Quiet lovely place, the rooms are quite big and very well equiped with ac, fridge, little kitchen, desk, and closet. So much nicer than what you get in the city center for the same price. The family is lovely and very welcoming as well!
The location is a bit far, but if you're willing to walk 20 minutes or bike to the center, I think it's really worth it for the peacful atmosphere and a more homy feeling.
Will definitely be back!
I loved staying with Nak and his family in this lovely homestay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and everything was spotless—something I really appreciated after staying in homestays with moldy pillows and stained sheets. Breakfast was provided each morning, plenty of drinking water, a mini fridge, and even a small propane burner in my room if I wanted to boil some water.
The room was spacious and well-equipped with AC, a desk, clothes rack, and mosquito netting. There are three very friendly dogs on the property, and you’ll hear roosters in the morning, but I found it charming and much preferred it to noisy hostel crowds.
Overall, this felt like a place created with genuine care and thoughtfulness for their guests. I extended my stay to a week, and wish I was able to stay longer. The next time I’m in Siem Reap I will definitely be returning here!
We had a wonderful time at Rathanak’s place. He and his wife made sure we had everything we needed. The location is central and the property is very green and quiet. The room is very spacious with a big bed, two tables and a terrace where we had a great breakfast every morning (bread, omelette, butter, jam, fresh fruits and coffee/tea). Drinking water was provided for the whole stay.
It was also possible to rent a scooter and they have a laundry service!
We can recommend it to everyone.
Rathanak & Sokha are excellent hosts. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived, and were very accommodating and helpful. Perfect location - it’s tucked away, only a 5-10 min drive out of the centre. A great breakfast too, which is included in your stay. A lovely & peaceful homestay overall! 5⭐️
See attached picture. I did not stay because of house rules. If you're OK with the rules the place is good. Nice welcome, friendly owner. Not suitable for me because I often spend more than 15 hours per day in room and I'm not willing to pay an extra 10 USD for the privilege.
To his credit - the owner offered to waive the rule but, by this time, I had already booked elsewhere.
If you're OK with the rules and you'll be out all day exploring Siem Reap this would be a good place to stay. Bed was a little firm for me but everything is clean and tidy and facilities are good. There's a lot of mosquitoes but this is common in Siem Reap in more rustic areas.
I would have liked to know about the rules before I arrived.
