This hotel is nostalgic since we used to stay there many years ago before Phnom Penh had a lot of hotel choices. It had evolved from a backpacker flophouse into a more proper hotel, but it is definitely in need of massive renovations. It is a bit grungy and rustic. It is clean, but nothing looks clean if that makes sense. Lots of mosquitos in the room and common areas because of decorative plants with standing water. Room was super bright in the morning and very loud. Dogs barking all night and early morning. Pool is clean and pretty spacious, nice views from the rooftop. Spa seemed closed but I think you book ahead, prices were insane for Southeast Asia. Location is decent and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. I think my days of staying in these rustic old hotels are behind me though.
I just had a realy good stay here, wanted to say that the rooms are excellent, staff is friendly and the location is also quite nice and located central in the city. On the other hand the breakfast was good quality but it could have contained more western options. Overall you should absolutely stay here in Phnom penh!
I've stayed here many times which says it all. The rooms are very Cambodian although by western standards a little dated. The rooftop bar is excellent however they should raise the children's pool surround to stop people slipping on the wet floor. The breakfast is pretty good, again considering this is Cambodia. I've saved the best to last and that's the price which there's no complaint, just remember you get what you pay for. Recently we left some money in the safe, the manager (Mr Huo Pov) was very professional in making sure we had it returned.
You will be stunned with the design of the Lobby. It's like a mini museum in itself. The blend of Khmer culture, Hindu and Buddhist religion have been perfectly catered in the lobby. The rooftop is breathtaking. Saves you time from heading to fancy rooftop bars. Hotel facilities were amazing. Truly recommend them for your further stays in Phnom Penh.
Great location that is just a short stroll to the Riverside and Royal Palace. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious and well laid out. The buffet breakfast was great with a good selection of hot and cold dishes. I will definitely stay again the next time I am in Phnom Penh.
