The hotel sits on Street 148 in the Phsar Kandal area of Phnom Penh, close to the Mekong River promenade. This riverside stretch is described as one of the most vibrant parts of the city, with a market, shops, laundromats, cafes, bars and restaurants within a short walk. Guests note a market runs along the river just a minute's walk away on weekends, and the main road with cafes and bars is about 50 metres from the hotel.

The hotel operates 24 hours a day and is noted as LGBTQ+ friendly. Breakfast is included free of charge. A two-night stay has been reported at around $32 per night, though guests should confirm current rates when booking. Some guests noted ongoing construction near the hotel that can cause early-morning noise.
Very nice hotel, very close to the promenade along the Mekong River. Very friendly staff the check-in and checkout went very smooth. The rooms are very nice and spacious, equipped with everything the normal traveller need. Very good breakfast is served. In the ground floor is located where large swimming pool, on the roof two another Jacuzzis with a spectacular view all over the city. My only comment is about the cleanliness of the rooftop area, the management should care more about the whole place..
I stayed at Ohana Phnom Penh Palace Hotel and found it to be a decent mid-range option in a very convenient location near the riverside. The rooms were spacious and comfortable for a short stay, and the rooftop pool and jacuzzi were a nice bonus after a day of sightseeing. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the experience pleasant overall.
However, the hotel does feel a bit dated and some maintenance could improve the overall quality. Breakfast was average, and there can be a bit of street noise at times due to the central location. Overall, it’s a good value choice for a short stay in Phnom Penh if location matters more than luxury. 👍🏨🌆
One suggestion would be to provide two room key cards instead of just one, as the elevators do not operate without the card, which can be inconvenient when two guests need to move independently.
Additionally, during checkout I was wrongly charged for consuming Coke and Sprite cans from the minibar, which I did not use, as I do not consume soft drinks. It would be helpful if the hotel verifies minibar usage more carefully before billing guests.
Overall it's a nice comfy hotel, the staff was friendly and welcoming, no welcome drink or water on the day we arrived but that's not a big deal. The rooms are large, very good aircon and working television. They provide two waters, tea and coffee and the they have additional items for purchase at a very reasonable price. The pool area and staff are great. The morning breakfast was nice though it would be nice to have a sign on the glass to indicate they have an egg station, offering omelets, eggs fried or scrambled. If I hadn't heard someone say something I would not have noticed. They do need more meat options in my opinion, especially for people not eating carbs. Often the water fountains ran out, as did some items and they were not refilled quickly. They also need to clear tables a bit faster. They operate a restaurant and have a happy hour daily. The menu price was very reasonable for a hotel. The location is great though the wet market 1/2 block from the hotel can be much for the faint of heart, however you can take a different route to get to restaurant, shops etc. Overall it's a good place, if the owner would take more care of the property, updates and repairs, and deep clean I would have given it 5 stars. If and when we return to Phnom Penh it would be a great choice.
★★☆☆☆
We stayed at Ohana Phnom Penh Palace Hotel for 3 nights and unfortunately we were very disappointed with our stay.
When we checked in, there were two of us and we asked for two room swipe cards, but we were only given one and told they did not have another card available. The shower drain in our room was blocked, so every time we had a shower the bathroom floor flooded. The sink drain was also blocked.
There was construction happening directly in front of the hotel, and it started very early in the morning around 5:15am, which made it difficult to sleep. The breakfast was also disappointing. The area felt poorly organised, with limited seating unless you wanted to sit outside in the sun.
The towels provided in the room were old, stiff and frayed around the edges. Overall, we really did not enjoy our stay here. In my opinion, this does not feel like a 4-star hotel as advertised.
Excellent hotel. Great location. But there is a big market at the end of the street, shops and laundromats and taxis and restaurants and some construction next door. So it's not a quite country spa. Staff were excellent. Cleaning was 100% Step in shower, not shower/ bath, so it's much safer. A pool you could actually swim in. All the usual things like gym, ATM, air conditioning, safety box. A roof top bar and restaurant with amazing views. Breakfast was good. You're 50 metres from the main road and all the cafes and bars. There's a massive market along the river 1 minute walk on Saturday and Sunday night. A nice balcony. I'd definitely stay here again. Several historical sites are walking distance.
