We stayed at Twin Villas in Siem Reap in Februaty 2026. This is a stunning place with large and very comfortable rooms. All rooms have air conditioning and a fan to add to the comfort. The hotel and grounds are well cared for and are in very good condition. The swimming pool is beautifully clean and there are plenty of seating areas and sun loungers available. The location is in a quiet area just outside the main town which is a real plus. Easy reach to town centre with a 20 minute walk or a short tuk tuk ride. Breakfast was lovely and the coffe is good. Free water filling point. Trips can be organised from the property to all of the local attractions. All of the staff are lovely and the host,Kheama, is so friendly and helpful. You will struggle to find a place in Siem Reap which will make you feel as welcome and at home than this place.

We planned to stay in Siem Reap for 4 days, but we loved it so much that we ended up staying for 3 weeks! The owners are incredibly welcoming and caring. They helped us with everything and cooked delicious, hearty breakfasts for an extra fee. The hotel has a swimming pool and spacious rooms, and you can rent a scooter and helmet, which is very convenient. In this hotel, they truly take care of you every day. My husband got bitten by something, and the owner immediately gave him a healing cream. She also treated us to traditional food — such a warm and kind woman. We felt completely at home here and didn’t even want to leave! We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel — come and stay here!

It was our best stay ever, Khema is incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel is really nice, great pool, the rooms too, we extended our stay 3 times so we have seen 2 types of rooms and both were amazing. The location is not far from the city center. We definitely recommend to anyone to stay at Twin Villas and enjoy. You could not find a better place ! Thank you very much for everything !

Stayed here 5 nights. The host is a lovely woman from Cambodia who speaks very good English. This is a family run hotel and you can feel that inclusive ‘part of family’ vibe. The room I was in was very clean, comfortable bed, with excellent air conditioning and fan, hot shower, kettle and fridge. Breakfast was the best omelette I have tasted, with bread, coffee and perfectly ripe local fruit. Tuk to pub street area was 3 dollars or less. Lovely green area around pool to chill out. Motorbikes available cheaper than other places. Starting 8 usd/day. So happy I found this home stay… way better than the impersonal hotel I moved from ☺️

Excellent facilities, welcoming staff, ideal location; just outside the busiest part of the city but still accessible. Khema the lady running the show is very friendly and helpful. Would recommend especially for longer stay.

Aum Yoga Center, Siem Reap, Cambodia

Sport & fitness 1.0 km 13 min walk 5.0/5 on Google

Aum Yoga Center, Siem Reap, Cambodia is 1.0 km east of Twin Villa SiemReap — about 13 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sport & fitness”.

The other place under “sport & fitness” within reach of Twin Villa SiemReap is MR.LY Gym and Boxing (2.3 km).

Aum Yoga Center sits on the grounds of Angkor Grace in Siem Reap and offers a full studio setup rather than a single yoga room: showers, lockers, a bathroom, drinking water, books and sofas for lingering before or after class. The schedule runs across styles — Hatha, Vinyasa, aerial yoga, aqua yoga and sound-focused sessions that use crystal bowls, chanting or a teacher's voice during shavasana, sometimes from hammocks. The space itself is designed around greenery and natural materials, giving it a calmer, more resort-like feel than a typical studio.

Visitors consistently single out two things: the cleanliness of the facility, down to guests noting their feet stay clean after barefoot practice, and the quality of the teachers, described repeatedly as professional, attentive and patient with beginners. The aerial yoga class comes up often, with newcomers saying the instructors make the inversions feel manageable rather than intimidating. Several guests who took daily morning classes during their stay describe the routine as genuinely energizing, and one mentions considering relocating to Siem Reap partly because of the center. No complaints or caveats surface in the reviews gathered here.

It is open daily from 7:30 in the morning to 7 in the evening, which allows for an early class before sightseeing or a later one to unwind. Given the range of styles offered, it suits both regular practitioners looking to keep a routine going while travelling and first-timers curious about aerial or aqua yoga in a low-pressure setting. Reviewers who attended multiple sessions in a single week suggest it rewards repeat visits rather than a single drop-in, so travellers with a few days in Siem Reap are likely to get the most out of it.

Parks & nature 1.3 km 17 min walk 4.4/5 on Google

Cambodian-Vietnamese War Memorial is 1.3 km north-east of Twin Villa SiemReap — about 17 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “parks & nature”.

The next two places under “parks & nature” from Twin Villa SiemReap are Flying Foxes (1.5 km) and Royal Independence Gardens (1.5 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

The Cambodian-Vietnamese War Memorial is a small park situated on one of Siem Reap's main roads, dedicated to remembering the historical cooperation and conflicts between the two nations. The site centres on a stone monument with distinctive architectural detail. There is no admission charge, and the space remains open around the clock.

Visitors consistently describe the memorial as a peaceful and quiet spot, even in the midst of the busy city surroundings. The stonework and architectural design draw repeated mention, with several noting that it rewards even a brief stop. Most who visit appreciate the free access and the respectful atmosphere, though some acknowledge there is relatively little to see and do beyond spending five to ten minutes observing the monument itself. The area has local vendors nearby selling food and drinks.

