Set about 10km outside the main center of Siem Reap, Angkor Rural Boutique provides a peaceful setting to relax and experience local hospitality. And talk about excellent hospitality! I had contacted the property ahead of our stay to see if they could do anything special for my partner as we were arriving on his birthday. The positive response from Sokun and her team was beyond anything I could have hope for to make the day special. Upon arrival, we were served refreshing glasses of passion fruit juice then shown to our upgraded honeymoon suite- decorated with flowers, towel animals and a happy birthday banner. This wonderful welcome was then made even better by a special, romantic birthday dinner served on the upper level of the resort's dining patio. The three-course meal was absolutely delicious and topped off by the presentation of a birthday cake! I'll echo the comments made by other reviewers that what makes Angkor Rural Boutique truly special is its wonderful, smiling staff. Their kindness, warmth and charm made our stay one to remember!

Wonderful friendly staff, nice food and beautiful surrounds. Be careful going off the paths as there are cords in the grass near the ponds and they are very easy to trip on. Pool is awesome! And the lounges, chairs and other furniture are plus size friendly. Quick warning though, this is NOT somewhere you can boil the water a few times to make it safe, and if you get sick the nearest pharmacy is not easy to access. If in doubt take some tummy meds with you just in case. Overall really loved my time here, but I wish I'd come at the start of the trip not the end.

Stunning accommodation in the most beautiful setting. Staff are fantastic, friendly and excellent service. Value for money is exceptional given the standard of the rooms, breakfast, service, free airport shuttle and free tuk tuk to and from siem reap in the evening. I wish we could stay longer. Thanks for your hospitality x

An incredible experience at the Angkor Rural Boutique Resort. Such warm hospitality from Sokun, Kunthy and Sophika made it feel more like a homestay with the space and amenities of a resort. If you're looking for a small resort experience that is set just outside the hustle and bustle of the city with beautiful rural sunset views, this is an excellent option. We booked the Green Rice Family Suite for our family of 4, which was perfect with ample space for us to spread out. The food was reasonably priced and very tasty. Sophika arranged a great tuktuk driver for us and was friendly throughout. Sokun, the owner, took the time to teach our children how to make bracelets out of soda pull tabs, which they loved. If you're looking for a large traditional resort, this is not the place. However, if you're looking for a small, personal, and memorable experience, look no further!

Still here but have to leave a review already because my wife and I are enjoying it so much! Was originally hesitant by being a bit outside downtown, but it’s a quick $2 tuk-tuk ride and the peace and quiet here at this retreat is soothing following the noise of Pub St. The staff has gone above and beyond arranging out outings, to making late breakfasts when we sleep in, to doing our laundry. The rooms are gorgeous, clean and brilliantly decorated. This feels like such an authentic piece of Cambodia and has truly been our favorite part of our time in Siem Reap.

EE-cafe is 207.5 km south of Angkor Rural Lodge — a short ride rather than a walk.

This countryside café in Kirirom offers coffee in a spacious, clean setting. Visitors find it a peaceful spot with functioning facilities, though it serves drinks rather than food. The atmosphere appeals to those seeking a quiet break in a rural location.

Guests consistently highlight the coffee quality and reasonable prices, along with the cleanliness of the space and toilets. Several mention the peacefulness of the setting. One visitor noted the limitation that food is not served here, only beverages, which is worth knowing if you plan a longer stop. The overall feedback suggests a straightforward, functional café rather than a destination venue.

The café suits travellers passing through Kirirom who want a coffee break without fanfare, or anyone seeking a calm spot away from busier areas. Go expecting coffee and a quiet atmosphere, not a meal or elaborate service. The rural location means it works best as a planned stop rather than a casual drop-in.
