Day Sunrise Boutique Hotel

Wild is 55 m west of Day Sunrise Boutique Hotel — about 1 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Day Sunrise Boutique Hotel are Old Maison Eatery (219 m) and Fellini Siem Reap (234 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

A restaurant in the Wat Damnak area of Siem Reap built around a single idea: spring rolls, both fresh rice-paper rolls and deep-fried versions, done in a range of creative combinations rather than the standard version found around town. The menu extends to cocktails and mocktails, a vegetarian selection, and desserts such as banana spring rolls, all served in a space with attentive decor and a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Card and Google Pay are accepted, a small but useful detail in a city where cash is often expected.

Reviewers are consistently enthusiastic, with names like Monsoon Rainbow, King Jayavarman and Mama Mia coming up as favourites among the fresh and fried rolls, and several guests recommend ordering one of each style to compare textures. The service is repeatedly described as warm, professional and fast, with staff singled out for genuine hospitality rather than routine politeness. More than one visitor mentions returning multiple times during a short stay, or wishing they had, and dishes are noted for traditional Khmer touches beneath the inventive presentation. No significant complaints appear in the feedback, though the narrow focus on spring rolls means diners looking for a broader Khmer menu may want to check the offerings beforehand.

Open daily from late morning until late evening, Wild suits couples looking for a relaxed dinner, spring roll enthusiasts, and travellers who want a vegetarian-friendly option without sacrificing flavour. Given the popularity reflected in the review volume, arriving a little ahead of peak dinner hours is a sensible precaution for those without a reservation.

MR.LY Gym and Boxing is 117 m south-east of Day Sunrise Boutique Hotel — about 1 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sport & fitness”.

The other place under “sport & fitness” within reach of Day Sunrise Boutique Hotel is Aum Yoga Center, Siem Reap, Cambodia (2.4 km).

MR.LY Gym and Boxing is a Kun Khmer and boxing training facility on the far side of the river from Pub Street, offering group classes and open gym access alongside coaching for fighters at different stages of experience. Visitors describe a working gym rather than a polished fitness studio: equipment is functional but not new, and the space is set up for genuine training rather than casual sightseeing.

What comes through consistently in reviews is the quality of the coaching. Guests repeatedly mention coaches who are patient with beginners while still running serious sessions, and several note that champion fighters train alongside regular clients, giving the place a credible, unglamorous feel. Equipment for classes is provided on site, so newcomers do not need their own gear. The value for money is mentioned often, with entry to the gym or a class priced low enough that people treat it as an easy addition to a Siem Reap stay. One longer-term visitor who trained there for two months recalls a demanding daily routine of sparring and clinching that noticeably improved their skills. The main practical caveat raised is navigational rather than about the gym itself: there are multiple businesses with a similar name, so it is worth confirming the route in advance, past Pub Street and across the river.

The gym is open every day from 6am to 9pm, which allows for morning or evening sessions around sightseeing. It suits both complete beginners curious about Kun Khmer or boxing and more experienced fighters looking for real sparring, since reviewers describe classes as adaptable to different skill levels. Anyone booking transport should double check the address given the name overlap with other gyms in town, and those short on time in the city may still find a single class worthwhile based on how visitors describe the experience.

Old Market Bridge is 200 m north-east of Day Sunrise Boutique Hotel — about 3 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sights”.

The next two places under “sights” from Day Sunrise Boutique Hotel are The Living Arts Village by Artisans Angkor (333 m) and Pub Street (337 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

This pedestrian bridge stands at the heart of Siem Reap's riverfront district, adjacent to the Old Market and offering direct access to the surrounding riverbank. The bridge itself is modest in structure but serves as a hub for the evening economy—restaurants, food stalls, and small shops line the water's edge, and the area is lit in the evenings. From the bridge you can see neighboring structures including an art bridge nearby, and the wider riverside promenade allows for a walking loop through the commercial quarter.

