we spent six nights here, and absolutely loved it.
rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. our bed was very comfy.
pool and sun lounger area was very nice. comfy sun loungers. the on-site restaurant was good - only western options, but all were done well. recommend the prawn poke bowl. the pancakes at breakfast time were also really good.
great location. really accessible from the local port. quick walk to main beach and restaurants.
main highlight for us was the staff. the team couldn’t do enough for us. everyone was so friendly, enthusiastic and happy to help. nothing was too much trouble. even noticed the owner taking his paddleboard out into the bay and cleaning up rubbish / plastic that floats in with the tide. incredible attention to detail that was really appreciated. as amazing as lanting villas is, the staff really make the place extra special.
snorkels and paddle board were avaliable to use for free.
the hotels resident cat was also so lovely and friendly!
we were sad to leave here, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or return.

A quiet and beautiful place with all the comforts you need in the rooms. There’s no private beach, but it’s not an issue at all. The village is located on the island’s longest beach, and after just a five-minute walk you can easily find a perfect spot to sunbathe. The hotel has a wonderful pool with comfortable loungers. During my five-day stay, I was able to relax completely — 100%.
Spent three nights here. Really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are a great size and the location is great - this beach is quieter than the main areas but there is still a small street with good choices of bars and restaurants. This is a good spot for people who are looking for a slower and more relaxed pace (although the busier areas are easily accessed by bike - which you can rent - or tuktuk).
The owner was so helpful and friendly - we booked multiple tours through them. I would highly recommend!
The hotel has a very beautiful location and the staff are super friendly. The rooms are clean and well equipped. You can rent a scooter directly at the hotel and also have your laundry done. There is also a paddleboard that you can use free of charge
We stayed at Lanting Villas and had a fantastic experience. The rooms are clean, modern and very comfortable, and the best part is the incredible sea views, you can enjoy them from the room and also from the bar/restaurant area, especially at sunset.
The whole place has a relaxed, peaceful vibe, the grounds are well kept, and it’s a great spot to unwind right by the water.
Staff were friendly and helpful and everything was easy from check-in to check-out.
Highly recommend Lanting Villas if you want a comfortable stay with amazing ocean views.
