We loved our stay at Angkor Wat. We were extremely comfortable and relaxed the entire time. We took advantage of room service and laundry and both were high quality. We had fantastic massages as well. The property is beautiful, and the staff is amazing. Everyone was very attentive, kind, and welcoming. Extra bonus were our cat friends that we made on the property :) (Baby Charlie is pictured)

An Exceptional Stay — Hospitality That Comes From the Heart Our stay at this hotel was truly phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, every single person we encountered was incredibly welcoming, warm and genuinely friendly. The smiles, kindness and hospitality we received throughout our stay made us feel so much more than just guests. As we leave, I’m honestly feeling slightly emotional, with a heart full of happiness and wonderful memories. It’s rare to come across a place where the people make such a lasting impression, but this hotel has achieved exactly that. I will be recommending this hotel wholeheartedly to my family, friends and anyone I know who is visiting. They deserve to experience the incredible hospitality and warmth that we were fortunate enough to receive. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special. We will remember it for a very long time and would absolutely love to return.

I stayed in the suite with two friends in late May 2026 and we absolutely loved it. The location is perfect and walkable but there were always taxis and tuk tuks outside if you plan on going farther. We arranged an airport pick up through the hotel upon arrival and that was helpful. The staff were incredibly accommodating and polite. From warm welcomes each time we left our room from the front desk, to helping us plan local excursions and providing pool side drinks it was all perfect. I think this is how the royals must feel. The property is lush and perfect, you feel like you’re in a jungle. Everywhere you look is a new picturesque view. The pool view is my favorite! Don’t skip on breakfast. It was a great way to start the day. The pork and rice dish and smoothie bowl were my favorites. We cannot recommend this hotel enough!

A beautiful, relaxing paradise in the heart of the city. Embedded in green plants, outfitters with a peaceful soul, a quite pool area and a restaurant surrounded by a pond with colorful fish. Five stars ⭐️! Pub Street and restaurants are easy to reach from here. We would especially like to highlight the warmth and hospitality of the staff — from the reception team and housekeeping to the service staff (Ms. Eang). I highly recommend booking a massage here. My foot massage was the best I’ve ever had.

Our stay was magnificent. This hotel is indeed a tranquil, lush, tropical oasis. The layout maximises guest privacy. The pool is something else; peaceful and beautiful. The hotel’s location is superb, and only a short walk to bustling markets and nightlife. A great deal of thought has been put into room amenities. Room decor is chic and celebrates Cambodia. We dined at the restaurant several times. The food is top notch and great value - fresh, delicious and presented with care. We tried several of their signature cocktails and would gladly sample more! The hotel staff are so friendly, and accommodated our every need diligently and professionally. We would stay here again in a heart beat.

Cafés & bakeries 39 m 1 min walk 4.7/5 on Google

Dialogue is 39 m north-west of Angkor Village Hotel — about 1 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “cafés & bakeries”.

The next two places under “cafés & bakeries” from Angkor Village Hotel are The muffin man, Siem Reap (110 m) and The Bean Embassy Roastery & Specialty Coffee (480 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Dialogue is a cafe on Street 27 in Siem Reap with both indoor and rooftop seating. The menu mixes western and Asian cuisines, anchored by a strong coffee program. Visitors report the espresso and lattes are among the best in town. The kitchen turns out standout dishes like fried rice and tenderloins, though some guests found other items unremarkable. Breakfast options include variations on eggs — one visitor had English muffin with poached eggs, hollandaise and bacon — though the cafe does not offer a full traditional English breakfast.

Staff are consistently praised as helpful and friendly, though there is a notable caveat. One guest mentioned that despite requesting it multiple times, their dishes arrived with bean sprouts despite a stated allergy, which raised concern for anyone with dietary restrictions or allergies. The kitchen's attention to special requests appears inconsistent. On the upside, visitors note the carbonara is rich and satisfying if you enjoy heavy sauces, though it may not suit lighter preferences.

The rooftop setting is described as chill and atmospheric, with indoor seating available too. Dialogue opens daily at 7 AM and stays open until midnight (closed Sundays), making it accessible for breakfast, coffee breaks, lunch or evening visits. Happy hour pricing makes it affordable. The location sits walking distance from Pub Street, though the daytime frontage can be hard to spot from the street — it sits on the corner of Street 26 and Wat Bo Road. This works well for anyone after reliable coffee and a casual meal, though diners with food allergies should verify orders carefully with staff.

Kulen Elephant Forest

Parks & nature 71 m 1 min walk 4.8/5 on Google

Kulen Elephant Forest is 71 m east of Angkor Village Hotel — about 1 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “parks & nature”.

The next two places under “parks & nature” from Angkor Village Hotel are Royal Independence Gardens (1.0 km) and Flying Foxes (1.0 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Kulen Elephant Forest is an elephant retirement sanctuary set within a forested park outside Siem Reap, where a small number of elephants live out their later years in a natural setting rather than performing or giving rides. Visitors join a guided tour through the forest, observing and, in many cases, getting close to the elephants as they roam, bathe or feed, with mahouts and staff on hand to explain each animal's background. Lunch is included as part of the day, and transport to and from the centre is arranged for guests.

