Yellow Sun is a nice place to relax and enjoy the sunset. The food is good, and the room was clean, although I did not find it very comfortable. However, I was disturbed by some very young teenagers, who appeared to be around 14–15 years old, drinking and smoking there. Since people were smoking in many areas, it was difficult to enjoy the fresh air. Overall, it is a beautiful and relaxing place, but better control of smoking would make the experience much more enjoyable.

The staff here are absolutely amazing and really friendly along with the food which my chicken burger was delicious! It’s such a shame that this is where the pros end as the place has such potential :( The dorm rooms smell like urine and i felt as though i was sleeping in the public toilet, throughout the night i was woken up to rats or mice scratching around in the walls and chewing the wood which was very unsettling and i struggled to get back to sleep. The whole place seems extremely unhygienic and i feel really unclean after staying here, even after showering in the filthy toilet shower rooms. I wish i could recommend this place but until the living conditions improve / renovations happen i would stay well clear of this hostel.

I come to this guest house often, it's one of my favourite places in Kampot. The staff are always really friendly and the atmosphere is tranquil in the most perfect of ways. It's like time slows down here. I highly recommend. Also, they have the best fried rice I have ever tasted, and I have eaten a lot of fried rice.

One of the best hostels I stayed on a 18 months RTW trip. Lovely staff, very very chilled vibes by the riverside, awesome volunteers, great food, amazing commun areas. Honestly very very nice. The dorms are simple but if you are okay with that, it is really wort it.

We loved staying here for the social space, location on the river and kayaks. It was one of the most memorial parts of our trip, even though we only stayed one night! The food was excellent and good value for money. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The dogs were great company too! The room was basic, with only a fan, but had everything we needed and it opened onto the river which was a great view. You will need to get a tuk tuk into town, but there was always someone waiting to take us and it's easy to get a Grab back.
