This hotel surpassed our expectations. The hotel has a serene feeling as soon as you step inside, with warm and friendly staff, and beautiful design. It's unique and has a really local feel. The hospitality is second to none. The food served is excellent - including vegetarian options - as well as a wide variety of drinks. The pool upstairs is gorgeous and the spa treatments are great. The hotel made exploring the temples at our own pace really easy by arranging our friendly Tuk Tuk driver, Vanna, with a very flexible schedule.

I really knew nothing about Treeline other than that it was highly recommended, but I can say now this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at, anywhere. The design is flawless. The commitment to sustainability is real. The staff are friendly and thoughtful. The food is top-notch. And (I stayed in the low season, to be sure) for all that it’s quite affordable. Whoever runs this hotel ought to work as a consultant to other hotels!

LOVED this hotel! The staff were phenomenal, kind, ultra attentive. The beds were very comfortable. Their design incorporated beautiful handcrafted pottery with a peaceful bohemian vibe. Easily access restaurants and the nearby river. Somehow, the pool is serene - it feels like you are truly in the jungle.

Spacious, comfy and clean suite. The only downside for us was having no bidet in the toilet. But not their fault though, they have their own 5-star standard to follow. We're just too Asian for that. Friendly and welcoming staff. Good food and reasonably priced at Romiet.

This is a first class boutique hotel. Perfectly located in Siem Reap. Staff are amazing and whilst we like eating away from our hotel found ourselves dining in their restaurant more often than normal. Rooms beautiful, pool and bar area relaxed and great service. Night life suggestions were spot on. The staff could not have been more helpful helping to organise a fantastic local circus show, , tuk tuks and a restaurant. The hotel is focused on giving back to the community and sustainability. These values are evident everywhere and help to add a positive ambience. A real joy to be here.

Barcode Bar Siem Reap

Bars 118 m 1 min walk 4.5/5 on Google

Barcode Bar Siem Reap is 118 m west of Treeline Urban Resort — about 1 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “bars”.

The next two places under “bars” from Treeline Urban Resort are Laundry Bar (160 m) and ASANA OLD WOODEN HOUSE Cocktail Bar (410 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Barcode Bar is a drag show venue in Siem Reap's Mondul 1 Village that runs performances nightly from 9 pm. The bar seats guests for a three-hour show featuring performers in elaborate costumes. Visitors describe a casual, welcoming space with air conditioning and a mix of seating, from main tables to spots available on busier nights. The atmosphere draws both tourists passing through and repeat visitors to the city.

Guests consistently praise the quality and energy of the performances, with multiple reviews highlighting the entertainers' costumes and engaging stage presence. The staff and performers are frequently mentioned as warm and approachable—several visitors note that performers remember guests from previous nights and interact with the crowd after acts. The three-hour show format draws praise for its sustained energy. Atmospherically, reviews describe the crowd as lively and welcoming, particularly later in the evening on weekends, though Sunday nights are reportedly quieter than Saturday. The bar stocks drinks that visitors describe as good, though specifics are not detailed in guest feedback.

The venue opens at 8 pm Tuesday through Sunday, with shows beginning at 9 pm and running until around midnight or later. It's closed Mondays. The location in Mondul 1 Village is accessible but not in central Siem Reap's main tourist strip. The three-hour show length and late-night hours make it suitable for visitors planning an evening out rather than a quick drink, and guests mention it as family-friendly for teenagers. Arriving early on weekends ensures better seat options.

Bars 160 m 2 min walk 4.6/5 on Google

Laundry Bar is 160 m south of Treeline Urban Resort — about 2 minutes on foot. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “bars”.

The next two places under “bars” from Treeline Urban Resort are Barcode Bar Siem Reap (118 m) and ASANA OLD WOODEN HOUSE Cocktail Bar (410 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Laundry Bar is a casual bar on Street 26 in Siem Reap with pool tables, a counter serving craft beers and cocktails, and a simple food menu. The space has the feel of a neighbourhood drinking spot rather than a tourist venue, though it draws visitors from across the world. It opens from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily and is known particularly for Wednesday nights, when open-mic performances bring live music to the bar.

Visitors consistently praise the social atmosphere and the mix of people you can meet there—solo travellers often mention it as an easy place to strike up conversations with expats and locals. Pool games are a draw, and those who attend Wednesday's open-mic night tend to be enthusiastic about the music and talent on display. Reviewers highlight the craft beer selection and cocktail quality. One note: some visitors report limited drink variety and have found the venue's responsiveness to orders inconsistent on quieter nights. Non-drinkers may find the mocktail selection thin.

The bar suits anyone looking for a low-key evening with other travellers and a chance to play pool or listen to live music. Wednesday is the night to go if you want a fuller room and live performances. Arrive after 4 p.m. It works best if you're prepared to order drinks readily and engage with the crowd; it is less ideal if you prefer a quieter table experience or need a wide range of non-alcoholic options.