Reviews are strikingly consistent: guests repeatedly praise the guides by name, describing them as knowledgeable, funny and clearly attached to the elephants, and several mention that the mahouts treat the animals like family. The focus on retirement and rehabilitation rather than entertainment comes up often, as does the sense that the operation supports both the elephants' welfare and the local community. The pacing of the tour is mentioned favourably, with breaks built in, and food is called a highlight rather than an afterthought. The one practical caveat raised is accessibility: the terrain is not well suited to wheelchairs.

The park opens daily from 8am to 6pm, and given the nature of the visit — walking through forest terrain to spend time near the elephants — it works best for travellers who are reasonably mobile and interested in conservation rather than a quick photo stop. Families with older children and couples looking for a slower, more reflective wildlife encounter seem well suited to it, and booking a guided tour rather than turning up independently appears to be the standard way to visit.

Laundry Bar

Bars 106 m 1 min walk 4.6/5 on Google

Laundry Bar is 106 m north-west of Angkor Village Hotel — about 1 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “bars”.

The next two places under “bars” from Angkor Village Hotel are Barcode Bar Siem Reap (288 m) and ASANA OLD WOODEN HOUSE Cocktail Bar (522 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Laundry Bar is a casual bar on Street 26 in Siem Reap with pool tables, a counter serving craft beers and cocktails, and a simple food menu. The space has the feel of a neighbourhood drinking spot rather than a tourist venue, though it draws visitors from across the world. It opens from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily and is known particularly for Wednesday nights, when open-mic performances bring live music to the bar.

Visitors consistently praise the social atmosphere and the mix of people you can meet there—solo travellers often mention it as an easy place to strike up conversations with expats and locals. Pool games are a draw, and those who attend Wednesday's open-mic night tend to be enthusiastic about the music and talent on display. Reviewers highlight the craft beer selection and cocktail quality. One note: some visitors report limited drink variety and have found the venue's responsiveness to orders inconsistent on quieter nights. Non-drinkers may find the mocktail selection thin.

The bar suits anyone looking for a low-key evening with other travellers and a chance to play pool or listen to live music. Wednesday is the night to go if you want a fuller room and live performances. Arrive after 4 p.m. It works best if you're prepared to order drinks readily and engage with the crowd; it is less ideal if you prefer a quieter table experience or need a wide range of non-alcoholic options.

Cafés & bakeries 110 m 1 min walk 4.8/5 on Google

The muffin man, Siem Reap is 110 m west of Angkor Village Hotel — about 1 minutes on foot. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “cafés & bakeries”.

The next two places under “cafés & bakeries” from Angkor Village Hotel are Dialogue (39 m) and The Bean Embassy Roastery & Specialty Coffee (480 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

A café on Wat Bo Road offering a wide selection of muffins, cakes and cheesecakes alongside a proper breakfast and lunch menu that includes salads, toasties and vegetable-based dishes. Coffee is made in an Australian style, and matcha and other drinks are also on offer. The interior is described as modern and calm, suited to sitting in for a while rather than a quick takeaway stop.

Visitors consistently mention the quality and freshness of the baked goods, with muffins, brownies and cheesecakes coming up again and again as standouts, alongside savoury options like lentil salad, vegetable stacks and chickpea fritters that cater well to vegetarian and vegan diets. The coffee draws particular praise for its quality. Portion sizes are called generous and prices reasonable, and staff are repeatedly described as friendly and attentive. No notable complaints or caveats appear in the reviews, and several visitors mention returning multiple times during their stay.

Open daily from 7am to 10pm, it works equally well for an early breakfast, a working lunch or a dessert stop after dinner, as one visitor used it. The range of vegetarian and vegan dishes makes it a reliable option for travellers with dietary preferences, while the mix of light meals and pastries suits anyone wanting more than just coffee. Given its popularity, arriving outside peak breakfast or lunch hours may mean an easier time finding a seat.

Barcode Bar Siem Reap is 288 m north-west of Angkor Village Hotel — about 4 minutes on foot. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “bars”.

The next two places under “bars” from Angkor Village Hotel are Laundry Bar (106 m) and ASANA OLD WOODEN HOUSE Cocktail Bar (522 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Barcode Bar is a drag show venue in Siem Reap's Mondul 1 Village that runs performances nightly from 9 pm. The bar seats guests for a three-hour show featuring performers in elaborate costumes. Visitors describe a casual, welcoming space with air conditioning and a mix of seating, from main tables to spots available on busier nights. The atmosphere draws both tourists passing through and repeat visitors to the city.

Guests consistently praise the quality and energy of the performances, with multiple reviews highlighting the entertainers' costumes and engaging stage presence. The staff and performers are frequently mentioned as warm and approachable—several visitors note that performers remember guests from previous nights and interact with the crowd after acts. The three-hour show format draws praise for its sustained energy. Atmospherically, reviews describe the crowd as lively and welcoming, particularly later in the evening on weekends, though Sunday nights are reportedly quieter than Saturday. The bar stocks drinks that visitors describe as good, though specifics are not detailed in guest feedback.