The memorial works best as a short pause during a day spent exploring Siem Reap's other attractions rather than as a destination in itself. Its central location makes it accessible to hotel guests staying nearby. Those interested in Cambodia's recent history may want to combine a visit here with nearby museums; visitors have noted it pairs well with more extensive historical sites in the area. There is no best time to visit given the round-the-clock access, though early morning or evening might offer a quieter experience.

The Heritage Walk

Shopping 1.4 km 17 min walk 4.0/5 on Google

The Heritage Walk is 1.4 km south-east of Twin Villa SiemReap — about 17 minutes on foot.

The Heritage Walk is an upscale shopping complex in Siem Reap designed around a hybrid concept that blends indoor retail with outdoor and natural features. The mall includes a multiplex cinema, a handful of international food chains (Starbucks, Domino's, Pizza Company, Dairy Queen), a few retail outlets such as Miniso, and a basement play area. The building itself is spacious with thoughtful architectural layout, but much of the retail space sits empty.

Visitors consistently note that the mall feels quiet and under-occupied, with only a fraction of shops and restaurants operating. Most reviewers describe the atmosphere as deserted or declining, with limited variety for browsing or shopping. The practical reality for many is that the mall functions mainly as a spot for coffee or a quick meal rather than a destination for serious shopping. While the concept was apparently sound, the execution has not drawn sustained foot traffic, leaving large sections of the facility closed or vacant.

The mall operates daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Parking is paid, though the fee is waived if you make a purchase; visitors should note that a lost parking ticket incurs a 5,000 riel penalty. It suits visitors seeking air-conditioned dining options, a movie, or a coffee break in a quieter setting, but it is not the place to rely on for variety in shopping or dining unless you are specifically after one of the anchoring chains. The contrast between its designed potential and current activity level is notable enough that reviews suggest checking what is actually open before making the trip.

The other place under “cinema” within reach of Twin Villa SiemReap is Sabay Cinema Siem Reap (2.0 km).

Legend Cinemas Siem Reap is a multiplex cinema in the city centre offering standard and premium screening options. Visitors find well-maintained halls with spacious seating, good air conditioning, and controlled lighting. The cinema shows films in original versions with subtitles across 2D, 3D, and VIP screening rooms. Regular tickets cost around $3.50, with premium VIP options available at higher prices. Online ticketing is straightforward and accepts credit card payment without requiring account registration.

Guests consistently praise the comfort of the seats and the quality of the sound system. The air conditioning is noted as effective, and the cinema stays cool even during afternoon screenings. Staff are described as helpful and friendly. Several visitors mention the VIP theatre option, which includes reclining La-Z-Boy style seats, blankets, and complimentary snacks and drinks brought to your seat. Prices across the board—for tickets, snacks, and drinks—are reported as very affordable compared to cinemas elsewhere. No significant complaints appear in visitor feedback.

The cinema is open daily from 9 AM to 10:30 PM, making it accessible for both afternoon and evening screenings. It suits anyone wanting a comfortable, air-conditioned escape in Siem Reap, whether watching a mainstream release or catching up on international films. Given the modest ticket prices and friendly service, it's worth checking what's currently screening before visiting.

Flying Foxes

Parks & nature 1.5 km 18 min walk 4.7/5 on Google

Flying Foxes is 1.5 km south-east of Twin Villa SiemReap — about 18 minutes on foot. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “parks & nature”.

The next two places under “parks & nature” from Twin Villa SiemReap are Cambodian-Vietnamese War Memorial (1.3 km) and Royal Independence Gardens (1.5 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Flying Foxes is a bat colony in central Siem Reap that roosts in trees within an urban park. These are large bats, comparable in size to small cats, with wingspans that make them distinctive when airborne. The colony remains active throughout the day, though visitors report they are most animated at sunrise and sunset. The site is free to visit and accessible at any time, sitting amid everyday city life—near a temple, vendors, and open to foot traffic and local residents using the space for exercise or recreation.

Visitors consistently emphasize the experience as remarkable and worth multiple visits. Many note the surreal coexistence of the bats with human activity: people playing badminton or doing morning exercises in close proximity while the bats go about their routines undisturbed by noise, music, or crowds. The colony is reliable—reviewers mention returning night after night across visits spanning days or weeks. Some visitors bring drinks and settle in to watch. One caveat: the surrounding area can be loud, with temple drumming and amplified music from nearby venues, though this apparently does not deter the bats. Weather can be unpredictable, and heavy rain sometimes forces early departures.

Sunrise is the optimal time to visit, when the bats are most active and the air is cooler. The site requires no tickets or advance booking. Bring a camera if you wish to photograph them, though their erratic flight patterns make still photography challenging—video may be more practical. The location suits anyone interested in wildlife behavior and natural history, and the free access makes it a low-commitment addition to a Siem Reap itinerary. Plan for the noise and crowds around the site, which are part of the urban context where these bats have chosen to live.

