Hotels near The Third Place 2 BBQ & SOUP

The Third Place 2 BBQ & SOUP is a casual dining establishment in Kampong Thom where the main draw is hot pot cooked at your table. The venue operates from early morning through late evening, serving a local clientele who come for the interactive cooking experience and the broths that define the menu. The setting is straightforward—not a polished establishment, but built around the food and the communal aspect of the meal.

Visitors consistently mention that the food is tasty and priced affordably. The atmosphere tends to be popular with locals, which several guests note as a sign of authenticity. An important caveat: there is no English menu, so ordering requires either pointing to what other diners are eating or relying on the head waitress, who speaks English well enough to guide newcomers through their choices. Cleanliness appears to be maintained according to visitor reports.

This suits travellers looking for an unpretentious, genuinely local eating experience rather than a tourist-oriented venue. Come prepared to communicate through gestures or images if your Khmer is limited, though the staff member who speaks English can help. The early opening hours—from 4 AM—mean it caters to a specific crowd; evening visits are more typical for tourists. Note that opening hours are not confirmed for Sunday.
