I’ve been living in Cambodia for over a year, so I have a good sense of local standards. This restaurant positions itself at a higher level, with prices above average, which naturally sets certain expectations. I recently dined there and overall had a pleasant experience, though there were a few small issues. The waitress wasn’t able to explain what “Christine Mansfield's Pork and Crab Congee” consisted of. I specifically asked for a non-spicy soup, but it was served spicy. The shrimp were not fully cleaned (the tails were still on), and I would have preferred them pan-fried rather than simply boiled. There also seemed to be a lack of napkins, and I had to ask separately for salt and pepper. I was slightly concerned that the bottle of cider may have been opened while I was in the restroom, although the waitress assured me it had been opened earlier while we were talking — which I may sim

This restaurant was a great finding while in Battambang! We've ordered fish amok and chicken green curry. It was extremely tasty and with great quality. A bit more expensive than the other local restaurants, but it was totally worth it!

Excellent 👌! Food, staff, the atmosphere and location are all fantastic at the time of this writing. A little bit pricey compared to other restaurants but still worth the visit.

We had three starters from here and they were incredible. Really recommend the mushroom dumplings. Plenty of vegetarian options. Also, it's an incredible social enterprise helping alleviate poverty.

Lovely little dinner spot in Battambang! Immediately seated in their indoor seating space, which is well air conditioned and has many pictures across the walls. We had food not too long before visiting, so instead opted for a few of their small plates. Ordered the mushroom and eggplant dumplings, mushroom bao buns, and sweet corn fritters, which proved more than enough for us. Highlight was the dumplings, which were fresh and flavourful with a delightful sweet dipping sauce. Bao were also great and again served with a tangy sauce that brought it together. Fritters were good, although quite sense and almost cakey which we just hadn't been expecting, but still tasted good. Menu features options such as a six course set menu, and opportunity to order what a staff member had for lunch, a touch that I really enjoyed! Will likely return to try out some of the main dishes. My partner and I visited Joseba’s Human Gallery in July 2023. We highly recommend coming here if you have an hour or two in Battambang. Joseba, the photographer, personally met us and shared his story about traveling around the world (including Africa, India, and Southeast Asia) to meet and photograph people from 2010-2022, of which seven of these years were on bicycle and many years were working with UNICEF. His story is inspirational and we loved his photos - particularly his portrait photos of people around the developing world. We decided to purchase two larger photos for our home because they were beautiful and compelling. Joseba donates proceeds from photo sales towards education for disadvantaged children near Battambang, and you can donate directly as well. This visit was very worthwhile for us and we were glad we went!

Beautiful exhibition at Human Gallery, a must do in Battambang! We met Joseba when we walked in and he was so friendly, he talked to us about his story and about some of the people he's photographed over the years. Really inspiring stuff. All of his photos are for sale in various different sizes which are a great way to support him and his great cause. Don't sleep on this and go have a look!

Highly recommended!!! Must go before he moves away from Siem Reap! It was very interesting to hear him sharing his stories and experience cycling around the world. Also, he mentioned he is planning another tour coming up real soon. His determination really is inspiring and motivating. His photographs tell stories, from the people he captured, you can see they speak to you. It’s cool that there is also postcard side photo that you can buy, though there are many other sizes too. And he actually handwritten the location and year on the back of the photo, that’s very thoughtful. He also let us try some of his homemade liquors. Strong liquor with interesting taste.

A eye-opening and heart-warming must-see in Battambang. Joseba is very personable and he will show you around the gallery. His journey is epic and salutary.

We were really glad we stopped by the gallery. You don’t always expect the photographer to be present, but Joseba greeted us warmly, and very kindly explained his story and answered any questions about the photos. We stayed for two hours in the end, so many of the photos are very powerful and moving that I felt I could just stare at some of them. Of course it’s very interesting to chat to Joseba also, he’s had an adventurous life and has a lot of stories to tell! The gallery is an excellently renovated colonial building which is lovely in itself. Finally the prints are great quality and we ended up getting 10 of them to post to friends and just for ourselves. Probably the best thing we did in Battambang!

