About Bella Angkor Resort

BB Angkor Green Resort is a resort hotel on Route 07 in Borei Seng Nam II, Sangkat Srange, on the outskirts of Siem Reap. Rooms and villas are decorated in a modern style that uses Cambodian traditional woodwork throughout, and the grounds are laid out with green planting. Larger villas suit families and include a kitchen, which is useful given the limited food choice on site.

The resort centres on a swimming pool, with a kids' play area, a fitness centre and a spa area alongside it. There is also a designated smoking area and a music area. Reception operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and staff can arrange airport pickup, transport into town, tuk-tuk and shuttle services. The resort's tour guides can take guests out to the temples.

The setting is quiet and away from the crowds of downtown Siem Reap, while remaining close to Angkor Wat and the town centre. It suits families and...

The area

The resort sits on Route 07 in Borei Seng Nam II, Sangkat Srange, close to both Angkor Wat and downtown Siem Reap. Guests describe the surroundings as quiet and green, away from the busier centre of town. Some do note that it is a bit far from town, so plan on using the tuk-tuk, shuttle or town transport the staff can arrange.

Good to know

The resort operates 24 hours a day, every day of the week. Staff can arrange airport pickup, town transportation, tuk-tuk and shuttle services on request. Food choice on site is limited, and villas come with a kitchen, so some guests bring their own supplies. Managers have allowed guests to hold private events such as birthday parties on site.

Great room and amazing pool. Staff was nice. They aren't stocked up on necessities. If you're going there for the room and pool, it's a great place! But if you're going there for food also, I would go somewhere else. But the managers are very accommodating in letting us have a birthday party there!

I had a very bad experience with this hotel. My booking was confirmed a month ago before arrival. Then, I receive an email from hotel a day before my arrival saying that they are closing on 1st January. They offered me a refund or move our stay to another hotel. Since I was on the way to Siem Reap with family, I had to take their offer for an alternate hotel. They gave me a 3 star hotel as an alternate. It was very old hotel and we could hear water flushing noises in our room from the upper floor. I contacted BB Angkor Green Resort and asked for refund for remaining stay. They agreed and I moved out next day. BB Green hotel stoped responding to my messages. I had to go there and speak to the manager. They finally refunded money but charged me almost 100 USD for one night at at 3 star hotel. I had no choice but to take this offer. My question is if you were aware you were going to close in January, why would you take bookings, send booking confirmations and send room unavailability notice at last moment? How can you change for a five star accommodation and provide an alternative old 3 star hotel as replacement? Why can't you offer same grade hotel as an alternate? Don’t think people are stupid. Avoid this hotel if you don't want to ruin your holidays.

Had a great time here. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautifully decorated in a modern style, with Cambodian traditional woodwork used throughout. My kids loved it here in a quiet and peaceful place away from the madness of downtown Siem Reap. We relaxed as a family and got to see all the temples using the resorts tour guides who were very knowledgeable about everything. Couldn't recommend it more!!

Beautiful resorts with lot of greeny decorations, huge Villa for families, very nice swimming pool plus the kid play, fitness center and spa area, additional they also provide smoking area and music area. It's fresh and quite from the city. It's good to be out of crowded. They provide airport pickup and town transportation which it's helpful. However, there is little variety for food, I guess they expect people to bring food along as there is also kitchen in the villa. The stuffs are helpful and warm welcome and willing to help for any requests.

The Secret Eden Spa

Spa & wellness 5.0 km 4.7/5 on Google

The Secret Eden Spa is 5.0 km south-east of Bella Angkor Resort — a short ride rather than a walk. It is the closest place to the hotel under “spa & wellness”.

The next two places under “spa & wellness” from Bella Angkor Resort are The Spa Siem Reap (5.4 km) and Relax Spa (5.4 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

The Secret Eden Spa sits on Sok San Road in central Siem Reap, offering massage and body treatments in a setting visitors describe as peaceful and quietly designed. The spa provides shuttle pickup and drop-off to and from hotels, and treatment rooms are separate, clean spaces with private facilities. Visitors consistently mention the calm atmosphere and the quality of the massage work itself as reasons to return.

