Not only were the rooms were super clean but the whole building was spotless. They have super hot water and great beds. The ladies and the day staff was super nice. The day staff spoke English was professional and courteous his name was Deeni. The night staff however became disrespectful and creepy after I came in a few nights late. Doesn't make it any better you have to ask for your key every arrival . Solo females be careful.

Great staff!! Super friendly and kind! Loved my stay here. + Amazing beds + Good shower + Aircon + Quiet, on the top floor. No outside noise + Late check in for flights + Safe locked gate at night + Very clean + Spacious + Perfect facilities, wardrobe, desk, fridge and kettle. Tissues and free water too. They provide towels, soup, toothbrushes, combs!! Could use a fan in the room to help with mosquitoes. + Baggage storage and affordable laundry. + Walking distance to banks and money exhange. - Could use airfreshers in the bathroom, the smell of the drains became quite intense after day 3 here. - No elevator. Not accessible for wheelchair users or limited mobility. A lot of stairs to reach top floor. - Could use fabric at the bottom of the chairs as they are heavy and can be heard through walls when dragged across the floor. These are all minor improvements. Everything was really great!

I know, I know reviews are subjective, and I know too, to ignore reviews over a year old. But... I am currently staying here (as of late November 2025) and my room (3rd floor, #22) is phenomenal value. This place is amazing and I acknowledge I can be a picky sod when it comes to hotels. First off, I arrived from Vientiane where I had horrible over priced hotels and Bookingdotcom was a fraud. So I arrived here fully expecting the same and fully expecting to walk out in search of yet another hotel upon disappointed arrival. I could not have been more surprised and more happy to find what I found. This hotel is an old building but is beautifully maintained and has immense character and charm; they are currently repainting rooms as customers leave and replacing mattresses too. It is SPOTLESS and has great feng shui too, a really positive energy. It's a period building so of course there's no lift, if you want a hotel with a lift, why are you booking here? I booked a twin room with a fan and it's fantastic, so clean and spacious, I love it. An added bonus is that both mattresses are different; hard and soft! Amazing. The bathroom is typical SEAsian style, so the floor gets wet, but they kindly provide slippers and the floor from a late night shower is dry by morning because the exhaust fan works properly. The room is well appointed and has a nice big wardrobe, a fridge, and a table which doubles as a desk. Other plusses are that they have an excellent and very reasonable laun

Restaurants 85.6 km 4.0/5 on Google

Mahob Khhjom Restaurant is 85.6 km west of Nice Guest House — a short ride rather than a walk.

Mahob Khhjom Restaurant sits on National Route 44 in Takeo, offering Cambodian food in a casual setting. The restaurant operates from early morning through evening, opening at 6 AM most days and closing at 9 PM, which makes it accessible whether you're looking for breakfast or dinner.

Visitors consistently praise the food quality and value. Reviewers describe the dishes as tasty and delicious, and note that prices are affordable. The atmosphere draws repeated mention as friendly and pleasant, suggesting a welcoming environment for both solo diners and groups. With nine reviews and a solid rating, the place appears reliable for a straightforward meal, though the limited review volume means less detailed information about specific dishes or particular strengths compared to busier establishments.

The restaurant suits travellers passing through Takeo on Route 44 or those staying nearby who want a dependable local option without high prices. The long daily hours mean you're unlikely to find it closed, though it's worth confirming the Sunday closing time before planning a late meal at the end of the week. Go when you're genuinely hungry rather than looking for a dining destination, and expect genuine Cambodian food in an unpretentious space.