Relax Spa is 1.5 km south-east of Twin Villa SiemReap — about 19 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “spa & wellness”.

The next two places under “spa & wellness” from Twin Villa SiemReap are The Spa Siem Reap (1.8 km) and The Secret Eden Spa (2.0 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Relax Spa sits right next to the Park Hyatt in central Siem Reap, offering massage and body treatments in private rooms. Visitors mention a welcome of tea on arrival, a cold towel and refreshment before treatments, and a hot beverage plus fresh mango afterward. Massage oils come in a choice of scents, including lemongrass, and the facility itself is described as clean, spacious and well air-conditioned. Options mentioned by guests include shoulder, back, neck and head massages, foot massages, full body massages, and couples sessions.

Reviews are consistently positive and repeatedly note steady, well-judged pressure from therapists held for the full duration, friendly and professional staff, and a calm, comfortable atmosphere that some guests connect to Khmer and Buddhist sensibilities. Several reviewers highlight promotional discounts, including a 50% off deal that made longer sessions, such as a two-hour massage, feel like good value. A couple of guests mention personal touches, such as staff arranging a small birthday surprise. No significant complaints appear across the reviews, though the frequent mention of time-limited promotions suggests standard rates may differ from what some visitors paid.

The spa is open daily from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM, making it workable for an evening treatment after a day at the temples or a pre-dinner stop given its Central Park location. Given its popularity and the mentions of discounted packages, it is worth asking about current promotions when booking, and reserving ahead if you want a specific time slot or a couples room. It suits travellers wanting a straightforward, comfortable massage experience in a convenient, easy-to-find location rather than a resort-style wellness retreat.

Made in Cambodia Market is 1.5 km south-east of Twin Villa SiemReap — about 19 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sights”.

The next two places under “sights” from Twin Villa SiemReap are Royal Residence (1.6 km) and Pub Street (1.9 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Made in Cambodia Market is a curated marketplace on Oum Khun Street selling locally made handicrafts, jewelry, and silk scarves alongside street food stalls. It differs from Siem Reap's larger tourist markets by operating at a smaller scale with a focus on artisan-made goods: handcrafted jewelry, brass and copper items, textiles, handbags, and artwork. The market also stocks local alcohol options. Benches near the entrance provide a place to rest between browsing.

Visitors consistently praise the atmosphere and product quality. The market is calm, well-organized, and notably clean compared to busier markets. Shopkeeping styles differ markedly from high-pressure sales tactics found elsewhere; staff are described as friendly and non-pushy, allowing browsing at leisure. The goods carry higher prices than mass-produced souvenirs, reflecting their handmade nature and quality. Repeat visitors mention specific stallholders like jewelry maker Say Sieng. The main reservation from reviews is cost: this is not the place for budget shopping, though visitors who prioritize quality over price consistently say it justifies the expense.

The market opens daily from noon to 9 PM. It suits travellers looking for distinctive, genuinely Cambodian souvenirs rather than generic tourist stock, and those who prefer a relaxed shopping environment without crowds or negotiation pressure. Allow an hour to browse comfortably. If you're staying in central Siem Reap and want to support local artisans while shopping in a pleasant setting, it's worth the visit; if your priority is finding bargains, look elsewhere.

Royal Independence Gardens is 1.5 km south-east of Twin Villa SiemReap — about 19 minutes on foot. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “parks & nature”.

The next two places under “parks & nature” from Twin Villa SiemReap are Cambodian-Vietnamese War Memorial (1.3 km) and Flying Foxes (1.5 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Royal Independence Gardens is a public park in central Siem Reap, accessible around the clock along National Route 6. Visitors find a landscaped space with historical statues, mature trees, and good lighting that extends into the evening. The Preah Ang Chek Preah Ang Chorm shrine sits within the gardens themselves. The park draws joggers, walkers, and people playing casual sports, and several cafes nearby serve coffee.

Guests consistently describe the gardens as clean and well-maintained, with a peaceful atmosphere suitable for a stroll regardless of the time of day. Many highlight the cultural and spiritual quality of the space, particularly around the shrine. The most distinctive feature visitors mention is the congregation of hundreds of flying foxes hanging in the trees—an unusual sight that recurs across multiple reviews. Some acknowledge the gardens are pleasant rather than exceptional as a destination in themselves, though most find them worthwhile for a visit. The area feels safe to move around in at night when lit, and it works for families, friends, or couples seeking a quiet break.

The gardens are open continuously, making them accessible for early morning walks or evening visits. The site requires no entry fee and works best as a stop during a wider exploration of Siem Reap rather than as a standalone destination. The flying foxes are most active and visible in the early morning and at dusk. Those interested in local history and spiritual sites, or anyone wanting a green space to move through without crowds, will find it suitable; visitors primarily seeking dramatic natural beauty or wildlife encounter may feel it offers less.
