Bon à savoir
Accommodation is basic and suitable for low-maintenance travellers. Bungalows can get warm; fans are provided. The resort has shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Snorkels can be rented from a neighbouring homestay.

An absolutely phenomenal place, tucked away from the main road. I stayed here for a week during the low season and, apart from the staff, I had the whole resort completely to myself.
The bungalows are very simple – just a bed, a safe, and two chairs on the veranda – but that was more than enough for me.
There's an on-site restaurant serving absolutely delicious food at very reasonable prices. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The bathrooms, showers, and shared kitchen are spotless.
A word of warning for the high-maintenance travellers: Sunset Bay is reached by a narrow jungle path. You won't enjoy the walk in your flip-flops while dragging a giant wheeled suitcase behind you. There's no ironing board, only cold water in the taps, no mobile signal, and the Wi-Fi is nowhere near fast enough for scrolling Instagram all day.
What you do get is a breathtaking beach, a beautiful bay, and the kind of peace that's becoming harder and harder to find. I sincerely hope it stays exactly that way.
We had an amazing stay at Robinson Bungalows. The beach was our favourite ever and Robinsons was the best way to experience it! The pictures don’t do it justice! We stayed in a glamping tent. It was clean and spacious and truly amazing to wake up to the sound of the waves and jump in the sea! It was a bit hot (as you’d expect) but the staff provided fans, and we slept really well! We loved the free paddle boards and enjoying a drink during happy hours before a beautifully prepared Khmer meal with lots of options on the menu. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They helped us plan our travel off the island. It is remote, and wifi is limited, which only added to the experience. The facilities are great considering the lack of infrastructure on the island and the whole experience was such good value for money. We arrived by boat from M’Pai pier and got a boat for $20 dollars direct to Sunset Beach. We just asked at the pier and they sorted it there. We left via Saracens bay to get back to the mainland. We had to walk 15 mins then got the tractor Straight to Eden pier. The walk is short but a bit tricky with big bags, but the tractor was organised through Robinsons and worked great- and was fun! Thank you so much for an amazing stay!
I cannot recommend this place enough. If you after a chill , clean beach this is the place
Great for snorkeling and paddle boarding .
Sebastian and his staff are great and super welcoming. I'll defo be back
Firstly, the sunset beach side of the island is way better, calmer and cleaner so do yourself a favour. We were greeted by Sebastian with a cold drink and he told us about the island and the stay. Throughout our stay (we extended) him and his team were phenomenal — hospitable, accommodating and friendly. The bungalows are simple and great, providing an authentic stay. They have paddle boards (free), volleyball, etc. you can rent snorkels from a neighbouring homestay to go see the coral reefs (recommended). The beach bar opens in the afternoon and they also have happy hour (beer and cocktails). The atmosphere is great but no party vibes. This is a calm place to chill in a hammock and read a book, go for swims and just let the time slow down. This being the Sunset beach, one of the highlights is the sunset itself. The food is also great (they provide delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner). We really enjoyed staying here and glad we didn’t stay on the other side of the island. Come here if you want chill, romantic and quiet experience.
It’s hard to find the right words to describe this place. From the moment you arrive, you feel like you’re in paradise.
The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming — you immediately feel at home.
The location is stunning, and going back to the city afterward felt like a real shock. The beach is beautiful, the sea is crystal clear, and the facilities are great: everything is clean, comfortable, and well thought out. I slept in a tent and honestly loved it you have everything you need.
The food at the restaurant is delicious, with a menu with only Khmer dishes (10/10). You can charge your phone at the bar, keep in mind the Wi-Fi doesn’t always work, but with such a scenery like this you don’t really need it ;)
Robinson is the perfect place to truly rest, enjoy some free paddle boards , volleyball but also a good beer or cocktail at the beach bar or by the bonfire, right between the beach and the jungle.
I can only recommend it — you won’t be disappointed.
