Good to know
The property is open 24 hours a day, every day of the week. It has a wheelchair accessible entrance and a wheelchair accessible parking lot, along with onsite services.
The location is peaceful, especially with the nice river view. The air conditioner worked very well and kept the room nice and cold, which made the stay more comfortable. However, the room itself feels a bit old and could use some maintenance. The mosquito net was damaged but still being used, allowing mosquitoes to enter the room. The bathroom was acceptable but average, around 3/5. The front door facing the river did not close properly and should be repaired for both security and comfort. The furniture quality was around 6/10—functional but showing its age. One concern is privacy. People outside can easily see into the room when the window curtains are open, so improving the window coverings would make guests feel much more comfortable. Overall, the stay was decent thanks to the cool air conditioning and pleasant surroundings, but the property would benefit from maintenance and upgrades to improve comfort, privacy, and the overall guest experience.
I booked a fan room and it was fine. The place is airy, lots of trees around, and outside looks cozy. The riverside restaurant has a nice view, and it’s peaceful when there aren’t many guests. My bungalow had good airflow, which I liked.
But the issues…
Maintenance is clearly not a priority, and cleaning is far below standard. Dusty rooms, cobwebs on the walls—it just feels neglected. I guess you get what you pay for, but still, the service quality is not even up to basic standards.
First night, the toilet wouldn’t flush. They responded and tried to fix it, but it happened again the next day. They are responsive, but the quality of service just isn’t there. I asked to change rooms or upgrade, but no other room types were available. I was okay with the fan, so they moved me to another bungalow.
The second bungalow was worse. The sink was clogged, pipes were squirting water, and the floor was badly damaged with rotten wood panels and even a gap. I had to cover it with a rug to keep rats out. And yes, there are rats—you can see or hear them trying to mess with the bins downstairs. Some areas of the property are messy or dirty too.
They fixed the sink and pipes, but nothing was done about the flooring. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable.
I’m not too sensitive about these things, so I just dealt with it, but I know not everyone would be okay. I considered leaving but decided to stay.
Staff are just so so. Some are nice, some not welcoming. Food is fine.
This plac
Location is very quiet and around nature. To walk to city is about 25 minutes. Rooms are cozy, a little small but comfy bed. Bathroom was big. Had warm water. View from here is quiet pretty and peaceful.
Staff was super friendly and helpful.
The room we got is garden view bungalow. At the back of our bathroom has a chicken farm I think. Whenever we go to the toilet or take a shower, it has smell of chicken farm. At the front of our room is the reception and a lounge area. So, they play music via bluetooth and do Karaoke until almost midnight. The karaoke comes from not only from the lounge but also comes from the back of our room. It is very loud and we couldn’t sleep as they sing at the same time. In the room, they put a note says to keep calm but they cannot even follow their own rule. The lighting in the room is not bright enough as they use only yellow lights, should add one main bright light.
Except these, the room is fine, clean, the air conditioner is really good and fair enough.
Yet another mediocre experience that could, with a little thought and effort be so much more.
The bathroom was the major let down with poverty level accessories for showering. Also the Aircon drain was constantly running across the floor, something that would only need a metre of hose fitting Once.
Oh, and the room art was very questionable - especially for a family room. Make your own mind up but the girl in the gold picture is obviously in a state of bliss...
My overall impression was that the owner had staffed it the place with young, inexperienced staff who were working for peanuts. I hope that I'm wrong but that's how it appeared.
