We stayed at The Beach Resort Koh Rong from 12 July to 16 July, and it was an unforgettable experience.
The resort is located in a beautiful and peaceful setting with a stunning white sandy beach and crystal-clear water. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
What made our stay truly special was the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. Everyone was always smiling, helpful, and made us feel at home. Their hospitality was outstanding and exceeded our expectations.
The restaurant served delicious food with a great variety of local and international dishes. Every meal was fresh and beautifully presented.
We also appreciated the peaceful atmosphere of the resort. It was the perfect escape from everyday life and a wonderful place to unwind.
Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We highly recommend The Beach Resort Koh Rong to anyone looking for a relaxing beach holiday in Cambodia. We are already looking forward to come back again in November :-)
The rooms are clean and reasonably comfortable, although quite basic and without a TV. The beach is beautiful, and the complimentary stand-up paddle boards are a nice touch. Having scooter rentals available directly at the resort is also very convenient.
However, there are several downsides that should be considered before booking. The breakfast is very basic and lacks variety, with only simple filter coffee available. The resort is also quite isolated, with no supermarkets, cafés, or restaurants within walking distance. Unless you plan to stay at the resort the entire time, renting a scooter is almost essential. The dinner offered by the hotel is convenient but relatively expensive.
We stayed for five nights and felt that this was too long. After a few days, there was not much left to do nearby, and the remote location became a disadvantage rather than a benefit. Looking back, three to four nights would have been more than enough.
Overall, the resort is suitable for a short, relaxing beach stay, but it may not offer enough value or variety for a longer visit.
We spent six days at The Beach Resort, and they were simply perfect. Even before our arrival, Mr. Chumnit, the manager, was on hand to make everything easier for us, reserving a spot on the boat to get to the island and the necessary transportation to get to the hotel.
During our stay, the staff was excellent: young men and women with enthusiasm, kindness, and professionalism that always make you feel at home.
The resort is on Pagoda Beach: a sandy beach lined with palm trees, umbrellas, and sun loungers that is a haven of peace.
The resort's pool is fabulous, the breakfasts are hearty and varied, and the kitchen is working brilliantly. The menu is also very varied and the portions are generous.
Our room was spacious and comfortable, facing the sea, and extremely quiet. We felt like royalty.
Enjoying my stay so far at The Beach Resort in Koh Rong. A very special thank you to Chumnit, who has been genuinely kind, patient and extremely helpful. He kindly helped organise my transport at very short notice and also arranged a lovely room upgrade, which I truly appreciated. The room feels spacious, quiet and relaxing, with a lovely beach view, sunshine, white sand and coconut trees creating a very peaceful atmosphere.
One small area for improvement would be breakfast organisation. It starts at 7:30am, though sometimes not everything seems fully ready at opening time. I think with a little more preparation, the breakfast experience could be even better.
Overall, a lovely and relaxing stay so far, and I’m grateful for the kindness and help from the team, especially Chumnit.
We loved our time at The Beach Resort - the beach (Pagoda Beach) is like heaven on earth. We took the ferry direct from Sihanoukville and were immediately greeted by Vannesung who arranged for our bags to be delivered to our rooms. Vannesung was so helpful on check in when my friend and I decided to request separate rooms at zero notice - he found a way to make it work even though the hotel was almost fully booked. He was available to us throughout our stay and provided exceptional service, arranging taxis, boats and a transfer to Phnom Penh for us. All the other staff at the restaurant and bar were also so kind and helpful. Another bonus of staying at The Beach Resort (which we hadn’t realised in advance) is that you can use any of the 4 pools at neighbouring hotels. We loved our stay at The Beach Resort and in our opinion it’s the best value-to-quality option on that stretch. Highly recommend and hope to come back one day.
