Hotels near Trapang Tloeung Market

Trapang Tloeung Market is a neighbourhood market on Veng Sreng Boulevard where locals shop for everyday essentials. Stalls sell fresh meat and vegetables, clothing, household goods, and ready-to-eat food and drinks. It functions as a working market rather than a tourist destination, with the layout and stock you would expect in a busy Phnom Penh residential area.

Visitors consistently note that the market carries most things you need for daily life, and several mention enjoying the authentic local atmosphere. However, cleanliness is a recurring concern in reviews, with visitors pointing out that hygiene standards fall short of what you might find in larger shopping centres or better-maintained markets elsewhere in the city. The experience is straightforward and functional rather than polished.

The market operates daily from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. It suits visitors looking for a genuine local shopping experience and those staying in the surrounding neighbourhood who need basic groceries or household items. If you are particular about sanitation, bring hand sanitiser and inspect produce carefully. This is not a curated market experience; it is where Phnom Penh residents actually shop.