An absolute gem in Battambang. The cocktails were amazing. The Lemon Grass Collin’s was the highlight. The service was impeccable. The sister serving us was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for amazing cocktails in a cool setting.

Fantastic cocktails and delicious dumplings, service was excellent and the music was on point. A cute little place to settle into early and stay for a while or drop by for a late drink and snack. Wonderful atmosphere, loved our night out here and couldn’t recommend it enough!

A cocktail bar located in the heart of Battambang Province offers several selections of cocktails. The alcohol is strong for me. If you are not good with alcohol, you can ask them to lower the amount a bit. The potato was homemade and tasty. Overall, I would visit there again for a light bite before or after dinner!

THE best place to have a cocktail in Battambang, incredible decor, lovely staff and owner - went there 3 nights in a row! My favourite was the Indochina Martini

Wow, this is a small coffee built in an old vintage building from the French colony, if you know this history about Cambodia; you’ll definitely understand what I’m saying. The drink is nice and the staffs are really friendly. Nothing to complain about, great place great vibe.

Not just a beautiful shop, but the drink was so gooood 10/10. I ordered matcha moka pod with ice cream 🍵🍵 highly recommend

Beautiful little open-air cafe. (A/C on the 2nd floor!) The cafe looks very clean and the baristas are kind. We got a cappuccino with oat milk and an iced coffee matcha latte. They were both delicous!! The cappuccino came with a complimentary cookie and glass of fresh water. Good for vegans and lactose-free ppl, they have oat milk which doesn't cost anything extra.

This place is known as a coffee shop in the morning, but at night, they offer a pub. It was a nice place; I went there for a drink, and I prefer cocktails. Music is always played. They have designed it with Khmer ancient items, but it's nice with a modern shop look.

Don't miss this family run restaurant. Quality, authentic home style Khmer food that is far above the street style noodles and fried rice. Most meals are around $5 and good sized portions. Try the fish amok and the local Khmer pork curry. Fantastic. Have a chat with the friendly owner while you are there. He has a wealth of knowledge about the area.

Wandered into the restaurant just looking for some food and overheard a conversation between the owner and a family about the local cuisine and how most people do not understand or are not willing to learn. Within 2 minutes if this conversation we were sold on the cooking class, it did not disappoint. The trip to the market was very insightful and questions were encouraged. Everything was so simple to make yet care went into every single bit. The food tasted amazing and full recipes and tips were provided for home cooking. Highly highly recommend. Was very accommodating to vegetarian and vegan diets. A truly educational experience.

Fabulous authentic food cooked.to.oefee and personal spice levels. Great for vegetarians and vegans. Wish we could have fitted in a cooking class but ran out of time. We ate here 2 nights in succession and both times were very impressed. Great food in a restaurant one road back from the main riverside road. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed

I can’t recommend this cooking class highly enough! The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. Vannak picks you up, and together you decide which dishes you’ll prepare. Then you visit the local market to shop for all the fresh ingredients before heading to his home to cook the delicious food with his family around. I had a fantastic time cooking and getting to know him. Vannak is an amazing chef and a great host. It was truly an unforgettable experience!🙏🏻✨

If you are in Battambang at all and looking for a clean , relaxing , friendly and highly efficient spa salon to go to then this is definitely the place. My husband and I both got pedicures and were very very impressed with the price as compared to Australia was so cheap. It is not expensive at all for the beautiful and clean environment that you experience whilst there as if you want cheap cheap you can tell the difference. My husband needed his heels scraped and the young boy that attended to him was so lovely and professional and just wanted it to be perfect for him and it showed. My husband after commented by saying it was literally the best one he has ever ever had and he has definitely had a few. The young boy is first class and deserves all the praise in the world. We left a tip for both our services as my pedicure was also so well done and she was also so lovely and the attention

