The Mended Drum Residence and Bar, Siem Reap

We went to Wild together with my girlfriend for Valentine's evening. We had a great time! The atmosphere is really peaceful & cosy with nice décor. Cocktail are creative and food is delicious. These are not typical spring roll, they really put effort into the menu. The staff is much more professional compared to other well established places in Siem Reap. The owners were not there on that night but things were running super smoothly. I was also able to pay with Google pay / credit card which is worth mentioning in Siem Reap. Overall this was our best diner in Siem Reap. Will be back next time to taste the deserts

Wow!! This restaurant is a MUST if you are ever in Siem Reap. Loved the freshness of the fresh rice paper spring rolls. We chose Monsoon Rainbow and the first mouthful was an explosion of flavour! For the deep fried spring rolls we chose King Jayavarman. The different texture and simple flavours contrasted beautifully to the fresh rolls. As others have suggested it’s a great option to pick both the fresh and deep fried when dining. We finished off with dessert, and couldn’t pass the Banana Wonder Spring Rolls. They were amazing and the accompanying sauces complimented so well. The restaurants beautiful decor and garden setting made the whole experience a wonderful experience.

We had an excellent experience! It’s a fun concept based on many different types of spring rolls. If you’re a spring roll enthusiast (we are!) you’ll have a great time, and even if you’re not, they might be able to convert you 😉 Super good food, beautiful decor and ambiance, friendly and fast service, this place is so good. I wish we could have gone a second time, but we were visiting and didn’t have a chance!! Oh well… Thanks guys, we really enjoyed it 🙏 I got the “mama mia” rolls and also the vegetarian option on the Khmer menu. (Oh also, there are vegetarian options 👍👍). The mocktails were great too, I got the “California Kiss” and loved it.

My husband and I came to Siem Reap for four days, and by a happy coincidence, out of all the places on my list, we chose Wild as the very first spot to eat. We loved it so much that we ended up dining here every single day—either in the bar itself or ordering delivery to our hotel 🥰 The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was especially sweet, and the team’s overall sense of hospitality truly stood out—it felt genuine, warm, and effortless. The food was absolutely delicious. We especially loved that many dishes had traditional touches, which made the experience feel both authentic and exciting. We honestly wanted to try everything on the menu—and ended up overeating more than once, simply because we wanted to savor these flavors as much as possible while we could. Creative and tasty twists on spring rolls along with good selections of drinks. I am surprised with their fresh rolls creations. Enjoyable and nice! Tried and enjoyed three of their fresh rolls. My favorite is the Monsoon. Highly recommended.

Went in off peak season and got a personalized tour of the facility. They do stone, wood, and metal carvings with another section that does silk weaving and another one painting. All are explained in great detail, and you can walk through the workshops. There is also a station you can try carving a piece of stone. The gift shop is very large and has samples of what they do there. Entry is free. Takes about 45 mins for the tour. Prices are higher than other places, but this is also legitimate and from the artisans themselves. They can ship worldwide. Lots of Buddha stuff but they also have shawls, stone carvings, paintings, and a few locally made clothes. Worth stopping by if you have a hour to fill. The facility has been there over 30 years from what I understood.

Had absolutely amazing experience with a guide during the workshop showing. The people are beyond talented and very welcoming. The sculptures, silk workshop and painting are breathtakingly beautiful and represent Cambodian culture well. Couldn’t help but found myself thinking about attending workshop myself. Highly recommend. You can also visit coffee shop and buy items in a store

I went to the Artisans D’Angkor is a great handcrafted center and professional sculpture with wonderful things event shopping. It was convenient for souvenirs if everyone expected to looking for. I highly recommend this place and need.

Fantastic place, 100% recommend!! Beautiful sculptures in Wood, Stone, Copper and woven silk fabric, great information and layout, very impressed, really enjoyed my time there, all the artisans were very welcoming and happy to show their work and allow photos!!

