Lovely and Cozy hotel! The room is designed unique style for us, but no problem with functions and facilities. As you see some comments, the staff always welcomed when we got back to the hotel, and gave us cups of cold tea and towels. It made us relaxed and cooled down. Also, we recommend you to have breakfast. With many options, we looked forward to it every morning. The staff were very friendly so our stay was very confortable and memorable.

Had an amazing stay, sincerely wished we could have stayed longer. Boutique-style hotel. The service was outstanding from everyone we met. Enjoyed the breakfast and lunch (didn’t try dinner). The pool was clean and the communal area was great. Me and my husband had a massage, it was fantastic. Wish we could stay longer.

Before our arrival in Feb 2026, I contacted the hotel team directly and General Manager Thea Luon went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. The room was beautifully decorated as a surprise for my friend and every little detail was thoughtful and elegant. Seeing her reaction made the whole experience even more meaningful. Afterwards, we enjoyed an incredible massage treatment, which was the perfect finishing touch to such a relaxing and luxurious stay. Everything felt seamless, personal and genuinely caring. A huge thank you to Thea and the entire team for creating such wonderful memories for us. The level of hospitality, attention to detail and kindness we received was exceptional. We felt truly welcomed and cared for from beginning to end. I’m beyond grateful and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special and unforgettable experience. We cannot wait to come back!

The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They looked after us throughout our stay, offered helpful recommendations, and even made arrangements on our behalf without being asked. We organized restaurant reservations, tuk-tuks, excursions, and more entirely through them. The hotel itself is a quiet, peaceful oasis—a perfect place to unwind and relax after a day out.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff very friendly, and were extremely attentive but without invading our privacy. The restaurant had a great selection of delicious food and drink at excellent prices. The spa treatments that we had were so relaxing. The location was great - a short distance away from the main tourist hub, which we enjoyed as it was more peaceful. But the staff would help arrange a tuk tuk to take us wherever we wanted to go (and then return) and it only would cost a couple of dollars. Great value - We wish we could have stayed longer.

Brother Bong Cafe

Cafés & bakeries 378 m 5 min walk 4.8/5 on Google

Brother Bong Cafe is 378 m north-west of The Bliss Angkor — about 5 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “cafés & bakeries”.

The next two places under “cafés & bakeries” from The Bliss Angkor are Dialogue (737 m) and The muffin man, Siem Reap (824 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Brother Bong Cafe sits on Street 20 in Siem Reap, open daily from early morning to late afternoon. It functions as a proper breakfast and lunch stop rather than a quick coffee counter, with a menu that stretches from English breakfast plates and smashed avocado to Khmer dishes, sandwiches and baguettes, alongside its coffee program, which has roots in an earlier Phnom Penh location.

Reviews are largely enthusiastic, with repeat visitors mentioning the coffee, particularly iced lattes, and the generous, well-made baguettes and breakfast plates as standouts. Vegetarian options and friendly, attentive staff come up often, and some travellers say they returned daily during longer stays. A few notes of caution surface too: one visitor found the sausage in a dish more like a street-style meatball than expected, and another flags that credit cards are not accepted, something staff did not volunteer in advance.

Go for breakfast or lunch rather than a late-day visit, since it closes in the afternoon, and expect it to be busy even on weekends, so a short wait for a table is possible. Bring cash to be safe, as card payments have not always been accepted. It suits travellers wanting a relaxed, well-designed café setting with a broad menu covering both Western breakfast staples and Khmer food, and it has drawn a loyal following among those coming back multiple times during a Siem Reap stay.

Restaurants 520 m 7 min walk 4.9/5 on Google

Mealea Watbo is 520 m south of The Bliss Angkor — about 7 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from The Bliss Angkor are HAVEN (951 m) and Mesa - Restaurant (1.1 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Mealea Watbo is a Cambodian restaurant on Street 26 in Siem Reap, open daily from 11 in the morning until 11 at night. The setting combines traditional and modern decoration, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and guests mention a view that adds to the experience. The menu runs through Khmer staples such as fish, chicken and soup dishes, finished with desserts like coconut ice cream served with rice jelly and watermelon.

Visitors describe the food as flavourful and well presented, with several first-time tasters of Cambodian cuisine saying they were won over from the first bite. Value for money comes up often, with more than one reviewer calling it the best they have found in Siem Reap. Staff attentiveness is a recurring theme, and one server, Kakada, is repeatedly singled out by name for her warmth, clear English and thoughtful recommendations, including relocating diners indoors when insects became a nuisance during an outdoor meal. The lone practical note is a request to remove bones from the fish soup, a small detail rather than a wider complaint.

