The staff were incredible and great pool with great facilities on hand. Highly recommend you stay here. The were so great at organising activities for us transport on Tuk Tuk as well as transport to phenom phen. They had cold towels on arrival every time we walked in and also on the Tuk Tuk during our temple tour! They also helped with our luggage etc as well had so much. Just super helpful and friendly. I was staying with my mum so the attentiveness from the staff made it feel safe and comfortable. We actually extend our stay we loved it so much.

Exceptional atmosphere, friendly staff and clean rooms. You really feel like you’re staying within a jungle as you are surrounded by lush green trees and plants with birds and insects singing. The swimming pool is good as well. That being said, the only disappointment is the prices at the restaurant which are too too expensive so if you’re staying here and don’t want to get ripped off, don’t eat or drink at their restaurant rather go out, there are lovely cafes and restaurants and bars within walking distance. However, I will definitely choose this hotel when I’m coming back to Siem Reap!!

I highly recommend this hotel! The setting is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are spotless, and the swimming pool is exceptionally well maintained. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive. They regularly checked in on us via WhatsApp to make sure everything was going well, which made us feel genuinely well looked after. I also accidentally left some belongings in my room after checking out, and they called me immediately to let me know. The location is perfect—close to the Night Market and just a short drive from Angkor Wat. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Siem Reap. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Upon check in at their sister property, The Urban, i was upgraded and given a room at the Jungle. I stayed for six nights, and it felt like a 5 star resort at the price of a moderate hotel. They had a very good pool with food and drink service, a restaurant, spa, and staff that will literally handle any needs you have all while being just around the corner from all the action on Pub Street . Michael in specific was outstanding. I booked my TukTuk temple driver through the resort and while you can save a few dollars if you want the hassle of searching for a deal, I would just ask for Mooney trough the Hotel as the prices were so reasonable to have someone drive you all day, provide cool towels and water after every stop, and communicate what can be a very overwhelming tourist experience. Their commitment to sustainable practices and environmentally conscious initiatives were commendable and also influenced my positive experience. I will stay with this hospitality group all my future stays in Siem Reap.

A great place to stay tucked away from the road and dust with lots of big plants around plus birdsong! A good sized swimming pool. The rooms are spacious, we had one on the first floor with a balcony. Beds are comfortable and cotton linen is used. Location is a walk or tuk tuk to the main area. There are 3 laundries nearby. Getting up the stairs was easy. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The only reason I did not give the room a 5 is for the annoying light fitting that is just in the way. We both kept bumping into it. It's just a really bad design idea. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay though. It's clean and well looked after and the service is great. We used the restaurant once and whilst the food was very tasty, there are better value for money options elsewhere.

Graines de Piaf

Restaurants 93 m 1 min walk 4.9/5 on Google

Graines de Piaf is 93 m north-east of The Jungle, Siem Reap — about 1 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from The Jungle, Siem Reap are Mesa - Restaurant (524 m) and Wild (702 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Tucked on Funky Lane in Siem Reap, Graines de Piaf is a small French restaurant open evenings only, run by a French owner who cooks and often talks guests through the menu himself. Dishes mentioned by visitors include bavette, magret de canard, pork filet with truffle sauce, duck in mustard sauce, beef fillet and creme brûlé, with meals typically served with salad and bread in the French style, alongside wine the owner is happy to pair with the food.

Reviews are consistently positive, with guests praising the quality and freshness of the cooking, reasonable prices, and the warmth of the owner, who is repeatedly described as friendly, passionate and attentive, including to non-French speakers thanks to an English menu. The one recurring caveat is space: the dining room is small and can get crowded and noisy on busy nights, with karaoke inside, so some diners have ended up seated outside among smokers, which they actually found quieter than the interior.

This is a place for an evening meal rather than a casual lunch, since it only opens from 6pm to midnight. It suits travellers who have had their fill of local cuisine and want a properly cooked French dinner with wine, or anyone curious about a small, personally run kitchen rather than a large restaurant. Given the limited seating and evident popularity, arriving early or booking ahead is worth considering, especially on weekends, and those who prefer a quiet indoor setting might ask about seating before committing to a table.

The Spa Siem Reap

Spa & wellness 252 m 3 min walk 4.8/5 on Google

The Spa Siem Reap is 252 m south-east of The Jungle, Siem Reap — about 3 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “spa & wellness”.

The next two places under “spa & wellness” from The Jungle, Siem Reap are The Secret Eden Spa (443 m) and Relax Spa (590 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Set on Sok San Road, this spa occupies a spacious, well-appointed building where the arrival ritual is part of the experience: a welcome drink, cold water or tea, and sometimes a foot cleanse before guests are guided upstairs to treatment rooms. Facials, body scrubs, wraps and massages, including longer couples sessions with add-ons, are among the treatments on offer, carried out in clean, quiet rooms with soft background music.