The venue opens at 8 pm Tuesday through Sunday, with shows beginning at 9 pm and running until around midnight or later. It's closed Mondays. The location in Mondul 1 Village is accessible but not in central Siem Reap's main tourist strip. The three-hour show length and late-night hours make it suitable for visitors planning an evening out rather than a quick drink, and guests mention it as family-friendly for teenagers. Arriving early on weekends ensures better seat options.

Old Market Bridge

Sights 329 m 4 min walk 4.4/5 on Google

Old Market Bridge is 329 m west of Angkor Village Hotel — about 4 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sights”.

The next two places under “sights” from Angkor Village Hotel are Pub Street (478 m) and Made in Cambodia Market (729 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

This pedestrian bridge stands at the heart of Siem Reap's riverfront district, adjacent to the Old Market and offering direct access to the surrounding riverbank. The bridge itself is modest in structure but serves as a hub for the evening economy—restaurants, food stalls, and small shops line the water's edge, and the area is lit in the evenings. From the bridge you can see neighboring structures including an art bridge nearby, and the wider riverside promenade allows for a walking loop through the commercial quarter.

Visitors consistently highlight the bridge as an evening destination rather than a daytime sight. The riverside atmosphere at night draws particular praise, with the decorative lighting and restaurant activity creating what guests describe as lively surroundings. The food stalls serve local street dishes and fresh produce, though multiple visitors note that bargaining skill is expected if you plan to purchase. A practical caveat appears in several reviews: the bridge handles vehicle traffic, so caution is needed when walking, particularly if focusing on photographs.

The bridge suits anyone exploring downtown Siem Reap in the evening or hunting for local food experiences. It's open around the clock, so there's no timing restriction, though the atmosphere is most active after dark. The location is central enough that most visitors exploring the city center will encounter it organically. The nearby Old Market offers conventional shopping but requires negotiation; the bridge and riverside are better for casual browsing and eating without the same pressure to transact.

Mealea Watbo is 419 m east of Angkor Village Hotel — about 5 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Angkor Village Hotel are HAVEN (496 m) and Mesa - Restaurant (507 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Mealea Watbo is a Cambodian restaurant on Street 26 in Siem Reap, open daily from 11 in the morning until 11 at night. The setting combines traditional and modern decoration, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and guests mention a view that adds to the experience. The menu runs through Khmer staples such as fish, chicken and soup dishes, finished with desserts like coconut ice cream served with rice jelly and watermelon.

Visitors describe the food as flavourful and well presented, with several first-time tasters of Cambodian cuisine saying they were won over from the first bite. Value for money comes up often, with more than one reviewer calling it the best they have found in Siem Reap. Staff attentiveness is a recurring theme, and one server, Kakada, is repeatedly singled out by name for her warmth, clear English and thoughtful recommendations, including relocating diners indoors when insects became a nuisance during an outdoor meal. The lone practical note is a request to remove bones from the fish soup, a small detail rather than a wider complaint.

Given the long daily hours, it suits both a casual solo dinner and a small business gathering, as one guest describes using it for a work dinner. It works equally well for travellers wanting an introduction to Khmer food and for those who already know it and want a reliable, well-run spot. With close to 1,300 reviews and a rating that sits at 4.9, it draws a steady crowd, so arriving during peak dinner hours may mean a short wait, though nothing in the reviews suggests reservations are essential. Outdoor seating is worth requesting for the view, provided you don't mind the occasional insect that comes with dining near greenery in the evening.

Sights 478 m 6 min walk 4.4/5 on Google

Pub Street is 478 m west of Angkor Village Hotel — about 6 minutes on foot. Of the 5 places under “sights” within a kilometre of the hotel, this is the best rated.

The next two places under “sights” from Angkor Village Hotel are Old Market Bridge (329 m) and Made in Cambodia Market (729 m), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Pub Street is the main entertainment hub in central Siem Reap, a vehicle-free street lined with bars, clubs, restaurants, and food stalls. The strip fills with lights and music at night and operates around the clock, drawing both tourists and locals. Nearby is a night market offering additional food and shopping options. Visitors can expect everything from dance clubs and cocktail bars to casual seating areas and street food vendors.

Guests consistently praise the atmosphere and value. The street is energetic and social—people mention it as ideal for meeting other travellers and relaxing after temple visits, with an upbeat vibe comparable to entertainment districts in New Orleans or Nashville. Beer prices are notably cheap, with some visitors citing beers around 0.75 USD, and happy hour deals are common. Food options span many cuisines with reasonable pricing. The main caveat is the noise level; music is loud throughout the street, which some find exciting and others find overwhelming. Locals are reported as friendly and willing to chat.

The street works best as an evening and late-night destination after a day of sightseeing. It suits travellers seeking nightlife, casual dining, and a social atmosphere rather than a quiet experience. It is busiest after dark and operates continuously, so timing is flexible. Those sensitive to noise or seeking a more subdued evening should consider elsewhere in the city, though the street remains functional and welcoming throughout its hours.
