Everything was perfect! Manel and his family are very welcoming and friendly people. The guesthouse was very clean and our room had everything we needed: a comfy bed, hot shower, wardrobe, table etc. We stayed for a week and we would've stayed longer if we could! His guesthouse is slightly out of town, but only a 15 minute walk to where most of the nice restaurants are in town - and he will help you organise a tuktuk if you need. But you can also eat in the guest house, and the food is great. We had breakfast there most days. He helped us organise our tour with Jahoo gibbon camp and rented a moto to us for one day. He also suggested some places to visit like bousra waterfall which were great.
I would reccomend to those who come to Mondulkiri who want to book yours, to go with the Jahoo gibbon camp and elephant valley project, and not to go with other tour providers. These two are really the best places to visit and have the best intentions for protecting wildlife and supporting local communities. Manel advertises some other tours, but these are not as ethical.
Manel was an incredibly kind host who welcomed us into his guesthouse. He helped us to schedule a two-day trek through the jungle, which was an amazing experience. The food was also really good, with a nice outside area where we could enjoy his cooking. The rooms were clean, the beds were large, and the shower was great. I really recommend Manel's guesthouse!
Manel and his family are the best. So accommodating and friendly. Helped me out with booking tours and giving me advice on what to do and where to go in the area. The scooter I rented from them was in great condition and perfect for getting around town.
They also have a restaurant that's open all day with good food and they can even do your laundry for you.
Can't recommend this place enough!
Great hospitality! Manel, the owner, is the most friendliness guy, super funny and will organise everything for you. I like the atmosphere in the guesthouse - it's a mix of family, friends and other travellers. The balcony is calm with a beautiful garden view. The dorm is spacious and super well equipped. Just perfect! 👌
Thank you Manel and family ❤️
I stayed at Manel’s guesthouse for 4 nights with a couple of friends. It was amazing. The rooms were very nice and clean. The food in the restaurant is delicious. Manel and his family are super nice and helpful. And there are 2 cute kittens.
The first day we rented motorbikes to go to different places Manel had recommended. The second and third day we did a jungle hike with Hong and slept in a local village. We booked it through Manel. It was challenging but worth it. We could leave our suitcase at the guesthouse while hiking.
I would 100% recommend staying at this place. One of my favorite guesthouses in Cambodia.
