Soksan Villa - Battambang

It's a great place to enjoy contemporary Cambodian art. This is the artspace of four resident artists. It includes a permanent exhibition with artworks of those four artists and a temporary exhibition of local artists. The artspace is the first and only museum of modern art in Cambodia. Some artworks are for sale. Upstairs is a lovely cafe with delicious healthy food and drinks.

Cafe: food and drinks are really good, have a good variety of everything, even you can try some fusions of flavours! Service is professional and super kind! If you spend at least 8 usd at the cafeteria, you can have a free access to the museum. Museum: Really nice and the receptionist guy will tell you everything that you need to know and also he is managing the lights between the rooms. The artworks are mostly paintings and wooden sculptures and definitely a worth to visit! Normal entrance fee: 5 usd

This place is just perfect. I use to live in Battambang for more than a year and now that I am back in my home town Barcelona I really mis this place. It is quiet, full of art and plants, made with very good taste. There is aircon so you can relax from the hot weather, the waiters are super nice and the atmosphere helps you to relax or work as I use to do. The coffee is excellent. As a foreigner leaving in Battambang I truly recommend this place.

What an amazing space which combines an art gallery featuring local artists + coffee shop on the top floor (with a great view of a Buddhist pagoda temple). This spot was THE hidden gem in Battambang and definitely one of the highlights of my trip (much better than the central market for example). Their coffee latte was excellent (they serve non dairy milks) + the art exhibition was a great way to understand their tragic history through modern art. I highly recommend you go!! Also with the $5 entrance fee, your really do support a local non profit community which has done this amazing work!

This art gallery and cafe has contemporary Cambodian artists on display in their permanent collection and a small exhibition of works for sale. A small well curated gift shop has books, prints, and scarves. Cafe is a lovely rooftop and garden space. Unfortunately no photos are allowed of the exhibited works.

My partner and I came here and had a couples massage and facial package. The service was fantastic, super relaxing. The facial was lovely and left our skin feeling so smooth, I have sensitive skin but had no issues with the products used. We were also able to shower afterwards which was perfect as we were getting an overnight bus after. The package was $35 which we thought was great value. Highly recommend!

my experience here was absolutely lovely! my female masseuse was very professional and the language barrier was not a problem. they have a very nice shower to use before/after. everything is flawlessly clean, relaxing and comfortable. i will definitely return. i chose the “retreat” package - a facial, body scrub and massage.

Massage was OK, asked the the Deep Relief Massage but was not very deep. I had to ask for more pressure. Room clean, but only a curtain, no door. It had a shower, you get tea and fruit before, and juice after. Snacks in the waiting area (probably more for the bike tour people). Make an appointment.

The best massage I’ve ever had in Asia. Who knows? We got 90 mins oil massage. The girls did a awesome job. Thank you so much! Must try ❤️❤️❤️ Right next door is also a nice lunch coffee spot.

I hesitated between 4 and 5 stars, as there are not many options for people that are hungry, but then I decided to only review based on the coffee. The coffee was good and adequately priced (1.85$). The barista spoke perfect English. There are books in Khmer if you want to read. The vibe of the coffee shop is sort of industrial.

Wow, this is a small coffee built in an old vintage building from the French colony, if you know this history about Cambodia; you’ll definitely understand what I’m saying. The drink is nice and the staffs are really friendly. Nothing to complain about, great place great vibe.

Beautiful little open-air cafe. (A/C on the 2nd floor!) The cafe looks very clean and the baristas are kind. We got a cappuccino with oat milk and an iced coffee matcha latte. They were both delicous!! The cappuccino came with a complimentary cookie and glass of fresh water. Good for vegans and lactose-free ppl, they have oat milk which doesn't cost anything extra.

This place is known as a coffee shop in the morning, but at night, they offer a pub. It was a nice place; I went there for a drink, and I prefer cocktails. Music is always played. They have designed it with Khmer ancient items, but it's nice with a modern shop look.

Don't miss this family run restaurant. Quality, authentic home style Khmer food that is far above the street style noodles and fried rice. Most meals are around $5 and good sized portions. Try the fish amok and the local Khmer pork curry. Fantastic. Have a chat with the friendly owner while you are there. He has a wealth of knowledge about the area.

Wandered into the restaurant just looking for some food and overheard a conversation between the owner and a family about the local cuisine and how most people do not understand or are not willing to learn. Within 2 minutes if this conversation we were sold on the cooking class, it did not disappoint. The trip to the market was very insightful and questions were encouraged. Everything was so simple to make yet care went into every single bit. The food tasted amazing and full recipes and tips were provided for home cooking. Highly highly recommend. Was very accommodating to vegetarian and vegan diets. A truly educational experience.