Guests praise the skill of the therapists and the accuracy of deep tissue work, with several noting they have had better massages here than elsewhere. The reasonable pricing relative to the quality of treatment comes up repeatedly. Staff are described as warm and welcoming—the reception area greets visitors with iced tea and a cold face cloth. Communication through WhatsApp for same-day bookings is reportedly fast. No significant complaints appear in visitor feedback; the main point of consistent recommendation is the combination of professional technique, peaceful setting, and value.

The spa opens daily from 9:30 AM to 10:00 PM (closed Sundays). It suits anyone in Siem Reap wanting a massage or body scrub without the hassle of arranging transport, and works well for repeat treatments during a stay. Booking through their WhatsApp number appears to be the practical approach, particularly if you want same-day availability. The location on a quieter lane means you can step away from central Siem Reap's busier streets.

Restaurants 5.2 km 4.9/5 on Google

Graines de Piaf is 5.2 km south-east of Bella Angkor Resort — a short ride rather than a walk. It is the closest place to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Bella Angkor Resort are Mesa - Restaurant (5.6 km) and Wild (5.8 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Tucked on Funky Lane in Siem Reap, Graines de Piaf is a small French restaurant open evenings only, run by a French owner who cooks and often talks guests through the menu himself. Dishes mentioned by visitors include bavette, magret de canard, pork filet with truffle sauce, duck in mustard sauce, beef fillet and creme brûlé, with meals typically served with salad and bread in the French style, alongside wine the owner is happy to pair with the food.

Reviews are consistently positive, with guests praising the quality and freshness of the cooking, reasonable prices, and the warmth of the owner, who is repeatedly described as friendly, passionate and attentive, including to non-French speakers thanks to an English menu. The one recurring caveat is space: the dining room is small and can get crowded and noisy on busy nights, with karaoke inside, so some diners have ended up seated outside among smokers, which they actually found quieter than the interior.

This is a place for an evening meal rather than a casual lunch, since it only opens from 6pm to midnight. It suits travellers who have had their fill of local cuisine and want a properly cooked French dinner with wine, or anyone curious about a small, personally run kitchen rather than a large restaurant. Given the limited seating and evident popularity, arriving early or booking ahead is worth considering, especially on weekends, and those who prefer a quiet indoor setting might ask about seating before committing to a table.

Sport & fitness 5.3 km 5.0/5 on Google

Aum Yoga Center, Siem Reap, Cambodia is 5.3 km east of Bella Angkor Resort — a short ride rather than a walk. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sport & fitness”.

The other place under “sport & fitness” within reach of Bella Angkor Resort is MR.LY Gym and Boxing (5.9 km).

Aum Yoga Center sits on the grounds of Angkor Grace in Siem Reap and offers a full studio setup rather than a single yoga room: showers, lockers, a bathroom, drinking water, books and sofas for lingering before or after class. The schedule runs across styles — Hatha, Vinyasa, aerial yoga, aqua yoga and sound-focused sessions that use crystal bowls, chanting or a teacher's voice during shavasana, sometimes from hammocks. The space itself is designed around greenery and natural materials, giving it a calmer, more resort-like feel than a typical studio.

Visitors consistently single out two things: the cleanliness of the facility, down to guests noting their feet stay clean after barefoot practice, and the quality of the teachers, described repeatedly as professional, attentive and patient with beginners. The aerial yoga class comes up often, with newcomers saying the instructors make the inversions feel manageable rather than intimidating. Several guests who took daily morning classes during their stay describe the routine as genuinely energizing, and one mentions considering relocating to Siem Reap partly because of the center. No complaints or caveats surface in the reviews gathered here.

It is open daily from 7:30 in the morning to 7 in the evening, which allows for an early class before sightseeing or a later one to unwind. Given the range of styles offered, it suits both regular practitioners looking to keep a routine going while travelling and first-timers curious about aerial or aqua yoga in a low-pressure setting. Reviewers who attended multiple sessions in a single week suggest it rewards repeat visits rather than a single drop-in, so travellers with a few days in Siem Reap are likely to get the most out of it.

