I have been fortunate to stay at some incredible hotels around the world, but Shinta Mani Wild is truly in a category of its own. From the moment I zip-lined into the property, I knew this wasn't going to be a normal hotel experience. And somehow, it only got better from there. The food was phenomenal throughout my stay, and I loved that you can be as adventurous or as relaxed as you want. One morning I was hiking through the Cambodian jungle, another highlight was hopping on the back of a motorcycle with the Wildlife Alliance and getting a firsthand look at the conservation work they are doing to protect this extraordinary place. Then you come back to your tent, have an incredible spa treatment, and end the day soaking in the bathtub on your private balcony surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. That contrast is what makes this place so special. But as amazing as the setting and experiences are, the Cambodian staff were what I will remember most. Every person I interacted with was gracious, warm, genuine and incredibly proud to share this special part of their country with you. They make you feel less like a hotel guest and more like you've been welcomed into their home. I also love that there is a real purpose behind Shinta Mani Wild. This isn't luxury dropped into the middle of the jungle simply because it looks beautiful.
