I stayed here before a 5:30am hike. It was suggested by the visitors center as a quiet place, coincidentally one of the more expensive places. The rooms and garden are very attractive, but that's the only bright spot. There are massive gaps is the walls and floors and the bungalows are so close together,.you might as well be in a dorm. All night there was a woman coughing next door. You can even hear other people's toilets flush. There are also so many ants! All over the bathroom sink and on the bed. It was uncomfortable to sleep. Not what you want before a hike. There was also no WiFi. When I checked in, they said it would be fixed in the evening, but it never was. This place could have been great, but it ended up being the worst place I stayed in the whole country.

I had a lovely time at Sun Bear Ecolodge. You can really tell that the owners put a lot of effort into the layout to make you have the real feeling of bungalows in the jungle. The raised wooden boardwalk through the leaves is a welcoming entrance to the rooms. All the amenities are there as stated and it was really very cute. Only issue I had, which I was not about to worry over in the moment, was that the shower was not hot (actually cold) and that I think it was the ceiling that kept 'shedding' small bits of wood. I visited in the rainy season and as there wasn't much that could be done I chose to let it be. Would certainly recommend to travelers who want to really meet the locals and support the community doing such good conservation work.

The bungalows are beautiful and clean, in a private garden setting. The manager and her family are also very welcoming and helpful. We would highly recommend staying here!

Great place and really cute bungalows in a pretty garden on the edge of the village. Its off the main road so really quiet and hardly any traffic. Lots of bird calls. Hammocks galore too. Lovely family and really helpful. It's Cambodia so watch out for the dogs in Chit Phat ☆

Lovely bungalows, very comfortable and clean! Such a calm and peaceful place. Vanak came and met us at the boat because we arrived after dark. His sister made us noodles because we'd travelled through dinner and missed the restaurants in the village, which was amazing! Such lovely people and amazing place. Thank you. Highly recommended.