The Spa Siem Reap

Spa & wellness 5.4 km 4.8/5 on Google

The Spa Siem Reap is 5.4 km south-east of Bella Angkor Resort — a short ride rather than a walk.

The next two places under “spa & wellness” from Bella Angkor Resort are The Secret Eden Spa (5.0 km) and Relax Spa (5.4 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Set on Sok San Road, this spa occupies a spacious, well-appointed building where the arrival ritual is part of the experience: a welcome drink, cold water or tea, and sometimes a foot cleanse before guests are guided upstairs to treatment rooms. Facials, body scrubs, wraps and massages, including longer couples sessions with add-ons, are among the treatments on offer, carried out in clean, quiet rooms with soft background music.

Reviewers are consistently positive about the setting and the service around the treatment itself: the foyer, the hospitality touches like tea served afterward, and the professionalism and warmth of the staff come up again and again. Several guests single out particular therapists by name for attentiveness and care, and more than one review notes that pricing feels straightforward rather than inflated with constant discounts. The massages themselves get a slightly more mixed response — most call them relaxing and good, but a few describe them as solid rather than exceptional, with one guest mentioning a minor lapse in a therapist's personal hygiene that briefly took away from the experience.

The spa runs late, open from mid-morning until 11:30pm most days, which suits both an afternoon stop after temple visits and an evening wind-down before dinner. Booking ahead is sensible for longer or couples' treatments, though at least one guest managed to get in with only two hours' notice, and the staff have been described as flexible with appointment times. It works well for travellers wanting a proper pampering session — facial, scrub, wrap or massage — in surroundings that feel more considered than purely functional, though those chasing the single best massage of their trip may want to temper expectations slightly.

Spa & wellness 5.4 km 4.9/5 on Google

Relax Spa is 5.4 km east of Bella Angkor Resort — a short ride rather than a walk.

The next two places under “spa & wellness” from Bella Angkor Resort are The Secret Eden Spa (5.0 km) and The Spa Siem Reap (5.4 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Relax Spa sits right next to the Park Hyatt in central Siem Reap, offering massage and body treatments in private rooms. Visitors mention a welcome of tea on arrival, a cold towel and refreshment before treatments, and a hot beverage plus fresh mango afterward. Massage oils come in a choice of scents, including lemongrass, and the facility itself is described as clean, spacious and well air-conditioned. Options mentioned by guests include shoulder, back, neck and head massages, foot massages, full body massages, and couples sessions.

Reviews are consistently positive and repeatedly note steady, well-judged pressure from therapists held for the full duration, friendly and professional staff, and a calm, comfortable atmosphere that some guests connect to Khmer and Buddhist sensibilities. Several reviewers highlight promotional discounts, including a 50% off deal that made longer sessions, such as a two-hour massage, feel like good value. A couple of guests mention personal touches, such as staff arranging a small birthday surprise. No significant complaints appear across the reviews, though the frequent mention of time-limited promotions suggests standard rates may differ from what some visitors paid.

The spa is open daily from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM, making it workable for an evening treatment after a day at the temples or a pre-dinner stop given its Central Park location. Given its popularity and the mentions of discounted packages, it is worth asking about current promotions when booking, and reserving ahead if you want a specific time slot or a couples room. It suits travellers wanting a straightforward, comfortable massage experience in a convenient, easy-to-find location rather than a resort-style wellness retreat.

Charms Cambodia is 5.4 km south-east of Bella Angkor Resort — a short ride rather than a walk. It is the closest place to the hotel under “bars”.

The next two places under “bars” from Bella Angkor Resort are ASANA OLD WOODEN HOUSE Cocktail Bar (5.6 km) and Ambar Cocktails & Karaoke Bar (5.6 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Charms Cambodia is a bar on Steung Thmei in central Siem Reap, positioned near the main pub district. The space is described as roomy and includes pool tables. It operates from 5 PM to 2 AM daily. The bar employs a predominantly female staff, which shapes the nature of the venue and the experience visitors report.

