Perfect 2 night stay in this hotel. Clean, affordable, and very friendly staff. To all travelers reviewing in Cambodia (or anywhere in SE Asia), please keep in mind local standards when giving ratings and try not to be overly harsh, as many people rely on your reviews . Be comprehensive, you're not in your home country.
It’s a slightly weird hotel but our room (#11) was spotlessly clean with AC and an incredibly comfortable king size bed. The bathroom was a bit quirky but there was a shower and hot water! There aren’t a lot of English speakers on staff but we managed fine and we highly recommend booking the boat/motorcycle/boat all day tour to the waterfall. The itinerary had good and bad surprises - lunch at the village was unexpectedly nice, but the bathroom situation there was not, on the trip back we unexpectedly had the opportunity to get out of the boat to explore the drowned forest which was really enjoyable. It was not super cheap but it was a full day (9 hours) and well worth the money
The guest house was clean with a comfortable, large bed. We had a hot shower and aircon in our room. The staff were pleasant, though they didn’t have much English, they booked our onward travel for us. The owner was very friendly and we rented a motorcycle here. There aren’t many places where you can do that in Strung Treng. There is a reasonable place to eat on a night just down the road on the right hand side. It has lots of plants outside. It is a good budget hotel.
Bad shower in the room with zero pressure, the bathroom tap had zero pressure, could wash my hands better in the rain, super hot rooms with air con inside but they switch it all off and sell as fan room. Never staying again. Only thing decent was the bed
We had a private room on the 4th floor. Our expectations were quite low (owing to other reviews), but we ended up having a pleasant stay.
We were quite open about the fact that some reviews were negative and so we would like to check for ourselves. Our request came over as strange, but they gave us an opportunity to inspect the room.