Fully satisfied. Someone else left a one star, saying that the stairs were not lit inside the theater… They absolutely were lit up. Had no trouble going to the bathroom, and back. Also, the 3-D film, and the sound was all fantastic. My only complaint is the price of the popcorn and snacks, but this is pretty much anywhere you go to the movies, in the whole world… These days. 🙏

I love these theaters : nice staff, good seats, great sound, comfortable. Two problems though: men's toilets (always broken) and why most of the American movies are in 3D instead of 2D ??

Major Cinemax in Siem Reap is a top choice for moviegoers looking for a spacious and well-equipped cinema. The theater is one of the largest in the area and offers a great selection of films. For cinema enthusiasts, Major Cinemax is a must-visit destination in Siem Reap.

Great little cinema with good screens & a clear sound system. A/C was nice after coming out of the hot afternoon sun. Seats were clean & comfortable with armrests that you can tuck away. Only a few other people in the theater. Tickets were super cheap at $2.50. We will definitely be back.

Stopped by here to watch a couple of movies while in Siem Reap and honestly it wasn't a bad experience at all like some of the comments I've read.... I mean the ticket literally costs $3 guys. What can you honestly expect? We watched the Minions 2 and the screen quality as mentioned isn't the best, but good enough to enjoy your film. The sound queen was great and most importantly the theater was very clean! As far as the snack bar goes, it does suck. Lol they only have popcorn and some microwave sausages, which in my opinion were not good at all. No other options at all for snacks and the only candy available are mentos! 😂😂😂 Who eats mentos while watching a movie? Anyways definitely worth stopping by to enjoy a nice movie when in the city!

A great Google Maps find in a slightly quieter part of the Siem Reap centre. The ambience had a nice rustic charm about it, but it was the food and service that stood out for us. My family and I tried several local dishes - the signature rice crackers, fried shrimp fritters, wok fried rice, and the beef lok lak. All of which we enjoyed! They saw that we were out of dipping sauce for our appetisers and didn’t hesitate to ask if we would like some more at no extra cost. Prices were also surprisingly affordable for the quality and portion size. The hospitality here is top notch, with the staff even walking us out as we left. Highly recommended for those visiting Siem Reap and are looking for somewhere more secluded yet only a stone’s throw away from Pub Street.

One of the best eateries in Siem Reap. Great local and Western food at very reasonable prices...but book in advance as its always busy. Service is probably the best we've had in Cambodia, the fit out is really cool, feels like a high end restaurant in Melbourne or London. For starters we had the rice cakes and the Shrimp. Both traditional dishes. Shrimp wasnt great but thats the dish, no faulton the kitchen. The pepper sauce with it was delicious. The sauce that came with the rice crackers was amazing and worth the price of admission alone. For mains, we had a Beef Saraman curry which you don't see on menus as often as you should. Was excellent. The Amok was one of the best I've had. The banana spring rolls were a great way to end the meal. The brownie pot however needed more ice cream as it was a little rich and dry. Was hoping it would be gooey inside but unfortunately not. Cheap

Old Maison in Siem Reap was probably the highlight of my trip to Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. In my opinion, the food prices are quite affordable, while drinks are a bit pricey (though that might be normal in Cambodia). The restaurant itself is nice and शांत, with a peaceful atmosphere. As for the food, I really loved the French fries. The fried rice gets an 8/10 — the rice was great, but the chicken was a bit dry. The service, however, was excellent. From the moment we arrived, the staff warmly welcomed us with smiles and guided us to our table. They regularly checked in to make sure everything was okay. I couldn’t finish my chicken rice because the portion was quite large, and the staff even came over to ask if there was any issue with the food — which I found very thoughtful. Excellent introduction to local Khmer cuisine. The meatballs and rice crackers were great starters that really whet our appetites for dinner. We enjoyed the lok lak and fish amok for the mains too. The staff were all very attentive and friendly and gave us an enjoyable dinner experience. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a taste of Khmer food.

