Good Morning Guest House is a budget guest house at 42 St 23 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Rooms are plain and simply furnished — a bed, a small desk and a chair — with concrete floors and walls that are not finely finished. Double rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom are available, and guests report comfortable mattresses and pillows. Some rooms have a window opening only onto the corridor, while garden-view rooms have a window to the outside; guests report those staying cool enough with a fan in March.
The guest house has large outdoor common areas, a common area downstairs where you can sit or order something, a small bar and a pool table. Water bottle refills are available for 2,000 riel. WiFi is inconsistent but handles social media and video streaming.

Le quartier
The guest house is at 42 St 23 in central Phnom Penh, close to the Central Market and not far from the riverside. Several local restaurants sit within walking distance, though guests note that many nearby places focus on seafood and are priced accordingly. The Lone Star Bar is next door and runs an open mic on Wednesday nights at 8pm.
Bon à savoir
Rooms vary: some have a window only onto the corridor, so ask for a garden-view room if you want an exterior window. Water bottle refills cost 2,000 riel. WiFi is unreliable in places but sufficient for social media and video.

I figured there’s a reason for mixed reviews.
I actually quite like the design of the corridor, for those who says it is cell-like.
The room is fairly simple with minimum furniture (bed, a small desk, and a chair) and the walls aren’t nicely painted. The AC of my room was not cold enough. But unlike what others said the toilet is actually clean and I had hot shower water though the flow was a bit weak. The bed is actually very comfortable and I had a great sleep. The owners seem nice and fun just like everyone else said :)
I would say if you plan to stay in your room for most of the day or want a good looking room, don’t go for it. But if you just sleep there, it’s all good :)
Simple (concrete floor) but clean room. Comfortable bed and good pressure in the shower. Very friendly staff and good location to explore the town.
I recon it's a good place for single travels as well as they got a small bar and a pool table.
Would stay again
Not a five-star hotel, but as value for money, excellent. Plain largish rooms with small washroom and weak showers. Friendly staff. Water bottle refills for 2000 riel. Large outdoor common areas. Some rooms have window only to corridor. Ask for garden view for window to outside, where it is cool enough to get by with fan in March.
Being one of the cheapest accommodations in the city, it’s really ok.
We got a bigger room than booked with two big beds. Very comfortable mattresses. The room was very clean but common areas upstairs should be taken care after - better cleaned and maintained.
It has a nice common area downstairs where one can seat or order something. Not such a social vibe around, can’t explain why.
Location is good, close to central market. Even though there are so many restaurants around, they are dedicated to sea food mainly and therefore are expensive - looks like too expensive even for Vietnam standards but they are always full! Look a bit further in the party street to find some nice street pizza which is cheaper.
WiFi connection in the room failed quite often. Be patient!
There are a lot of agencies around which give better prices for transports than the hostel.
I took the double AC room (with private bathroom) for 2 nights but ended up with 4 nights! The place is quite and calm, staff are friendly, room and the bathroom is clean, mattress and pillows are clean and super comfy! (Although the bed frame can be noisy when you have too much activities on it) WiFi is hit and miss, but do just fine for social media and YouTube. The location of the guest house is quite near to the riverside and there are few local restaurant around the guest house. The big plus for me is the Lone Star Bar next to the Guest House..they do an open mic every Wednesday night 8PM.
Overall it's a good staycation for me and it's worth the price. I'll recommend this guest house for solo or couple travellers who like to have a little privacy during bed time.
