Right on the heart of the River Kampot , the breakfast was amazing also the lunch very delightful the staff is very friendly and courteous. I loved swimming in the pool had the pool all to myself doing my little doggy paddle swim great cocktails. The staff is very accommodating because I had a hangover and stayed an extra night with no problem which was beautiful very nice of them . MUST STAY , I had the balcony on the second floor and the view of the pool at night is gorgeous!! 10/10♥️
Clean room, comfortable bed, good shower, fridge, great AC!!. All the staff was very friendly relaxed and professional. Limited english. It is a little noisy at night due to neighboring restaurant's music and crowd. Didn't bother me but a light sleeper might want earplugs. They have a bike you can rent. Pool is clean and rectangular so you can even swim laps to exercise if you want. On still evenings, there were some pesky little (non-biting) gnats, and a few mosquitos, but under fan or on a breezy evening it was fine.
Pippali is an amazing hotel, rooms cool and clean. Pool area shaded so the pool is very refreshing. Breakfast menu has many options, cocktails are delicious and the staff are very very accommodating, helpful and professional. Highly recommend AAA+
Pros: less rooms, less people. The pool is large enough and is in the shade of tropical garden. Near the city centre and the river promenade. Staff helpfull and always with the smile on their faces.
Cons: really loud noice from the neighbouring restaurants which lasts long to the night. In front of the hotel there are old and loud boats sailing back from fishing from 4am to 4:30. Early aprox from 6am there is a noice from the kitchen of the next door restaurant and loud music from the residental building behind the hotel. This is what you really want after that already noisy night. Breakfast ala carte with small porcions. Hotel really needs a reconstruction.
