mention reasonable prices compared to nearby venues, and several visitors returned multiple times during their stays in Siem Reap. One visitor noted the karaoke equipment could use an upgrade—specifically stronger vocal microphones and additional speakers—though this did not dominate their overall positive experience.

Come in the evening or late night if you want a sociable atmosphere; the bar is busiest after work hours and into the early morning. The karaoke facilities are available but not state-of-the-art, so manage expectations if you're seeking polished karaoke-bar production. It suits anyone looking for cocktails in a relaxed setting without pretension, and particularly appeals to people staying longer in Siem Reap who want a regular spot.

Wild is 415 m east of Central Night — about 5 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Central Night are Graines de Piaf (418 m) and Mesa - Restaurant (472 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

A restaurant in the Wat Damnak area of Siem Reap built around a single idea: spring rolls, both fresh rice-paper rolls and deep-fried versions, done in a range of creative combinations rather than the standard version found around town. The menu extends to cocktails and mocktails, a vegetarian selection, and desserts such as banana spring rolls, all served in a space with attentive decor and a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Card and Google Pay are accepted, a small but useful detail in a city where cash is often expected.

Reviewers are consistently enthusiastic, with names like Monsoon Rainbow, King Jayavarman and Mama Mia coming up as favourites among the fresh and fried rolls, and several guests recommend ordering one of each style to compare textures. The service is repeatedly described as warm, professional and fast, with staff singled out for genuine hospitality rather than routine politeness. More than one visitor mentions returning multiple times during a short stay, or wishing they had, and dishes are noted for traditional Khmer touches beneath the inventive presentation. No significant complaints appear in the feedback, though the narrow focus on spring rolls means diners looking for a broader Khmer menu may want to check the offerings beforehand.

Open daily from late morning until late evening, Wild suits couples looking for a relaxed dinner, spring roll enthusiasts, and travellers who want a vegetarian-friendly option without sacrificing flavour. Given the popularity reflected in the review volume, arriving a little ahead of peak dinner hours is a sensible precaution for those without a reservation.

Tucked on Funky Lane in Siem Reap, Graines de Piaf is a small French restaurant open evenings only, run by a French owner who cooks and often talks guests through the menu himself. Dishes mentioned by visitors include bavette, magret de canard, pork filet with truffle sauce, duck in mustard sauce, beef fillet and creme brûlé, with meals typically served with salad and bread in the French style, alongside wine the owner is happy to pair with the food.

Reviews are consistently positive, with guests praising the quality and freshness of the cooking, reasonable prices, and the warmth of the owner, who is repeatedly described as friendly, passionate and attentive, including to non-French speakers thanks to an English menu. The one recurring caveat is space: the dining room is small and can get crowded and noisy on busy nights, with karaoke inside, so some diners have ended up seated outside among smokers, which they actually found quieter than the interior.

This is a place for an evening meal rather than a casual lunch, since it only opens from 6pm to midnight. It suits travellers who have had their fill of local cuisine and want a properly cooked French dinner with wine, or anyone curious about a small, personally run kitchen rather than a large restaurant. Given the limited seating and evident popularity, arriving early or booking ahead is worth considering, especially on weekends, and those who prefer a quiet indoor setting might ask about seating before committing to a table.
