Large local market. Sells everything from uncooked fresh seafood, meat. Clothing, electronics, footwear, gold. Has money changers , rate was better than in town.

That is the place where you get your entire supply for anything and everything. Whatever thing or stuff you are looking for whatsoever they sure got it for you at a decent price. The experience is super worth it and you might get the same thing in all supermarket in the city for the original price in there.

A huge collection of fruit, veg, all kinds of fresh meat. Let alone gold, clothing, kitchen items and food vendors. Note English is very limited

Very local morning market. I didn't see a single tourist. Lots of nice fruits. Worth the visit if you want to feel the real khmer culture in siem reap

This is probably the best local traditional market in town when it comes to variety and size. There really are a lot of options for shopping. There’s a vegetable market, fish and meat bread fresh made desserts, definitely real Khmer. There’s also jewelry, watches, fabrics, clothes, electronics, etc., and a lot of little surprises. One thing is nice. There’s not a lot of pressure you’re able just to walk through the market and freely shop, most vendors are willing to bargain there’s not as much English spoken as in old market, but there are people who will help you to make a purchase, and it’s definitely a experience.this market is not the mall, It is real Cambodia, but lots of wonderful vendors and great product products. If you come here, come with a sense of adventure and a willingness to bargain and hunt for the deals and have a great time.

Very positive surprise at Fair Trade Village. It’s a bit outside from the city center but on the way to the ticket office for the Angkor archaeological park. All products are handmade in Cambodia. They have a big array of different products. Particularly the collection of hand-woven cotton textiles is amazing, but also the collection of bronze statues and the bracelets and necklaces made from different materials (seeds, clay, brass and silver). They also have many special items such as traditional dancing masks, bamboo items, and paintings made by a traditional burning technique on palm leaves, which we saw only at the Fair Trade Village and nowhere else. They have also silk textiles, wood and sandstone carving, rattan items, ceramic and others products. The quality of the products is good and the prices are reasonable. I cannot understand the 5 stars review. This place is a big fake set up. Basically the "artisans" will start pretending to work on their craft the moment there is any visitor. Take the loom in front, the colored threads on the shelf are so dusty, you can bet that no one has touched it in recent years. Other things for sale are dusty and been there for a few years. The whole set up allows them to sell souvenirs sold at the old market for 3 times the price, or not. I can't be sure m the things are too dusty to wanna touch!

Great place for purchasing local handicrafts. We like the very friendly staff members. You can walk around without being pressured into buying. Very good variety of choices and good quality. We particularly like the extensive collection of hand-woven Kromas and other textiles.

High street like shopping for souvenirs - high-ended craftsmanship. Wares here range from pottery, paintings, jewellery, cotton, leather, stone, metal. Limited wood carvings. Interesting take-away coffee next door whilst you shop.

Tourist trap. It has great reviews because the locals make it out to be a great place to buy. Its underwhelming and very bare. I wouldn't waste your time. Prices are high and no one seems to be working. I think there are better places.

Very tasty food! The English breakfast was excellent, and the sausages were especially delicious. We also tried some Khmer dishes and really enjoyed them. The only downside was that credit card payments were not accepted, and the staff did not inform us about this in advance. It would have been helpful to know beforehand. Overall, a great place with tasty food, but better bring cash just in case.

I ordered the smashed avocado with added sausage, but unfortunately, the sausage was not what I expected. The texture and taste were quite different from a typical sausage it was more like a street style meatball rather than a proper sausage. It didn’t match the dish and I personally didn’t enjoy it. I hope the restaurant can improve the quality or consider using a different type of sausage in the future.

I have only amazing things to say about this place, we stayed in Siem Reap for over two weeks and came here daily! The staff were so kind and amazing, and the food was always perfect! Plenty of vegetarian options as well! We often think about this place as one of the best restaurants while travelling southeast asia!

We have walked past this cafe for the last 2 weeks coming to & from our accommodation and only today did we decide to give it a try for lunch!! We were so surprised how busy it was on a Sunday, and luckily they found us a table straight away. The iced lattes were amazing! I had been craving a Subway sandwich for a few days, and chose the chicken & salad baguette to sooth that craving. The baguette was beautifully warm and crispy. The chicken was perfectly cooked and finished off with fresh lettuce, tomato, cucumber and mayo. The baguette was so big, I couldn’t finish it. It certainly hit the spot. Hubby had the vegan breakfast baguette with mushrooms, a hash brown & baked beans. Again, he thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff are so lovely & friendly, we will definitely be back.

I know their coffee from Phnom Penh - and it's one of the best on Cambodia. The location in Siem Reap is very nicely designed and you enjoy your time there. Good menu selection and everything was really tasty. In my top ,5 coffee shops in Siem Reap.

If you are in Siem Reap, the Preah Ang Chek Preah Ang Chorm shrine located right inside the Royal Independence Garden is a must-visit. The whole place is super majestic and packed with local culture. It’s totally syok for a peaceful stroll to just soak in the spiritual energy. Plus, looking up at the giant trees filled with huge fruit bats hanging around is a seriously wild experience! Definitely drop by to take in the beautiful scenery and maybe pray for some ong (good luck)!

Visited the Royal Independence Garden. Clean, vibrant, and full of life. It offers a beautiful atmosphere with impressive historical statues that add cultural depth to the experience.

