Excellent! We stayed in the main house, it was perfect. The building has an interesting history and is within walking distance to the town centre, river and bridges. Mr Sarin and his family are genuine, friendly people who were happy to chat to us about Cambodia. Our guide, Mr Chai was great, we would highly recommend you ask for him to show you around. Great value. Thank you for a great stay in Battambang 😀
I have stayed in many budget rooms with a fan. This room itself is a fully operational sauna, they provide a fan that was built my Tom Ford himself ( he built the first working car ). Then to get AC remote controller, there is a fee totaling to $20 dollar for 5 nights.
I left within 1 hour and of course the owners do not offer a refund and will happily take free money and attempt to get more for this diabolical room.
Lovely stay. Owners were super helpful sending a free pick up from the bus station and arranging drivers for tours. The day we left we were getting a sleeper bus at 10pm so they were lovely and put our bags somewhere safe, let us stay around the grounds and use the bathroom eventhough we had already checked out. Family room was a very decent size and bathroom was adequate. Location is fine as there isn't loads to do in the centre anyway so most tourist hot-spots require a tuk-tuk (it may be cheaper to book a full tour on get your guide, especially if you are solo or just 2 though!). There are limited restaurants and shops nearby, but as they serve nice food on site all day that wasn't a problem (the portion sizes were good and reasonably priced). Plus there are shops within walking distance, just a little bit longer than 5 mins!
Room was barely bigger than the bed, which was in itself fairly uncomfortable and hard.
Bathroom was tiny and has a very low ceiling.
If you book a "fan" room, the fan will simply circulate the hot air around the room forever.
If you decide to upgrade to "AC", you will be charged $4 per day.
No sound insulation or thermal insulation.
Bed linen had clearly not be changed as there were long black hairs all through it.
Long walk to anything useful.
Mediocre attempts at care, from the staff.
Wouldn't book again.
We stayed for 4 days and had a lovely time.
We booked the basic room with the fan which had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable.
The hosts are welcoming, friendly and happy to help with anything that you might need.
The location is set away from the main town which makes it nice and quiet, the property itself is beautiful and has lots of garden areas to sit in and relax. You can also order breakfast, lunch and dinner at the property which is super convenient!
