The Big Easy Phnom Penh is a hostel on Street 172 in Daun Penh, Phnom Penh, combining dorm-style accommodation with an on-site restaurant and bar. The hostel offers 12-bed dorms with a 3-bunk bed layout, along with a restaurant serving both Western and Khmer cuisine, including dishes such as amok curry and luc lac.
Beyond the dorms, guests can use a pool table and catch live sport screenings in the bar area, which also functions as a social hub for the property. The restaurant and bar are open to both guests and outside visitors, adding to the lively, tourist-focused atmosphere of the place.
This property suits budget travellers looking for a central base in Phnom Penh with easy access to food, drink and onward excursions, rather than those seeking a quiet or private stay.

I drop in occasionally for the food here and the lively pub vibe. As always, it was a delight.
I ordered the Big Easy Breakfast for $6.75. Comes with bacon, eggs cooked as you like them, a delightful proper sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans (Heinz), and a very nice hash brown, very big too! Also a coffee or tea is included, and they're big too!
Absolutely delicious. The service is related but professional and friendly and Jack the boss fella quietly works in the background making sure everything is running smoothly.
One of my very favourite places to eat in Phnom Penh. Such a nice vibe in here and the whole menu is top class, for both Western and Khmer food 😎👍🥳🇰🇭
REVIEW FOR HOSTEL
Stayed in their 12 beds dorms for 2 nights and it was more than enough.
AC is kept to the minimum because they apparently want to save as much energy as possible, resulting in having to sleep with blinds open at night because it would be to hot in the pod otherwise.
Also, they have a 3-bunk beds layout which is totally impracticable and uncomfortable for those who are unlucky enough to get the top one.
The mattress itself was spongy and not comfy.
Facilities were somehow clean. Cleaner than the standard.
Location is OK.
For the same price, you get a totally better experience at hostel Sacred Lotus. Recommend all to check that one out if you’re reading this.
shitty hotel, didnt allow me checking after reservation on booking.com. they maid me wait for 1hr since i reached before checkin time. didnt even check. probably they filled in with more paying offline booking. and the worst part is theyre not even sorry about it. 0 accountability and saying its issue with booking.com which clearly isnt and also attitude of receptionist is insane. wouldnt recommend anyone staying here tbh
Actually only went to the pub, can't speak to the accommodations otherwise but good pub food, open air with fans, drinks and big screen TVs for all your sporting enjoyment. reasonable prices for a large tourist focused venue on Street 172 in Phnom Penh.
Great relaxed vibe in a central location. Nice red wine at very reasonable price.
I can't comment of the food, I've given up waiting for service. Could be a great deal better.
