We booked a room for two nights in late June 2026. The online photos looked incredible but when we arrived we got quite a shock.
The place was shabby and unkept and all the outside furniture was worn and dusty. We appeared to be the only people staying there. The pool was green and had a layer of sludge on the bottom and was closed for “ cleaning” the entire time we were there. The bar and the restaurant was closed as it was, “the low season.” There was no food or drink available. Breakfast never appeared. The hotel is a Tuk Tuk ride down potholed and dusty roads.
The room was okay though it smelled a little mouldy. Drinking water was available from a purifying system on the wall that looked like it hadn’t had the filter changed in a couple of years.
Can’t recommend this place. We moved.
The place was beautiful like the pictures with friendly staff but it seemed a a bit worn and mismanaged. For the price, can’t say it was worth the money.
Breakfast included was mediocre at best, small portions.
Location seemed fine and close to city until you get on the roads to get to the property. Ride was so bumpy and place feels out in nowhere despite being only a few minutes away from city center.
Pool was shocking, it was green, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned and had stuff floating on it. Staff reassured that there was sludge and said they don’t use chlorine not sure how to feel about that.
Wouldn’t stay more than a night. Could be better with more care and maintenance however.
Everything is good for this price. For the swimming pool 4☆ because the water was hot and not clean.
Air con working well, room was clean and the most amazing think at this place was The quietest atmosphere and the Beautiful unforgetable trill of the birds .

The reality is, this place needs to make some reinvestments\upgrades asap or it will go down hill fast. Its almost good but everything is old and needs attention - AC is old, wifi is slow, gaps in doors that let in the bugs. Overall the stay was fine but not coming back until some reinvestment is made
On arrival the room place is lovely. Green plants, ponds etc. The staff are fairly friendly but one poor guy gets roped into everything if you're western for English. Not to worry.. You head to you're room, (past the pool that doesn't have a functioning filter and the water smelled and looked murky) the doors are locked by padlocks with huge gaps for insects. The door either jams closed or doesn't stay closed without the lock. The aircon work wonderfully (if a little smelly) theres a safe and small fridge that isn't turned on when you arrive so keep an eye on that and if there's a power outage it quickly defrosts. The bed? Ahh the bed.. It's little more than a raised floor with sheets and a mozzy net. Waking up from a restless night on that mattress is just painful.. Literally.
Unfortunately for us they were working on the hot water system but failed to let us know when we arrived, so we had no water until 930pm after we enquired about it at 7pm.
The following 4 days were met with works happening directly above our bathroom, loads of banging and drilling from 7am to around midday. This came with no power aswell which isnt ideal and the workers could see into the bathroom with full view of shower and toilet because the frosting tint didn't go all the way to the top of the window.
Breakfast was, included which was nice however nothing was warm which is alarming. A glass bottle is provided for drinking water and replenished daily. The meals for lunch and dinner are surprisingly
