Asiban Quay Boutique Hotel sits at 319 Sisowath Quay, directly on the Phnom Penh riverfront, on the stretch of the Tonle Sap just before it joins the Mekong. It is a small boutique property rather than a large hotel, with modern rooms that have been recently refurbished. Some rooms open onto large balconies facing the water.
Room amenities are straightforward: air conditioning, hot water, a kettle, a mini fridge and wi-fi. The hotel is run day to day by its manager, along with family members who also work on site, so the operation is small in scale and service is personal.
The location suits both business travellers and visitors here to see the city. The Royal Palace, the museum, and a range of shops and restaurants are all within walking distance, and the riverside promenade runs directly outside the door — somewhere to walk in the evening or to watch the sun come up over the river. The area
The hotel is at 319 Sisowath Quay, on Phnom Penh's Riverside Path, across the street from the water. The promenade along the quay runs past the door and is a short walk in either direction. Shops and restaurants line the surrounding streets, and the Royal Palace and the museum are both close enough to reach on foot.
Good to know
Amenities are simple rather than extensive: air conditioning, hot water, a kettle and a mini fridge in the room, plus wi-fi that is not always available. Rooms differ from one another, and only some have the large balconies that face the river, so request one specifically if you want the view. The riverfront position means the sunrise over the water is visible from the front of the property.
Great boutique hotel. Nice, clean rooms. Good air con, hot showers and some of the friendliest management and staff I've met in Cambodia. Reasonably priced rooms in a great location right on the river. Lots of great shops and restaurants nearby and you're walking distance to all the attractions in town. While you're waiting for jet lag to wear off, you can catch some great sunrises over the river. Whether here on business or pleasure, come check them out. Ask for Srun, tell him Jason sent you
Room looks good at the start, but when we begin we noticed a lot. It seems they don’t manage well the facilities inside. The lights, water and air con is good to be fair. When we used the sink its locked. The drainage was capped. They have only 3 pieces of facial tissues disregard the quality. Walls paints are damage. The balcony smells poop of cat. The other sockets are not working. The door was hard to lock and unlock. And the main thing is, the beddings! The duvet is dirty and the comforter. It’s itchy and stained like it was never been change before we arrived there. I haven’t sleep much so we decided to woke up early and just sit on the balcony.
Great service! A very attentive staff and ready to help. An excellent location by the river and an easy walk. The manager Srun is a very friendly man as is his family who also works at the hotel.
This hotel is stunning, with clean, modern rooms and an amazing view of the Mekong River. Recently modernised, it is maintained to a very high standard. The rain intrusion mentioned in a previous review is typical for this time of year during the rainy season. My room was impeccably maintained. Everything in walking distance including kings palace as well as the museum and many restaurants. Magic spot at night along the promenade. Some rooms have large balconies. Especially I also want to mention Sear from the hotel. He is a very good host always caring about his guests and showing us where to go in Phnom Penh. I highly recommend this place and would always come back when visiting the city again.
The best part of this place is the location, it's right across the street from Sap River just before it meets the Mekong and if you get a balcony it's a great view day or night! The amenities here are simple: AC, hot water, a kettle, a mini fridge, and sometimes wifi. Sear is a great host and speaks fluent English, I would definitely put his hotel at the top of your list!