Visitors consistently praise the friendly service and affordable drinks. The atmosphere and music receive positive mentions. Guests note the bar's proximity to Pub Street makes it accessible for an evening out. However, opinions divide on the primary draw: some appreciate the social aspect with staff, while others find the focus on staff interaction as the main attraction either appealing or intrusive depending on what they seek from a night out. A handful of visitors express frustration with the 2 AM closing time, noting that competing venues nearby stay open later and still draw customers at that hour.

The bar suits those looking for a casual evening with pool games and drinks in the company of a young, friendly team. It's best visited after 5 PM, any night of the week. Expectations should be calibrated to the bar's model as a staff-interaction venue rather than a quiet spot for conversation or a music-focused club. The early closing time is worth noting if you plan a later night.

VIMEAN SOKHA MUSEUM is 5.5 km east of Bella Angkor Resort — a short ride rather than a walk. It is the closest place to the hotel under “museums & galleries”.

The next two places under “museums & galleries” from Bella Angkor Resort are The Cocoon House - Art Gallery, Concept Store, Fashion Vintage and Skate Shop - by Cocoon Limited (5.7 km) and The River Gallery (5.9 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Vimean Sokha Museum is a privately assembled collection in Siem Reap, built up over some two decades by its owner, known to visitors as Mr. Ly (also referred to as Mr. Lee). Rather than a formal institutional display, it is a personal trove of vintage motorcycles, clocks, cars, vinyl records, cameras, lamps, audio equipment and currency, arranged across a curated space, with a workshop on site where the owner demonstrates his own craftsmanship.

Visitors consistently describe the collection itself as exceptional, calling it one of the richest gatherings of antiques and vintage objects they have seen in Siem Reap, or in Cambodia generally. What stands out most in reviews is the personal guiding: the owner and, at times, his teenage daughter walk guests through the exhibits with evident passion and knowledge, and are happy to take photos for visitors. The recurring caveat is a lack of written explanation for the pieces on display, several reviewers noting that captions and descriptions are minimal and that the experience would benefit from more context or an interactive element, though the guided walk-through largely compensates for this. One small detail mentioned repeatedly: the family enjoys receiving foreign currency notes as donations to add to their collection.

The museum is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., which makes it easy to combine with a visit to the nearby Apopo Centre, as one review suggests. Because much of the value comes from the personal tour, it suits travellers who enjoy an unscripted, conversational visit rather than a self-guided museum experience with wall text. Anyone drawn to vintage mechanics, old cameras, clocks or curios, and who appreciates hearing the story directly from the collector, is likely to find it worthwhile.

The Living Arts Village by Artisans Angkor is 5.5 km south-east of Bella Angkor Resort — a short ride rather than a walk. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sights”.

The next two places under “sights” from Bella Angkor Resort are Pub Street (5.6 km) and Made in Cambodia Market (5.7 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

The Living Arts Village by Artisans Angkor is a working craft center in Siem Reap where visitors can watch artisans create traditional Cambodian pieces. The space is organized into workshops for stone carving, wood carving, metal work, silk weaving, and painting. You can walk through these areas during production and observe the techniques firsthand. Many visitors mention a hands-on station where you can try stone carving yourself. After the workshop tour, there is a large gift shop selling finished pieces made on-site.

Visitors consistently praise the welcoming atmosphere and the skill of the artisans, who are generally happy to explain their work and allow photography. The open workshop layout means you see the actual creative process rather than a staged demonstration. Most people report the experience takes around 45 minutes. A common note is that prices are higher than in other souvenir shops, though visitors accept this because the pieces are made directly by the artisans and the center can arrange worldwide shipping. Entry is free, though you are expected to visit the shop.

The site is open daily from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. It works well if you want to understand how Cambodian crafts are actually made and buy directly from makers rather than through middlemen. Go in off-peak season if you prefer a quieter, more personalized experience, or expect busier periods during high tourist season.
