Long Beach Resort is a remote beachfront property on Koh Rong Samloem island in Cambodia. The resort occupies a secluded stretch of beach with views across the water. Rooms include family suites with spacious layouts. The on-site restaurant serves meals, and a bar operates for drinks and sunset viewing. The resort is best suited to guests seeking isolation and a nature-focused stay who are prepared for limited nearby alternatives and higher prices typical of remote island locations.

Good to know
Pricing policies differ depending on booking method: guests who book directly with the resort can bring their own food and drinks at no charge, while those booking through third-party platforms may incur fees. Additional charges apply for services including grilling ($30), beer ($10 per case), and meat ($5 per kg). The resort has internal rules that guests should clarify before arrival.
Yes the viral videos are true, the water does cost $3 and it’s not even cold! You are secluded so you don’t have any other options, you could walk a few hundred yards to Natura resort next door where the same size water is $1.50.
The reception young man and young lady are very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant ladies are also very friendly and it’s clear they work very hard. It’s not clear what the male managers do in the restaurant, wear a shirt, stand around looking unhappy and playing on their phones whilst the ladies do all the hard work. The prices are high for very standard food. Next time I would simply stay at Soksan beach, more options, better food, better service.
The resort has a very beautiful beach, but it is quite remote and isolated. The internal rules are also confusing. If you book directly with the resort, you can bring in your own food and drinks for free. However, if you book through Booking.com, you will be charged for bringing them in.
The fees are quite high: a grill costs $30, a case of beer is $10, and meat is $5 per kg. But if you buy from the resort, grilled meat costs around $25 per kg. Overall, everything is expensive, making it difficult to decide whether to stay or leave. It feels like a “prison without walls” — when you’re there, it’s isolated, and the food is overpriced and not worth it.
In general, you should think carefully about whether to stay at this place. If you’re looking for good food, comfortable accommodation, and proximity to other entertainment spots, you should consider staying somewhere else.
Overall, it’s a regrettable experience choosing to stay and vacation at this resort.
Avoid this hotel. My flights were canceled due to the Middle East crisis—completely outside my control. I politely asked them for a refund repeatedly, however they refused and showed zero flexibility or basic customer consideration. My problem only got resolved after escalation through Booking.com. Based on this experience, I would never stay here and would not recommend it to anyone.
We stopped here for sunset and had a drink at the bar. It is a great spot for sunset on the beach.
Service could be a lot better, took approx 15 minutes after we paid for our drink for it to be brought to the table and it was not busy.
On 1/03/26, I booked a speedboat ticket with the driver pick-up at $25 per person, but they asked me to pay $30 per person on the day I checked in on 13/03/26.
They said that on 6/03/26, the “Preah Sihanouk Province Marine Tourism Transport Agents Association” announced the price increase to $30 per person.
We had agreed on a price of $25 per person, but if the Preah Sihanouk Province Marine Tourism Transport Agents Association changed the price after 6/03/26 and I checked in on 13/03/26, why didn’t they contact me to update me about the price change before I checked in? Given this situation, am I responsible for this, or should the resort take responsibility for the matter since we already agreed on $25 per person before the Association announced the price change?
