Booked direct via email and great communication. Excellent location close to good food etc in heart of Phnom Penh. Very close to Langka Lane home of great eats and 240 street. Also good AEON mart a few metres from entrance to grab items. Check in great and really lovely staff. We booked an upstairs room which is large and with great bathroom. Bed super comfy and great pillows and excellent quality bedlinen and towels. Room extremely clean and well maintained. For money this is a great place. Lovely leafy courtyard with bar and food available and great pool. Food and drinks great value and great quality .Lots of greenery around which makes it an oasis in the city. I would dare say this building was built in mid 60’s and is truly retro in feel which gives you a sense of the beautiful architectural style of Phnom Penh. We are staying two nights and this will become our place to stay when in Phnom Penh. I am fascinated when I read reviews that are not favourable on a hotel in this price range. I think sometimes guests who rate this hotel unfavourably may have forgotten they have not paid 100 US dollars a night:)))). Considering the reasonable rates for this place we feel truly blessed to have stumbled on this place . Truly enjoyable experience and would recommend as a place to consider booking into.

I didn't come here to stay, I was here to eat, swim and play some pool. The food was really good, seatings are great, atmosphere is loud and not as peaceful as it seemed. The swimming pool was dirty and filthy, they could at least clean it more because it was just too dirty to swim in. The pool table can be a bit better, I understand it's a boutique not a pool club but the position of the pool table makes it nearly impossible to play. It's like adding it for no reason or adding it for aesthetics. Pretty much the only good things were the staff, food and seatings.

I had the great pleasure of staying here a couple of months ago. The staff here are super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and respectful. The food from the restaurant is great and affordable and having a well maintained swimming pool onsite was a bonus! So loved my 2 weeks here...thank you Atis, Camera, Chai Ly and Ratanak (sorry for the spelling) for making my stay great and looking after me!

I booked a room at this hotel expecting a pleasant stay, but unfortunately, the room was nothing like the photos. The window is blocked by mosquito screens and there's no natural light. The room is also full of mosquitos. The bathroom is a wet room with the shower spraying directly onto the toilet - not what I was expecting! The room is also a far cry from the photographs on the website. The room has an intense glaring light which makes for an overbearing feel. The Expedia listing showed a shower enclosed in a glass unit, which was not the case. I've raised this with reception, but no resolution so far. Hoping for a speedy fix. Edit: after having read your response you claimed that nothing was conveyed to your staff which is simply not true. I spoke to one of the doubly functioning barmen/receptionists. I showed him the odd ‘window’, and also the bathroom which did not meet the photographic depictions on the respective website. The room had been left open extensively by staff without any attempt to rid the room of mosquitos. I also note that it is obvious that many of these reviews are false and have been created with the singular purpose of inflating their score both in Google and TripAdvisor.

We really enjoyed our stay here, it’s the perfect little safe haven in amongst the bustling city. After a day of exploring it was so nice to come back to the hotel and instantly feel relaxed with their lovely courtyard that’s full of plants and also a swimming pool to cool off in the heat. The room was modern and a really generous size and out of all of the places we looked at I would say this was by far the best value for money. The hotel is tucked down a sidestreet so noise from the city wasn’t a problem and we slept really well! Also the location is great to walk to the Palace and museum. The only thing I would say is that we stayed for 3 nights and our room wasn’t cleaned which wasn’t a problem but if we stayed any longer I would hope that we would have got a clean. Overall would definitely recommend and would also definitely visit again if I’m ever in Phnom Penh.

EE-cafe is 46.7 km west of The Birdcage Boutique — a short ride rather than a walk.

This countryside café in Kirirom offers coffee in a spacious, clean setting. Visitors find it a peaceful spot with functioning facilities, though it serves drinks rather than food. The atmosphere appeals to those seeking a quiet break in a rural location.

Guests consistently highlight the coffee quality and reasonable prices, along with the cleanliness of the space and toilets. Several mention the peacefulness of the setting. One visitor noted the limitation that food is not served here, only beverages, which is worth knowing if you plan a longer stop. The overall feedback suggests a straightforward, functional café rather than a destination venue.

The café suits travellers passing through Kirirom who want a coffee break without fanfare, or anyone seeking a calm spot away from busier areas. Go expecting coffee and a quiet atmosphere, not a meal or elaborate service. The rural location means it works best as a planned stop rather than a casual drop-in.