Given the long daily hours, it suits both a casual solo dinner and a small business gathering, as one guest describes using it for a work dinner. It works equally well for travellers wanting an introduction to Khmer food and for those who already know it and want a reliable, well-run spot. With close to 1,300 reviews and a rating that sits at 4.9, it draws a steady crowd, so arriving during peak dinner hours may mean a short wait, though nothing in the reviews suggests reservations are essential. Outdoor seating is worth requesting for the view, provided you don't mind the occasional insect that comes with dining near greenery in the evening.

Parks & nature 652 m 8 min walk 4.8/5 on Google

Kulen Elephant Forest is 652 m south-west of The Bliss Angkor — about 8 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “parks & nature”.

The next two places under “parks & nature” from The Bliss Angkor are Royal Independence Gardens (817 m) and Flying Foxes (893 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Kulen Elephant Forest is an elephant retirement sanctuary set within a forested park outside Siem Reap, where a small number of elephants live out their later years in a natural setting rather than performing or giving rides. Visitors join a guided tour through the forest, observing and, in many cases, getting close to the elephants as they roam, bathe or feed, with mahouts and staff on hand to explain each animal's background. Lunch is included as part of the day, and transport to and from the centre is arranged for guests.

Reviews are strikingly consistent: guests repeatedly praise the guides by name, describing them as knowledgeable, funny and clearly attached to the elephants, and several mention that the mahouts treat the animals like family. The focus on retirement and rehabilitation rather than entertainment comes up often, as does the sense that the operation supports both the elephants' welfare and the local community. The pacing of the tour is mentioned favourably, with breaks built in, and food is called a highlight rather than an afterthought. The one practical caveat raised is accessibility: the terrain is not well suited to wheelchairs.

The park opens daily from 8am to 6pm, and given the nature of the visit — walking through forest terrain to spend time near the elephants — it works best for travellers who are reasonably mobile and interested in conservation rather than a quick photo stop. Families with older children and couples looking for a slower, more reflective wildlife encounter seem well suited to it, and booking a guided tour rather than turning up independently appears to be the standard way to visit.

Museums & galleries 658 m 8 min walk 5.0/5 on Google

The River Gallery is 658 m north-west of The Bliss Angkor — about 8 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “museums & galleries”.

The next two places under “museums & galleries” from The Bliss Angkor are The Cocoon House - Art Gallery, Concept Store, Fashion Vintage and Skate Shop - by Cocoon Limited (2.4 km) and SM Art Center (2.6 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

A small gallery in Siem Reap showing paintings by Cambodian artists, ranging from established names to those exhibiting for the first time. Visitors describe it as compact rather than sprawling, with original pieces and prints available across a range of price points, giving the space a working-gallery feel rather than a museum-style display. Part of the appeal is the story behind the art itself, with several works reflecting the artists' own perspectives on Cambodia's past.

Guests consistently mention the quality and atmosphere as standing apart from the artwork sold around the night market and Pub Street area, calling it a more serious stop for anyone actually interested in buying local art. The staff come up often and favourably, with one visitor naming a guide, Julia, whose explanations of individual paintings were described as bringing the work to life. Reviewers also note that a portion of sales revenue goes toward supporting art education for students, which several found meaningful rather than incidental to the visit. No real complaints or caveats surface in the reviews, though its small size is mentioned as a fact rather than a flaw.

The gallery is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. It suits travellers with an interest in contemporary Cambodian art, whether browsing or looking to buy an original piece or print, and works well as a quieter counterpoint to the temple circuit. Given the small footprint, a visit tends to be short, but those keen on hearing about individual works should allow time to talk with staff rather than just walk through.

Cafés & bakeries 737 m 9 min walk 4.7/5 on Google

Dialogue is 737 m south-west of The Bliss Angkor — about 9 minutes on foot. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “cafés & bakeries”.

The next two places under “cafés & bakeries” from The Bliss Angkor are Brother Bong Cafe (378 m) and The muffin man, Siem Reap (824 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Dialogue is a cafe on Street 27 in Siem Reap with both indoor and rooftop seating. The menu mixes western and Asian cuisines, anchored by a strong coffee program. Visitors report the espresso and lattes are among the best in town. The kitchen turns out standout dishes like fried rice and tenderloins, though some guests found other items unremarkable. Breakfast options include variations on eggs — one visitor had English muffin with poached eggs, hollandaise and bacon — though the cafe does not offer a full traditional English breakfast.

