Kep Village Guest House is a small, family-run guest house at 33A, ក្រុងកែប 220201, in Kep on Cambodia's southern coast. The owners are a French and Nepali family who live on site with their children, and the kitchen serves Nepali food to guests.
Rooms are simple and differ in size and outlook. The front rooms face the sea, and some have a private balcony with a hammock; the lower-priced rooms are smaller and have no sea view. Rooms come with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a private bathroom.
The sea is a short walk from the door, with a fishing dock close by, and the restaurant Kep Natural, which hosts live music, is nearby. Good to know
Rooms vary, so ask for one at the front if you want the sea view and a balcony; the cheaper rooms are smaller and face away from the water. Nepali meals are cooked and served on site by the owners' family.
An incredible find for the price, this is a very reasonable guest house literally minutes from the sea. We had a balcony with a hammock and a sea view. The owner is very friendly and helpful and the guesthouse mood is very relaxed and comfortable. We played with the owner's kids a bit as well.
The rooms were clean with solid WiFi and air conditioning and an adequate bathroom. The only thing holding me back from giving it five stars on the location is that it is a bit far from the beach (the sea near the hotel has a nice fishing dock).
Still, all in all, highly to be recommended.
Pro Tip: The owner once had a Nepali restaurant running in the guesthouse and indicated it may return again at some point. Currently only drinks are available
Very clean, simple and comfortable guest house with an amazing view of the ocean if you get the room at the front.
Great value for money and 2 minute walk from the beach and a good restaurant called Kep Natural which also hosts live music.
The French owner Vincent is very friendly and accommodating.
Great option for a great price.
Owner seemed very rude, judging everything we do or say with a cold tone. Very small bedrooms with no view on the sea if you have a small budget, *located far away from Kep beach* (40 minutes of walk). However, nice nepalese food. We booked for 11am, came to 12am to finally have our room 1h30 later. Unfortunately not a pleasant experience for us. Try to favor the business of Cambodian people during your trip (its french owned).
The accommodation quality was extremely poor. The beds had thick plastic beneath the bed sheets, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. Additionally, there was a foul smell emanating from the pipes, which was unpleasant. The owner was rude and aggressive. On the positive side, the owner's wife was lovely and kind
Very good location, quiete and facing the see. Owners are nice, a mix culture nepali family, where you can eat local nepali delicious food, served with warmth, love, and happiness. Rooms are cleans. For price and quality of stay you wont find better!!