As mentioned before this was a Stop off during our Tuk Tuk ride around the Sites . Our guide was excellent & telling us all about the City . Popping down little Streets that you would normally have missed. Excellent, would be fun during the Night with the Lights on next time

These gardens are charming and clean, but they aren’t really that special. However, what sets them apart are the hundreds of flying foxes hanging in the trees right next to them.

The place is wonderful! Has a lot of beautiful paintings and the vide here is very cozy and makes me comfortable☺️ Should definitely visit again

The river gallery is truly beautiful. It’s tiny, but it feels very meaningful to see what it represents for Cambodian artists, especially their past. The vision and perspective of the artists feel very unique, and you can sense their presence through the colors and images they chose to represent.

Riverside Gallery not only showcases the works of talented Cambodian artists, but also dedicates half of its art sales revenue to supporting schools, fostering students' artistic education. In doing so, it helps sustain the continuous innovation of Cambodian art while preserving the nation's cultural heritage. There could hardly be a more meaningful endeavor. My deepest respect goes to the gallery's founder, and special thanks to the graceful and perceptive Julia for her patient and insightful introduction —her vibrant presence seemed to bring every painting to life.

This gallery is truly beautiful, and should be THE place to visit if you are looking to purchase local art. Very different quality of work from the night market / pub street area. Original pieces and prints of all price ranges, from well-established Cambodian artists to artists showcasing their pieces for the first time.

If you find yourself in Siem Reap, the Royal Independence Gardens are a must-visit. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and feature numerous historic statues and shrines. It offers a wonderful atmosphere for a stroll, and you'll often see locals gathered here in the mornings and evenings for exercise. It is a peaceful, refreshing escape in the heart of the city.

Excellent place to take in the sights and sound of the cambodian royal place. A Must See. Do not forget to walk across the place garden, a place where you will find gatherings of cambodian who frequent national events. Cool walk from 3-4 km away at 930am to 10am from the many hotels in the surrounding vicinity. Enjoy the river and many french architecture along the river.

In the middle of April 2022, Royal residence garden has completely renovated. Highly recommended to local or foreign visitors should not skip this place when you set your plan to visit siem reap on any occasion!

Amazing! You should definitly go and see them. We went a couple of times, during the day and at night. Both is amazing. The colony is in the middle of the town, but they dont seem bothered by noise or even music. A must see in Siem Reap.

I was enraptured. The Flying Foxes are the size of small cats with impressive wings. They are most active at sunrise and sunset, but they are interesting throughout the day. I was struck by the people playing badminton in the park oblivious to the bats and the bats apparently equally nonplussed by all the human activity. Super awesome free experience and especially at sunrise when the temperature is cool and the streets are alive with people doing their morning exercises. I visited 3 times so far on my stay.

It was amazing. They don't all fly off in a massive group but to see these amazing giant animals is worth it, grab a couple beers and sit in awe

Review is for the area and not specific flying foxes. we came here for a leisurely stroll and then walk to river front. but stuck in heavy rain which did not lessen even after 30min. finally booked a grab tuktuk and reached the hotel slightly wet. fun fact: tuktuk and remork-auto are 2 different common modes of transportation in SiemReap. Picture taken of tuktuk (3 wheel) from remork-auto (remork is the cart where 4 people can sit and pulled by motor bike, hence the name)

MUST see for fans of viewing wildlife in its (natural habitat?) i mean what a strange place to find a bat colony. In case you are unaware, there is a temple which the vendors are there for, and drumming can be heard almost constantly. the whole area seems to be a very loud concert venue, And the parking lot across the street has loud live plays, and it doesn't bother the bats at all (as far as we know). They keep coming back, night after night, year after year. it's very difficult to get photos of them flying because they fly so erratically, so video is called for. you are able to take still shots of them roosting, with no problem. In case you are wondering, the bats don't necessarily fly off together in a big group, they just seem to randomly fly off, some during the day and some at nightfall, not necessarily in a big show.

The food at Mealea Watbo is unbelievably delicious and beautifully presented. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, and from the taste alone, you can tell it was made with love. The service by Kakada truly warmed my heart. Such a lovely young lady who genuinely cares for her customers and gives wonderful recommendations with so much sincerity and kindness. I’m so glad I chose to visit this restaurant on my last day in Siem Reap. They say you should save the best for last… and this was exactly that. :)

The food and the view are so amazing to me. It’s my 1st time eating Cambodian food and from the 1st bite, I was shocked because it was too delicious. All the food are good with best value price ever. I just want to suggest that they should remove fish bones in the fish soup. I was lucky to meet staff Kakada. She’s very attentive and her English is super well. So the whole eating process is very smooth and easy. Thank you very much! Best value restaurant I’ve ever visited.

I’ve been there for the business dinner for the first time and it was enjoyable. The decoration is beautiful with the combination of traditional and modern. The food was great. Should come and taste if you are in Siem Reap.

Everything about our dinner experience was fantastic! The service/staff were all so friendly with recommendations and took great care of us! Kakada Especially provided excellent service and even moved us to an indoor room when the flies came after our dinner. Highly highly recommend a visit to this restaurant while you’re in Siem Reap!

The food was absolutely amazing! We had fish, chicken, and a soup. We also got free dessert which was this amazing coconut ice cream with rice jelly and watermelon. Highly suggest it if coming to Siem Reap!