Fabulous authentic food cooked.to.oefee and personal spice levels. Great for vegetarians and vegans. Wish we could have fitted in a cooking class but ran out of time. We ate here 2 nights in succession and both times were very impressed. Great food in a restaurant one road back from the main riverside road. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed

I can’t recommend this cooking class highly enough! The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. Vannak picks you up, and together you decide which dishes you’ll prepare. Then you visit the local market to shop for all the fresh ingredients before heading to his home to cook the delicious food with his family around. I had a fantastic time cooking and getting to know him. Vannak is an amazing chef and a great host. It was truly an unforgettable experience!🙏🏻✨

An absolute gem in Battambang. The cocktails were amazing. The Lemon Grass Collin’s was the highlight. The service was impeccable. The sister serving us was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for amazing cocktails in a cool setting.

Fantastic cocktails and delicious dumplings, service was excellent and the music was on point. A cute little place to settle into early and stay for a while or drop by for a late drink and snack. Wonderful atmosphere, loved our night out here and couldn’t recommend it enough!

A cocktail bar located in the heart of Battambang Province offers several selections of cocktails. The alcohol is strong for me. If you are not good with alcohol, you can ask them to lower the amount a bit. The potato was homemade and tasty. Overall, I would visit there again for a light bite before or after dinner!

I’ve been living in Cambodia for over a year, so I have a good sense of local standards. This restaurant positions itself at a higher level, with prices above average, which naturally sets certain expectations. I recently dined there and overall had a pleasant experience, though there were a few small issues. The waitress wasn’t able to explain what “Christine Mansfield's Pork and Crab Congee” consisted of. I specifically asked for a non-spicy soup, but it was served spicy. The shrimp were not fully cleaned (the tails were still on), and I would have preferred them pan-fried rather than simply boiled. There also seemed to be a lack of napkins, and I had to ask separately for salt and pepper. I was slightly concerned that the bottle of cider may have been opened while I was in the restroom, although the waitress assured me it had been opened earlier while we were talking — which I may sim

This restaurant was a great finding while in Battambang! We've ordered fish amok and chicken green curry. It was extremely tasty and with great quality. A bit more expensive than the other local restaurants, but it was totally worth it!

Excellent 👌! Food, staff, the atmosphere and location are all fantastic at the time of this writing. A little bit pricey compared to other restaurants but still worth the visit.

We had three starters from here and they were incredible. Really recommend the mushroom dumplings. Plenty of vegetarian options. Also, it's an incredible social enterprise helping alleviate poverty.

Lovely little dinner spot in Battambang! Immediately seated in their indoor seating space, which is well air conditioned and has many pictures across the walls. We had food not too long before visiting, so instead opted for a few of their small plates. Ordered the mushroom and eggplant dumplings, mushroom bao buns, and sweet corn fritters, which proved more than enough for us. Highlight was the dumplings, which were fresh and flavourful with a delightful sweet dipping sauce. Bao were also great and again served with a tangy sauce that brought it together. Fritters were good, although quite sense and almost cakey which we just hadn't been expecting, but still tasted good. Menu features options such as a six course set menu, and opportunity to order what a staff member had for lunch, a touch that I really enjoyed! Will likely return to try out some of the main dishes. It’s a bit weird that my friend and I didn’t get any welcome words from the staff. There’s no event “ Sou Sdei or Hello bong” from both staff. They acted so equal to us. We went for a promotion for women rights day that posted on Facebook. When we asked about this promotion, they first told that there’s no any problem 1 free 1 and a minute later they told us back that there is a promotion for Vienna latte. When they asked us about the orders, they also didn’t ask about our names as other branches did (as you can see in photos). It’s not much, we just felt we didn’t get respect in the name of costumers. Hope both staffs changed their behaviors next time.

I got grande (used my own cup) honey grapefruit cold brew /sugar 50%. they made it "frappe" which was a nice surprise. Interesting yet good and refreshing. Every few months I go to see what new flavors they have, much different than other parts of the world but same western prices. This location has decent seating, I don't know about the wifi cuz I got my drink and went directly home.

Good Starbucks location, located right on NR5 from Phnom Penh before you get in to the city. Nice service, clean, plenty of seatings. Plenty of parking space. Just a regular Starbucks, no reserve menu item. Some bakeries as well.

Starbucks franchise, except that in Cambodia you can notice the cultural touch, for the better, however if it is the type of coffee you like, go ahead!!!
