Absolute best place to stay on Koh Rong if you’re looking to meet amazing people and experience island life! The location right on Long Set Beach is incredible you literally step out of your room onto white sand.
The reps and staff keep the atmosphere super social with daily games, beach volleyball, and evening events, but it’s still relaxed enough during the day to chill by the water. Food and drinks at the restaurant are great and reasonably priced. Huge shoutout to the team for making it such an awesome stay. Will definitely be back! 🏝️✨

Without a doubt the best hostel in Koh Rong - it’s on the beachfront so an incredible location and the vibes and atmosphere are outstanding - from the chilled beach vibes where they make you feel like your staying at a 5 star hotel to the absolute best nights full of dancing, karaoke, and of course many drinks. This has definitely been my favourite mad monkey not just for the location but the incredible staff including Zhak who is so welcoming, helpful and kind - he even managed to get me and my friend to sing at karaoke despite our lack of singing abilities (and gave us a free shot for it!). Would absolutely be back again and would recommend this location to everyone and anyone! All of the staff are wonderful and really know how to make a night fun while also being a good chat. Despite being on a beach the hostel is also completely clean and sand free! The food at this location is also super yummy and i haven’t even felt the need to eat anywhere else (I really recommend the gyros - beer tower combo deal!!!). Apart from the nestival on saturday night we haven’t actually gone more than 50m from the hostel.
I was here for only 2 nights but they were both fantastic. The hostel includes its own Beach Volleyball net. I stayed in what was about a 10 person dorm and it was fine. The beds were comfy and you can’t ask for more as somewhere to sleep. The showers and toilets for the dorms were shared.
The main part of the hostel includes a large seating area with a bar and music which is situated about 2 meters off the gorgeous beach. They had Hannuman Beer on tap which was the first tap beer I’d had in a long time travelling SEA and was very welcome. The food that was on offer was also really good and pretty reasonable considering it’s a very touristy island.
The vibe of a night was absolutely bouncing, loads of great people, good music all day and each day there is a welcome meeting which includes a free cocktail which is at around 18:00 in the evening.
I also managed to cut my foot open while here and the staff gave me medical equipment to deal with it which was helpful. So just don’t be an idiot and dive into the slightly raised concrete path while playing Beach Volleyball like me.
BEST HOSTEL EVER !! We have loved our time here wish we could stay forever. Zhak welcomed us in straight away and looked after us throughout our whole stay sorting everything out for us and getting us involved. Silliest nights ever thanks to all the amazing reps🔥🔥🔥. Especially tess🫶🏼🫶🏼. 10/10 cant wait to come back
