Looking for local, natural, and fresh air to have fun?
I had a good experience of playing the Disc Golf at The Khmer Disc Golf Resort. My first time. It is fun.
Playing in the natural rice field and hidden forest. Fantastic.
Friendly owner, playing with him. Such a supportive and helpful.
Don't forget the bring a big water bottle with you😊
We absolutely loved our stay at The Basket Homestay! It will definitely go down as a highlight of our month-long trip to Asia. Jacob and his family made us feel so welcome—it felt like we were visiting old friends. The homestay is located in the countryside, just outside Siem Reap. We stayed in an incredibly clean and comfortable bungalow with a huge bed and plenty of space.
If you're a disc golf player, you'll especially love this location—Cambodia's first disc golf course is on-site! Jacob's brother-in-law took us out on the course, and local children served as our personal disc golf retrievers. My husband even had the chance to participate in a tournament. In the homestay’s courtyard, there are practice baskets, and there's an onsite pro shop.
There's also a bar, and I highly recommend ordering a meal prepared by Jacob’s wife—she is an incredible cook! We enjoyed meeting other disc golfers and hanging out with Jacob.
If you want to visit downtown Siem Reap, you can easily take a tuk-tuk for just a few dollars. Jacob can also arrange tours to Angkor Wat, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We learned so much more about Cambodian culture and life by staying here than we would have if we'd spent our entire time in the downtown area. It was such a special experience, and I can’t wait for the day we can return!
Very unique place to play. Different than your normal obstacles w cows and Buffalos working. The staff played w me and were very friendly and accommodating. Once in a lifetime experience
Had a good time! Unfortunately the course was a bit flooded in early October when I went, so we were limited to a few holes with some fun water carry. Could use a udisc update to define the best seasons to go.
Heads up, Google maps will guide you down a rough road once you turn off the highway. Instead ask your tuktuk driver to turn at the pagoda to get there. I drew the preferred route in green.
Yep this one is a 5, great ambiance, beautiful location, and tough for a par 3 at this time of year (rainy season) when everything is overgrown. Penh with the awesome forehand drifter was great to play with and showed me all the holes and OBs. Absolutely a must do, especially for the traveling disc golfer - total bucket lister. One note to those who follow: my tuktuk driver got lost, not as a scam but because GPS will take you out to single track craziness if you let it. If you come from central Siem Reap I suggest having your Cambodian driver speak with someone there first. Play this course...you won't regret it!