Staff are consistently praised as helpful and friendly, though there is a notable caveat. One guest mentioned that despite requesting it multiple times, their dishes arrived with bean sprouts despite a stated allergy, which raised concern for anyone with dietary restrictions or allergies. The kitchen's attention to special requests appears inconsistent. On the upside, visitors note the carbonara is rich and satisfying if you enjoy heavy sauces, though it may not suit lighter preferences.

The rooftop setting is described as chill and atmospheric, with indoor seating available too. Dialogue opens daily at 7 AM and stays open until midnight (closed Sundays), making it accessible for breakfast, coffee breaks, lunch or evening visits. Happy hour pricing makes it affordable. The location sits walking distance from Pub Street, though the daytime frontage can be hard to spot from the street — it sits on the corner of Street 26 and Wat Bo Road. This works well for anyone after reliable coffee and a casual meal, though diners with food allergies should verify orders carefully with staff.

Royal Residence is 753 m north-west of The Bliss Angkor — about 9 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sights”.

The next two places under “sights” from The Bliss Angkor are Made in Cambodia Market (875 m) and Old Market Bridge (1.0 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

The Royal Residence is a garden complex in central Siem Reap featuring landscaped grounds, historic statues, and shrines. Visitors find it a functioning civic space where locals exercise in the mornings and evenings, and a place where Cambodian national events are gathered. The gardens sit near the river, with French colonial architecture visible along the waterfront.

Guests consistently praise the well-maintained grounds and peaceful atmosphere for walking. Many note it as an accessible escape in the heart of the city, where you can observe daily life and interact with locals. Reviewers mention the gardens have been recently renovated and are worth the visit regardless of your reason for being in Siem Reap. The ambiance and photo opportunities are frequently mentioned as appealing.

The gardens are easily reached on foot from hotels in the surrounding area—around a 3 to 4 kilometre walk is manageable. Early morning, between 9:30 and 10 am, is a good time to visit if you want to see locals exercising. Wear comfortable shoes for walking the grounds. It suits anyone looking for a quiet, local-oriented break from temple touring, and those wanting to photograph colonial riverside architecture and garden landscapes.

The next two places under “bars” from The Bliss Angkor are Barcode Bar Siem Reap (813 m) and ASANA OLD WOODEN HOUSE Cocktail Bar (1.1 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Laundry Bar is a casual bar on Street 26 in Siem Reap with pool tables, a counter serving craft beers and cocktails, and a simple food menu. The space has the feel of a neighbourhood drinking spot rather than a tourist venue, though it draws visitors from across the world. It opens from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily and is known particularly for Wednesday nights, when open-mic performances bring live music to the bar.

Visitors consistently praise the social atmosphere and the mix of people you can meet there—solo travellers often mention it as an easy place to strike up conversations with expats and locals. Pool games are a draw, and those who attend Wednesday's open-mic night tend to be enthusiastic about the music and talent on display. Reviewers highlight the craft beer selection and cocktail quality. One note: some visitors report limited drink variety and have found the venue's responsiveness to orders inconsistent on quieter nights. Non-drinkers may find the mocktail selection thin.

The bar suits anyone looking for a low-key evening with other travellers and a chance to play pool or listen to live music. Wednesday is the night to go if you want a fuller room and live performances. Arrive after 4 p.m. It works best if you're prepared to order drinks readily and engage with the crowd; it is less ideal if you prefer a quieter table experience or need a wide range of non-alcoholic options.

Barcode Bar is a drag show venue in Siem Reap's Mondul 1 Village that runs performances nightly from 9 pm. The bar seats guests for a three-hour show featuring performers in elaborate costumes. Visitors describe a casual, welcoming space with air conditioning and a mix of seating, from main tables to spots available on busier nights. The atmosphere draws both tourists passing through and repeat visitors to the city.

Guests consistently praise the quality and energy of the performances, with multiple reviews highlighting the entertainers' costumes and engaging stage presence. The staff and performers are frequently mentioned as warm and approachable—several visitors note that performers remember guests from previous nights and interact with the crowd after acts. The three-hour show format draws praise for its sustained energy. Atmospherically, reviews describe the crowd as lively and welcoming, particularly later in the evening on weekends, though Sunday nights are reportedly quieter than Saturday. The bar stocks drinks that visitors describe as good, though specifics are not detailed in guest feedback.

The venue opens at 8 pm Tuesday through Sunday, with shows beginning at 9 pm and running until around midnight or later. It's closed Mondays. The location in Mondul 1 Village is accessible but not in central Siem Reap's main tourist strip.