Visitors consistently highlight the bridge as an evening destination rather than a daytime sight. The riverside atmosphere at night draws particular praise, with the decorative lighting and restaurant activity creating what guests describe as lively surroundings. The food stalls serve local street dishes and fresh produce, though multiple visitors note that bargaining skill is expected if you plan to purchase. A practical caveat appears in several reviews: the bridge handles vehicle traffic, so caution is needed when walking, particularly if focusing on photographs.

The bridge suits anyone exploring downtown Siem Reap in the evening or hunting for local food experiences. It's open around the clock, so there's no timing restriction, though the atmosphere is most active after dark. The location is central enough that most visitors exploring the city center will encounter it organically. The nearby Old Market offers conventional shopping but requires negotiation; the bridge and riverside are better for casual browsing and eating without the same pressure to transact.

Old Maison Eatery is 219 m south of Day Sunrise Boutique Hotel — about 3 minutes on foot. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Day Sunrise Boutique Hotel are Wild (55 m) and Fellini Siem Reap (234 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Tucked into the quieter Wat Damnak area of Siem Reap, Old Maison Eatery is a Khmer restaurant with a rustic, well-finished interior that several visitors compare favourably to smarter Western dining rooms. The menu covers local staples alongside some Western dishes, with rice crackers and shrimp fritters served as starters and mains that run from beef lok lak and fish amok to a beef saraman curry. It opens daily from 3:00 to 10:30 PM.

Reviewers are consistent on a few points: the rice crackers with their dipping sauce and the shrimp fritters with pepper sauce are repeatedly singled out, and the saraman curry and lok lak also draw praise. Food prices are described as affordable for the quality and portion size, though one visitor noted drinks run a bit pricier. Service comes up again and again as a highlight, with staff described as attentive, warm, and willing to bring extras like more dipping sauce without being asked. A couple of reviewers mention minor misses, such as fried rice with slightly dry chicken or shrimp fritters that were fine but unremarkable, though these are framed as small quibbles rather than real complaints. More than one guest calls the restaurant among the better meals of their whole Siem Reap trip.

Given how often reviewers mention the place being busy, booking ahead is worth doing rather than turning up on spec, especially in the evening. The setting suits couples and families looking for a proper sit-down dinner rather than a quick bite, and it works well as an introduction to Khmer cuisine for visitors who want familiar comforts like fries alongside more traditional dishes.

An Italian restaurant on Bamboo Street in Siem Reap, serving pizza and pasta alongside a full separate vegan menu, with cocktails and dessert also on offer. The setting is elegant and relaxing enough to be remembered for the atmosphere as much as the food, and it is open daily from late morning into the evening.

Guests are consistently enthusiastic, with a very high volume of reviews backing up the praise. Pizza and pasta dishes such as papardelle come up repeatedly as fresh and well presented, and the vegan menu is singled out more than once as unexpectedly extensive and well executed. Service is a recurring theme too, with individual staff members and managers thanked by name for attentiveness, including small touches like a complimentary birthday dessert or keeping a toddler entertained at the table. Several visitors mention returning more than once during a single stay in Siem Reap, and more than one comparison is made favourably against actual restaurants in Italy. No significant complaints or caveats appear in the feedback.

Given how often repeat visits are mentioned, arriving without a reservation on a busy evening could mean a wait, so booking ahead for dinner is worth considering. It suits couples, families with children, and anyone travelling with dietary restrictions, given the dedicated vegan options. The combination of Western comfort food, wine and cocktails, and attentive service makes it a reasonable choice for a night that steps away from Khmer cuisine, whether for a casual meal or something closer to a celebration.

Sabay Cinema Siem Reap is 244 m north-west of Day Sunrise Boutique Hotel — about 3 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “cinema”.

The other place under “cinema” within reach of Day Sunrise Boutique Hotel is Legend Cinemas Siem Reap (1.2 km).

Sabay Cinema Siem Reap is a multiplex cinema located on Sivutha Road in central Siem Reap, operating daily from 9 AM to 11:30 PM. The venue offers multiple screens showing a mix of international films, mostly in 3D format, alongside 2D options. The ground floor has a snack bar serving popcorn and basic refreshments. Screens are equipped with air conditioning and working sound systems, with seating that includes adjustable armrests.