Reviewers are consistently positive about the setting and the service around the treatment itself: the foyer, the hospitality touches like tea served afterward, and the professionalism and warmth of the staff come up again and again. Several guests single out particular therapists by name for attentiveness and care, and more than one review notes that pricing feels straightforward rather than inflated with constant discounts. The massages themselves get a slightly more mixed response — most call them relaxing and good, but a few describe them as solid rather than exceptional, with one guest mentioning a minor lapse in a therapist's personal hygiene that briefly took away from the experience.

The spa runs late, open from mid-morning until 11:30pm most days, which suits both an afternoon stop after temple visits and an evening wind-down before dinner. Booking ahead is sensible for longer or couples' treatments, though at least one guest managed to get in with only two hours' notice, and the staff have been described as flexible with appointment times. It works well for travellers wanting a proper pampering session — facial, scrub, wrap or massage — in surroundings that feel more considered than purely functional, though those chasing the single best massage of their trip may want to temper expectations slightly.

Bars 354 m 4 min walk 4.5/5 on Google

Charms Cambodia is 354 m south-east of The Jungle, Siem Reap — about 4 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “bars”.

The next two places under “bars” from The Jungle, Siem Reap are Ambar Cocktails & Karaoke Bar (489 m) and ASANA OLD WOODEN HOUSE Cocktail Bar (523 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Charms Cambodia is a bar on Steung Thmei in central Siem Reap, positioned near the main pub district. The space is described as roomy and includes pool tables. It operates from 5 PM to 2 AM daily. The bar employs a predominantly female staff, which shapes the nature of the venue and the experience visitors report.

Visitors consistently praise the friendly service and affordable drinks. The atmosphere and music receive positive mentions. Guests note the bar's proximity to Pub Street makes it accessible for an evening out. However, opinions divide on the primary draw: some appreciate the social aspect with staff, while others find the focus on staff interaction as the main attraction either appealing or intrusive depending on what they seek from a night out. A handful of visitors express frustration with the 2 AM closing time, noting that competing venues nearby stay open later and still draw customers at that hour.

The bar suits those looking for a casual evening with pool games and drinks in the company of a young, friendly team. It's best visited after 5 PM, any night of the week. Expectations should be calibrated to the bar's model as a staff-interaction venue rather than a quiet spot for conversation or a music-focused club. The early closing time is worth noting if you plan a later night.

X-Bar

Nightlife 437 m 5 min walk 4.2/5 on Google

X-Bar is 437 m east of The Jungle, Siem Reap — about 5 minutes on foot.

X-Bar is a rooftop bar on the corner of Sivath Boulevard and Sok San Road, positioned just outside the main Pub Street strip in Siem Reap. The space has multiple levels and games—pool tables, foosball, air hockey, shuffleboard, and beer pong—along with a notable half-pipe skate ramp on the top level. It opens from 5 PM until 4 AM daily, with a rooftop layout offering views of Pub Street and the surrounding area.

Visitors consistently praise the atmosphere once it fills up after 10 PM, describing it as lively and energetic with a good mix of locals and tourists. DJs and occasional live music are regular features. Drinks are reasonably priced, with canned beers around 1.50 dollars and bottles at 1.75 dollars. Some guests mention a fire show as an occasional attraction. However, experiences vary noticeably: while most visitors enjoy the venue, particularly late into the evening, a few report disappointingly slow service and disengaged staff during quieter periods. The rooftop can be quite subdued in early evening hours with sparse crowds. One visitor noted the bartender appeared uninterested, contrasting sharply with other accounts of friendly staff. The quieter periods mean the music level is manageable compared to other nearby bars, which appeals to those wanting conversation.

X-Bar works best for late-night visits after 10 PM or especially after 1 AM when other bars close and crowds migrate here. It suits visitors seeking games, dancing, and a mixed social scene rather than a focused nightclub experience. Expect it to be calmer in early evening if you arrive before 9 PM, and best visited with a group given the games and social setup. The location just off Pub Street helps it maintain a slightly less touristy edge than venues directly on the main strip.

The Living Arts Village by Artisans Angkor is 442 m south-east of The Jungle, Siem Reap — about 6 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sights”.

The next two places under “sights” from The Jungle, Siem Reap are Pub Street (553 m) and Old Market Bridge (730 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

The Living Arts Village by Artisans Angkor is a working craft center in Siem Reap where visitors can watch artisans create traditional Cambodian pieces. The space is organized into workshops for stone carving, wood carving, metal work, silk weaving, and painting. You can walk through these areas during production and observe the techniques firsthand. Many visitors mention a hands-on station where you can try stone carving yourself. After the workshop tour, there is a large gift shop selling finished pieces made on-site.