I came to this restaurant because of the reviews... and they were not wrong. Everything was just perfect. The staff are so lovely and attentive. The decor and ambience was spot on. The menu had a great choice of dishes and it was hard to decide but in the end I went for the shrimp fritters and the saraman curry. There were 3 good sized fritters....I managed nearly 3 and they were tasty and came with a fabulous pepper dip. The saraman curry was excellent. So many flavours hitting my taste buds it was unreal 😊. Excellent value for money and I will definitely return before I leave Siem Reap.

I’ve joined an open groupclass and enjoyed the experience very much! Coaches were patient and professional. They borrowed me all the equipment I needed. I find it suitable for different skill levels. If I had more time in Siem Reap I would definately come again.

Patient with beginners and very supportive. Well worth making time to visit to blow off the cobwebs or ger some training in. Just be sware there are multiple mr ly's when searching for a ride there. Make sure it is the right one ( past pub street and over the river). Highly recommend this gym.

Super good value for money both classes or if you just want to use the gym it's only 0.75 $ per time. The equipment is not the newest but overall it's a great place to come and train Kun Khmer, Boxing or just using the gym.

I trained at Mr Ly for two months in 2022, right as we were coming out of lockdown. It was a really memorable experience; we were doing three ten minute sparring rounds every afternoon, followed by clinching. All of that ring time pushed my abilities to a whole new level. I hope they're still training at the same intensity, and I hope to come back some day!

Charms is alright for being a girly bar. There were a lot of nice looking ladies working there and I enjoyed my time there. But they do close it down at 2 AM! I have no idea why. It's located very close to Pub Street and there were still several customers there at closing. If you want interaction with some cute girls then Charms is right for you.

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to and best dinning experience I’ve ever had. I was worried that they would not have any vegan options, however, they have the best vegan options I have ever seen. There is a whole separate menu dedicated for vegans. The vegan cheese was excellent! I had one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten! Our waitress Sara was amazing! She was so kind, knowledgeable about the menu, helpful, attentive to every detail to make sure everything was perfect, and gave us the best service. The whole staff was kind, professional and very attentive. The atmosphere is elegant, romantic, extremely clean, and unique. Very high end fine dinning feel, however, the price is very nice and the portion size was very good. Best place for a romantic evening, dinner with friends, or with the whole family. 10 out of 10 here!

A wonderful restaurant, it feels just like being in Italy! The staff is lovely, and we’d especially like to thank Sothea, the manager, who kindly treated us to dessert for my birthday! The food is incredible, and the pasta is exquisite. 100% Recommended 🤩

The pasta and pizzas were very fresh and beautifully presented! We had the papadelle, pesto, and pizzas and some cocktails which were delicious. Rosa our server was very helpful and kind especially as we had a toddler with us— she was so sweet and made sure he was entertained and had fun! The ambience was beautiful and very relaxing and elegant as well.

Our FAVOURITE restaurant, even over Italy! We came 3 times in our 5 nights in Siem Reap and wish this place was nearer home (eg in the UK). Everything was perfect, the setting, the food, the service and the prices so reasonable. We would probably travel back here just for this restaurant.

They have an extra completely vegan menu. Had multiple dishes and all were amazing. Great service as well. Highly recommended.

One of a few Bars where you can have your favorite alcoholic drinks and Karaoke all in one. (karaoke if could upgrade vocal mic and add more speaker 🔊) Anyway love this place.

I am a remote worker and I was based in Siem Reap from May - Sept this year. I used to come here a couple nights a week after work and have really positive memories of here. The owner is such a cool guy, he would take his time out to come and share a beer with everyone and would even buy a round of shots for the whole bar from time to time! Nice mix of locals and foreigners. A really down to earth bar where you will find normal people, not like a certain cocktail bar near by 🙄 I was going through some old pictures and it brought back some great memories of being here so thought I’d drop a review! I aim to be back for another 4 months in SR from February and this will be the first bar i hit up!

My girlfriend and I visited Ambar and we absolutely loved the vibe. We had a couple of drinks and chatted with the owner. They are from Colombia 🇨🇴 and are incredibly nice! They had great latin music playing and even took our request to put on a mix. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend checking this place out!
