This is an amazing place. Mr. Leng truly made us comfortable at home and I felt I visited my uncle's house in the smll town. I initially booked 1 night but I extended it to 2 nights because it was so nice! My kids still wanted to stay longer though. There were more than 20 cats living in the resort and they were so friendly. My kids were obsessed with kitties and end up they didn't want to go anywhere but stay at the resort whole day. The place was beautiful and the room was neat and clean. Surprisingly we were not bothered by bugs or mosquito that much even though the resort was surrounded by trees and so much green spaces 💚 Mr. Leng's Remock tour was fabulous and I was deeply touched by his kindness and positiv mindset. I truly appreciate for all his familly and this place to give us an unforgettable moments🥰
Tip : There's everything you need even toiletry except for hair dryer. You can buy cat meal in the Tarawin mini mart or lucky mart which are 1~2km away from the resort. We stayed in the villa a/c room. Ground floor was surrounded by trees so no river view but great water pressure. Second floor room had a better view(River view) and fewer bugs but the water pressure and internet connection were a bit weaker than the 1st floor.
Lovely experience in a beautiful, peaceful oasis. Mr Leng is not only friendly, but very eager to help you make the most of your stay with suggestions and tours of Kampot. Definitly do the Fish Island tour if you can! Strongly recommend, even as a budget backpacker it’s nice to treat yourself sometimes!!
Thx Mr. Leng was a great host. We stayed for 2 nights. He helped us book a ticket to Koh Rong. In Koh Rong we couldn’t get a ticket back so we called Leng, he helped us again to book a ticket back. His place is great and very affordable. Not far from the canal where nightlife is quite good. Place is quiet and peaceful. He also helped us get a tuk tuk to the night market and helped us the next day to book a tuk tuk back to the Vietnamese border. The kampot pepper recommendation was great. Still eating some back home. Make sure you get some. Thx Leng for the hospitality. Hope your business thrives ♥️
I had an amazing stay at Mr and Mrs Leng's homestay. The location was amazing, in the middle of the local life of Cambodian people. Our room was fan only but it even had 2 fans which made our sleep more comfortable, the bed was good too. The shower had working hot water. Besides Mr Leng also offers different services like motorbike rental and laundry. And got a nice rooftop bar to enjoy the view of the Kampot River and Bokor Mountain. And another plus was they had a lot of cats and baby kittens roaming around. Definetly recommend this homestay and I would book here again when I am back in Kampot.
Lovely atmospheric family-run property by the very hands-on on the ball owner Leng, his wife Liang and their young son Lothi. Well-kept garden, 2-level rooftop patio overlooking the river with glimpses of the hills of Bokor national park in the evenings, clean spacious well thought-out room with firm comfortable beds.
On our last afternoon, Leng took us on a tour of Fish Island in his remorque with his son. We saw salt fields against the silhouette of Bokor national park, a concrete tower built as a swiftlet farm for the edible birds' nest delicacy, and a canal dug out by hand by the prisoners of the Khmer Rouge.
We enjoyed our four nights there. I don't think I could add anything to what other guests have already described. The standout part of the experience of Fish Island Bungalows is Leng and his family's warmth, openness and authenticity. A testament of the Khmer national character if it can even be summed up in a few words. It was a privilege getting to know Leng a little. Wishing you much success and good health. Many thanks for looking after us.