Cafés & bakeries 205 m 3 min walk 4.7/5 on Google

Dialogue is 205 m south of Treeline Urban Resort — about 3 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “cafés & bakeries”.

The next two places under “cafés & bakeries” from Treeline Urban Resort are The muffin man, Siem Reap (257 m) and The Little Red Fox Espresso Cafe (262 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Dialogue is a cafe on Street 27 in Siem Reap with both indoor and rooftop seating. The menu mixes western and Asian cuisines, anchored by a strong coffee program. Visitors report the espresso and lattes are among the best in town. The kitchen turns out standout dishes like fried rice and tenderloins, though some guests found other items unremarkable. Breakfast options include variations on eggs — one visitor had English muffin with poached eggs, hollandaise and bacon — though the cafe does not offer a full traditional English breakfast.

Staff are consistently praised as helpful and friendly, though there is a notable caveat. One guest mentioned that despite requesting it multiple times, their dishes arrived with bean sprouts despite a stated allergy, which raised concern for anyone with dietary restrictions or allergies. The kitchen's attention to special requests appears inconsistent. On the upside, visitors note the carbonara is rich and satisfying if you enjoy heavy sauces, though it may not suit lighter preferences.

The rooftop setting is described as chill and atmospheric, with indoor seating available too. Dialogue opens daily at 7 AM and stays open until midnight (closed Sundays), making it accessible for breakfast, coffee breaks, lunch or evening visits. Happy hour pricing makes it affordable. The location sits walking distance from Pub Street, though the daytime frontage can be hard to spot from the street — it sits on the corner of Street 26 and Wat Bo Road. This works well for anyone after reliable coffee and a casual meal, though diners with food allergies should verify orders carefully with staff.

Parks & nature 252 m 3 min walk 4.8/5 on Google

Kulen Elephant Forest is 252 m south-east of Treeline Urban Resort — about 3 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “parks & nature”.

The next two places under “parks & nature” from Treeline Urban Resort are Royal Independence Gardens (819 m) and Flying Foxes (825 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Kulen Elephant Forest is an elephant retirement sanctuary set within a forested park outside Siem Reap, where a small number of elephants live out their later years in a natural setting rather than performing or giving rides. Visitors join a guided tour through the forest, observing and, in many cases, getting close to the elephants as they roam, bathe or feed, with mahouts and staff on hand to explain each animal's background. Lunch is included as part of the day, and transport to and from the centre is arranged for guests.

Reviews are strikingly consistent: guests repeatedly praise the guides by name, describing them as knowledgeable, funny and clearly attached to the elephants, and several mention that the mahouts treat the animals like family. The focus on retirement and rehabilitation rather than entertainment comes up often, as does the sense that the operation supports both the elephants' welfare and the local community. The pacing of the tour is mentioned favourably, with breaks built in, and food is called a highlight rather than an afterthought. The one practical caveat raised is accessibility: the terrain is not well suited to wheelchairs.

The park opens daily from 8am to 6pm, and given the nature of the visit — walking through forest terrain to spend time near the elephants — it works best for travellers who are reasonably mobile and interested in conservation rather than a quick photo stop. Families with older children and couples looking for a slower, more reflective wildlife encounter seem well suited to it, and booking a guided tour rather than turning up independently appears to be the standard way to visit.

Cafés & bakeries 257 m 3 min walk 4.8/5 on Google

The muffin man, Siem Reap is 257 m south of Treeline Urban Resort — about 3 minutes on foot. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “cafés & bakeries”.

The next two places under “cafés & bakeries” from Treeline Urban Resort are Dialogue (205 m) and The Little Red Fox Espresso Cafe (262 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

A café on Wat Bo Road offering a wide selection of muffins, cakes and cheesecakes alongside a proper breakfast and lunch menu that includes salads, toasties and vegetable-based dishes. Coffee is made in an Australian style, and matcha and other drinks are also on offer. The interior is described as modern and calm, suited to sitting in for a while rather than a quick takeaway stop.

Visitors consistently mention the quality and freshness of the baked goods, with muffins, brownies and cheesecakes coming up again and again as standouts, alongside savoury options like lentil salad, vegetable stacks and chickpea fritters that cater well to vegetarian and vegan diets. The coffee draws particular praise for its quality. Portion sizes are called generous and prices reasonable, and staff are repeatedly described as friendly and attentive. No notable complaints or caveats appear in the reviews, and several visitors mention returning multiple times during their stay.

Open daily from 7am to 10pm, it works equally well for an early breakfast, a working lunch or a dessert stop after dinner, as one visitor used it. The range of vegetarian and vegan dishes makes it a reliable option for travellers with dietary preferences, while the mix of light meals and pastries suits anyone wanting more than just coffee. Given its popularity, arriving outside peak breakfast or lunch hours may mean an easier time finding a seat.