Visitors consistently praise the welcoming atmosphere and the skill of the artisans, who are generally happy to explain their work and allow photography. The open workshop layout means you see the actual creative process rather than a staged demonstration. Most people report the experience takes around 45 minutes. A common note is that prices are higher than in other souvenir shops, though visitors accept this because the pieces are made directly by the artisans and the center can arrange worldwide shipping. Entry is free, though you are expected to visit the shop.

The site is open daily from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. It works well if you want to understand how Cambodian crafts are actually made and buy directly from makers rather than through middlemen. Go in off-peak season if you prefer a quieter, more personalized experience, or expect busier periods during high tourist season.

The Secret Eden Spa is 443 m south-west of The Jungle, Siem Reap — about 6 minutes on foot.

The next two places under “spa & wellness” from The Jungle, Siem Reap are The Spa Siem Reap (252 m) and Relax Spa (590 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

The Secret Eden Spa sits on Sok San Road in central Siem Reap, offering massage and body treatments in a setting visitors describe as peaceful and quietly designed. The spa provides shuttle pickup and drop-off to and from hotels, and treatment rooms are separate, clean spaces with private facilities. Visitors consistently mention the calm atmosphere and the quality of the massage work itself as reasons to return.

Guests praise the skill of the therapists and the accuracy of deep tissue work, with several noting they have had better massages here than elsewhere. The reasonable pricing relative to the quality of treatment comes up repeatedly. Staff are described as warm and welcoming—the reception area greets visitors with iced tea and a cold face cloth. Communication through WhatsApp for same-day bookings is reportedly fast. No significant complaints appear in visitor feedback; the main point of consistent recommendation is the combination of professional technique, peaceful setting, and value.

The spa opens daily from 9:30 AM to 10:00 PM (closed Sundays). It suits anyone in Siem Reap wanting a massage or body scrub without the hassle of arranging transport, and works well for repeat treatments during a stay. Booking through their WhatsApp number appears to be the practical approach, particularly if you want same-day availability. The location on a quieter lane means you can step away from central Siem Reap's busier streets.

Cinema 488 m 6 min walk 4.2/5 on Google

Sabay Cinema Siem Reap is 488 m south-east of The Jungle, Siem Reap — about 6 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “cinema”.

The other place under “cinema” within reach of The Jungle, Siem Reap is Legend Cinemas Siem Reap (1.2 km).

Sabay Cinema Siem Reap is a multiplex cinema located on Sivutha Road in central Siem Reap, operating daily from 9 AM to 11:30 PM. The venue offers multiple screens showing a mix of international films, mostly in 3D format, alongside 2D options. The ground floor has a snack bar serving popcorn and basic refreshments. Screens are equipped with air conditioning and working sound systems, with seating that includes adjustable armrests.

Visitors consistently praise the comfortable seating, clear audio, and reasonable ticket prices, typically around $2.50 to $3 per ticket. The air-conditioned environment is noted as a welcome relief in the tropical heat. However, guests mention several recurring issues: the men's toilets frequently malfunction, the snack selection is limited to popcorn and microwaved items with few alternatives, and while screen quality is adequate for enjoying films, it is not considered premium. Some visitors also report that most American releases are shown in 3D rather than 2D. The bakery that once operated here is no longer available. One visitor mentioned dark stairs inside the theater, though another dispute this observation.

This cinema suits visitors looking for an affordable movie experience during their stay in Siem Reap, particularly those seeking air-conditioned refuge during midday heat. It works best for flexible moviegoers who are not particular about snack options or cutting-edge screen technology. Arrive early if you have specific preferences for 2D showings, as 3D films dominate the schedule. Ticket prices make it accessible for casual viewing, but plan bathroom needs carefully given the reported maintenance issues with male facilities.

The next two places under “bars” from The Jungle, Siem Reap are Charms Cambodia (354 m) and ASANA OLD WOODEN HOUSE Cocktail Bar (523 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Ambar Cocktails & Karaoke Bar is a two-in-one venue in Siem Reap's Alley W where you can order cocktails and move between drinking and karaoke in the same space. The bar operates nightly from 6 PM until 3 AM. It draws a mixed crowd of locals, remote workers, and tourists, with a casual atmosphere that regulars describe as down to earth.

Visitors consistently praise the cocktails and the friendliness of staff and owner. The owner, who is from Colombia, is noted for mingling with guests and occasionally buying rounds for the bar. Guests mention reasonable prices compared to nearby venues, and several visitors returned multiple times during their stays in Siem Reap. One visitor noted the karaoke equipment could use an upgrade—specifically stronger vocal microphones and additional speakers—though this did not dominate their overall positive experience.

Come in the evening or late night if you want a sociable atmosphere; the bar is busiest after work hours and into the early morning. The karaoke facilities are available but not state-of-the-art, so manage expectations if you're seeking polished karaoke-bar production. It suits anyone looking for cocktails in a relaxed setting without pretension, and particularly appeals to people staying longer in Siem Reap who want a regular spot.
