I recently had an absolutely fantastic stay here. Service was impeccable and the staff went completely out of their way to make me feel welcome. The rooms were modern, spotlessly clean, and featured exceptionally comfortable beds alongside large windows offering stunning panoramic views of the city skyline. A major highlight of the property is the rooftop area, where you can enjoy an incredible breakfast buffet in the morning, lounge by the spectacular pool, and sip drinks at the rooftop bar while watching an unforgettable sunset over the city. Perfectly located in the heart of Phnom Penh, the hotel makes it incredibly easy to explore major attractions like the Royal Palace and local markets, making it the ultimate choice for top-tier Marriott hospitality with a warm Cambodian touch.
A special thanks goes to Sachea at the reception desk, whose warmth and professionalism made a wonderful first impression
Our 2-night stay at Courtyard by Marriott Phnom Penh was nothing short of exceptional. Service was warm, genuine, and consistently impeccable throughout our stay.
We stayed in a corner suite on the 16th floor, and it was superb—spacious, thoughtfully designed, and perfect for longer stays. The double closets were a standout feature, with ample space for both large luggage and carry-ons, plus all our clothes. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered spectacular views of Phnom Penh’s skyline and landmarks—something we looked forward to every morning and evening.
The rooftop pool and bar were stunning, offering a relaxing escape with incredible views.
But the true highlight was breakfast. It brought back so many of our favorite Cambodian flavors that we had been missing. The chef even recommended trying lort noodles as a soup—my first time having it this way, and it was absolutely delicious. The variety of breads, pastries, fresh fruits, and interactive hot stations made breakfast an experience in itself.
The location is also very convenient—within walking distance or a short tuktuk ride to the National Museum of Cambodia, Central Market, and the charming shops along Street 240.
Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.
It’s in the heart of Phnom Penh so Location is absolutely fine. With respect to restaurants you have all type of options from local Cambodian food to Indian cuisines.
Breakfast is excellent with all kinds of options, I would like to mention a service steward named Vika, she had a great smile and listens carefully to what is exactly required.
They need to improve their service in the front desk though. I had some issue with my Air conditioner and I had to call the front desk at around 11 pm but the technical guy never reached. It could really be frustrating if your AC is not working in a hot country like Cambodia.
All in all a rating of 4 for courtyard by Marriott
I’d like to share my experience with Courtyard. They provide excellent customer service, along with thoughtful compliments for both new and returning guests. What stood out most is how friendly and accommodating the staff are—they are even willing to extend their working hours to ensure customer satisfaction.
Recently, I had a personal experience where the Deck rooftop service, which normally closes at 11 PM, stayed open an extra two hours just to accommodate my party as a single customer. This truly reflects their strong commitment to customer relationships and service excellence.
I highly recommend visiting Courtyard for a memorable experience. Thank you, Courtyard!
My favorite Marriott, I have stayed in Marriott hotels all over the world for work, and although I like most of them this is by far my favorite. It a fairly large hotel with 21 floors, but doesn’t have the corporate feel of some. I have been coming there for five years on and off. I know all of the staff and they treat me like family when I arrive. Whether it’s seeing Thida first thing in the morning, or the guys on the rooftop serving drinks at night I feel like I not only staying in a first class hotel, but I am also visiting friends. I hope everyone going there feels the same way. Highly recommend!!!!!!