Cafés & bakeries 262 m 3 min walk 4.7/5 on Google

The Little Red Fox Espresso Cafe is 262 m north-west of Treeline Urban Resort — about 3 minutes on foot. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “cafés & bakeries”.

The next two places under “cafés & bakeries” from Treeline Urban Resort are Dialogue (205 m) and The muffin man, Siem Reap (257 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

The Little Red Fox Espresso Cafe is a small coffee shop on Hup Guan Street in Siem Reap, located upstairs in a building that's easy to miss from street level. The space includes a terrace with local artwork and plenty of seating, both indoors with air conditioning and outside. The menu centres on coffee drinks, bagels, pancakes, and baked goods, with several vegan and vegetarian options available. The cafe operates daily except Wednesdays, opening at 7 am.

Visitors consistently praise the quality of the coffee, particularly the lattes, flat whites, and cold brew, alongside fresh pastries and breakfast items like Nordic-style bagels and peanut butter pancakes with cashews and maple syrup. The staff are described as friendly and attentive, and the environment is noted as clean and well-maintained. Most reviews highlight the good value for money and mention that locals frequent the place alongside tourists. One visitor noted the vegan brownie and cookie as standouts. The main caveat is closing time: several guests have found the cafe closing before its stated 5 pm finish, so arriving earlier in the afternoon is advisable if you want an unhurried visit.

The cafe suits anyone seeking proper espresso drinks and Western-style breakfast food in Siem Reap, particularly those with vegetarian or vegan requirements. It works well for a leisurely morning or early afternoon, with free WiFi and staff who don't rush guests. Note that it closes on Wednesdays and, despite opening at 7 am, may close somewhat earlier than the published hours suggest.

Old Market Bridge

Sights 362 m 5 min walk 4.4/5 on Google

Old Market Bridge is 362 m south-west of Treeline Urban Resort — about 5 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sights”.

The next two places under “sights” from Treeline Urban Resort are Pub Street (401 m) and Made in Cambodia Market (498 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

This pedestrian bridge stands at the heart of Siem Reap's riverfront district, adjacent to the Old Market and offering direct access to the surrounding riverbank. The bridge itself is modest in structure but serves as a hub for the evening economy—restaurants, food stalls, and small shops line the water's edge, and the area is lit in the evenings. From the bridge you can see neighboring structures including an art bridge nearby, and the wider riverside promenade allows for a walking loop through the commercial quarter.

Visitors consistently highlight the bridge as an evening destination rather than a daytime sight. The riverside atmosphere at night draws particular praise, with the decorative lighting and restaurant activity creating what guests describe as lively surroundings. The food stalls serve local street dishes and fresh produce, though multiple visitors note that bargaining skill is expected if you plan to purchase. A practical caveat appears in several reviews: the bridge handles vehicle traffic, so caution is needed when walking, particularly if focusing on photographs.

The bridge suits anyone exploring downtown Siem Reap in the evening or hunting for local food experiences. It's open around the clock, so there's no timing restriction, though the atmosphere is most active after dark. The location is central enough that most visitors exploring the city center will encounter it organically. The nearby Old Market offers conventional shopping but requires negotiation; the bridge and riverside are better for casual browsing and eating without the same pressure to transact.

Pub Street

Sights 401 m 5 min walk 4.4/5 on Google

Pub Street is 401 m west of Treeline Urban Resort — about 5 minutes on foot. Of the 5 places under “sights” within a kilometre of the hotel, this is the best rated.

The next two places under “sights” from Treeline Urban Resort are Old Market Bridge (362 m) and Made in Cambodia Market (498 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Pub Street is the main entertainment hub in central Siem Reap, a vehicle-free street lined with bars, clubs, restaurants, and food stalls. The strip fills with lights and music at night and operates around the clock, drawing both tourists and locals. Nearby is a night market offering additional food and shopping options. Visitors can expect everything from dance clubs and cocktail bars to casual seating areas and street food vendors.

Guests consistently praise the atmosphere and value. The street is energetic and social—people mention it as ideal for meeting other travellers and relaxing after temple visits, with an upbeat vibe comparable to entertainment districts in New Orleans or Nashville. Beer prices are notably cheap, with some visitors citing beers around 0.75 USD, and happy hour deals are common. Food options span many cuisines with reasonable pricing. The main caveat is the noise level; music is loud throughout the street, which some find exciting and others find overwhelming. Locals are reported as friendly and willing to chat.

The street works best as an evening and late-night destination after a day of sightseeing. It suits travellers seeking nightlife, casual dining, and a social atmosphere rather than a quiet experience. It is busiest after dark and operates continuously, so timing is flexible. Those sensitive to noise or seeking a more subdued evening should consider elsewhere in the city, though the street remains functional and welcoming throughout its hours.