Staff where amazing from the moment I arrived, made me relaxed. And I for sure would recommend it was an absolutely amazing experience. I had an hour-long oil massage. The massage was performed by a very competent and professional masseuse. 💆🏽‍♀️ I often go to different massage parlors, but this one gave me a truly amazing massage, which was different from the rest. 🤩 I was also greeted with a delicious welcome drink, and after the massage, I was treated to an unusual, delicious tea. 🫖 I definitely recommend everyone who appreciates a good massage to come here and enjoy it. 👍

Never heard of 4 hand massage before, but so happy I tried it. The best kind of massage I have experienced! And such a beautiful spa and friendly staff.

I have just had the most amazing, relaxing and professional 90 minute massage. It was a traditional Khmer massage with jasmine oil...fantastic. My masseur was Naro who was awesome...he is such a talented therapist.

One of the best places to eat in Battambang! The food was absolutely delicious. They didn't have draft beer when I visited in early April, even though other reviews mentioned it. However, everything else was so good that I had the house wine instead—it was only $2 per glass during happy hour!

We had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The quality of the food was excellent, with a great selection of international dishes such as gazpacho and Spanish omelette, both full of authentic flavor and perfectly prepared. We also loved the local cuisine, especially the beef loklak, which was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Everything was fresh, well presented, and full of taste. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy both international and local flavors in one place.

Really nice place in Battambang. Right in the heart of the place in a lovely street. Downstairs a nice shop, upstairs a café and restaurant. Cappuccino was nice but not excellent. Spicy Cambodia chicken for lunch was just great. Lovely staff, good prices too.

Very charming place with welcoming staff, very nice option as you are also contributing to a very good cause. Extense menu combining local and international food. It was delicious.

Had a delicious traditional noodle meal at this little restaurant in the French quarter of Battambang. Food all freshly prepared and cooked. Wonderful attentive staff. Well worth visiting. Took advantage of happy hour for a couple of beers and a house wine. Cost also included 2 main courses and deserts.

Really lovely little place. I came here twice during my trip, once for western food when I was very hungover and craving a sandwich and once for local food and both were great. The French bread/baguette here with tuna is really good and crispy which seems to be hard to find in Cambodia. The noodles with beef and fried egg were really filling and had lots of fresh vegetables. Very comfy, lovely service and nice and quiet to relax a bit.

good dishes with nice ingredients. i got bruschetta it was perfect and i got the lasagne. it came with side salad and few pieces of garlic bread. nicely packaged to go, see photos. lasagne flavor was pretty good and the cheese was very fragrant and overpowering for me i wouldn't get it again. next time i will try something pesto or ម្ហូបខ្មែរ instead. they have a very wellstocked bar for anyone wanting to drink more than just beer.

Having looked for places with good reviews we decided on this place. With a menu of both Western and Khmer dishes, there was a lot of choice. We tried the fried eggplant with pork and rice and, on the recommendation of a gentleman at the bar, also ordered the lasagna. We were glad we did because it was excellent. Very flavourful with quality ingredients and nicely cooked pasta sheets. The fried eggplant was delicious too. Prices were reasonable, staff were friendly, and all round satisfying experience and we may well return. NB: We did return and had the pasta aglio e olio and the beef chopsteak and fries. The pasta was absolutely delicious, cooked al dente and so flavourful for such a simple dish. The chopsteak was similar to the hamburger steak you get in Japan. I had really great time here. Met a lot of locals and some people from Europa. Owner is cool guy and he has really good friends. Food was delicious.

Good restaurant serving both Cambodian and Western food. Ice cold beers and good French wine available by the glass. Coffee and tea also. Manger is Cambodian but speaks good English and a little French. I’ve been here a few times over a number of years when I visit Battambang. Nice atmosphere, background music and very clean tables and toilet facilities. Good free WiFi. Breakfast, lunch or dinner the food is made fresh which is what I enjoy. Single people like me, couples or large groups all seem to go there, but i guess best to warn them before if you have a very large group.