Visitors consistently praise the comfortable seating, clear audio, and reasonable ticket prices, typically around $2.50 to $3 per ticket. The air-conditioned environment is noted as a welcome relief in the tropical heat. However, guests mention several recurring issues: the men's toilets frequently malfunction, the snack selection is limited to popcorn and microwaved items with few alternatives, and while screen quality is adequate for enjoying films, it is not considered premium. Some visitors also report that most American releases are shown in 3D rather than 2D. The bakery that once operated here is no longer available. One visitor mentioned dark stairs inside the theater, though another dispute this observation.

This cinema suits visitors looking for an affordable movie experience during their stay in Siem Reap, particularly those seeking air-conditioned refuge during midday heat. It works best for flexible moviegoers who are not particular about snack options or cutting-edge screen technology. Arrive early if you have specific preferences for 2D showings, as 3D films dominate the schedule. Ticket prices make it accessible for casual viewing, but plan bathroom needs carefully given the reported maintenance issues with male facilities.

Ambar Cocktails & Karaoke Bar is 284 m north-west of Day Sunrise Boutique Hotel — about 4 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “bars”.

The next two places under “bars” from Day Sunrise Boutique Hotel are Charms Cambodia (381 m) and ASANA OLD WOODEN HOUSE Cocktail Bar (414 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Ambar Cocktails & Karaoke Bar is a two-in-one venue in Siem Reap's Alley W where you can order cocktails and move between drinking and karaoke in the same space. The bar operates nightly from 6 PM until 3 AM. It draws a mixed crowd of locals, remote workers, and tourists, with a casual atmosphere that regulars describe as down to earth.

Visitors consistently praise the cocktails and the friendliness of staff and owner. The owner, who is from Colombia, is noted for mingling with guests and occasionally buying rounds for the bar. Guests mention reasonable prices compared to nearby venues, and several visitors returned multiple times during their stays in Siem Reap. One visitor noted the karaoke equipment could use an upgrade—specifically stronger vocal microphones and additional speakers—though this did not dominate their overall positive experience.

Come in the evening or late night if you want a sociable atmosphere; the bar is busiest after work hours and into the early morning. The karaoke facilities are available but not state-of-the-art, so manage expectations if you're seeking polished karaoke-bar production. It suits anyone looking for cocktails in a relaxed setting without pretension, and particularly appeals to people staying longer in Siem Reap who want a regular spot.

X-Bar is 331 m north-west of Day Sunrise Boutique Hotel — about 4 minutes on foot.

X-Bar is a rooftop bar on the corner of Sivath Boulevard and Sok San Road, positioned just outside the main Pub Street strip in Siem Reap. The space has multiple levels and games—pool tables, foosball, air hockey, shuffleboard, and beer pong—along with a notable half-pipe skate ramp on the top level. It opens from 5 PM until 4 AM daily, with a rooftop layout offering views of Pub Street and the surrounding area.

Visitors consistently praise the atmosphere once it fills up after 10 PM, describing it as lively and energetic with a good mix of locals and tourists. DJs and occasional live music are regular features. Drinks are reasonably priced, with canned beers around 1.50 dollars and bottles at 1.75 dollars. Some guests mention a fire show as an occasional attraction. However, experiences vary noticeably: while most visitors enjoy the venue, particularly late into the evening, a few report disappointingly slow service and disengaged staff during quieter periods. The rooftop can be quite subdued in early evening hours with sparse crowds. One visitor noted the bartender appeared uninterested, contrasting sharply with other accounts of friendly staff. The quieter periods mean the music level is manageable compared to other nearby bars, which appeals to those wanting conversation.

X-Bar works best for late-night visits after 10 PM or especially after 1 AM when other bars close and crowds migrate here. It suits visitors seeking games, dancing, and a mixed social scene rather than a focused nightclub experience. Expect it to be calmer in early evening if you arrive before 9 PM, and best visited with a group given the games and social setup. The location just off Pub Street helps it maintain a slightly less touristy edge than venues directly on the main strip.
